I sold my house in two days for 16K over asking price. I had to relocate home to another area of country per doctors requests to see to an ailing mother. I requested information on line per home light and up nest for information on top realtors in my area. I received calls, information and links to 15 realtors in the area. Unfortunately this experience was disappointing. There were reviews of realtors and their top agents as far away as Westerville with glowing reviews showcasing their accomplishments offering sales pitches. None of these offices however were willing to do an in person meeting to view and assess my property. It has had extensive improvements and upgrades to increase its value. Instead they opted for a phone consultation offering sales prices of the general area and offered a listing price based on this information and offered a negative opinion of the area, the west side of Columbus. I was only slightly offended. The one and only exception to the list of realtors was Carlton and Sarah Shaffer of The Shaffer Group and Remax Affiliates. They asked for an in person consultation at my convenience to view and assess the property. They brought pictures from the homes original 2015 remodel prior to my ownership for a comparison. They immediately noticed the upgrades, took complete photos of the house to assess the before and after views, asked for information and receipts reflecting the monetary investments. They performed a cost analysis of the improvements, the new projected value of the house with these upgrades and offered a direction they would like to offer the house in a presentation on the market. I was impressed. I told Sarah I can be a bitch to work for and represent. They both said they were up for the challenge and wanted to earn my business. Very refreshing. My house was presented and viewed with 25 HD photos with an unprecedented not stop viewings for 3 days which garnered 17 written offers. The presentation was well thought out, directed, received and complete. They did what nobody else wanted to do. Nobody could've asked for more. Thank you.
