Had a great meal - with leftovers! - on Labor Day on our way home from visiting family. The food was great, the portions were generous - soup, salad and pizza - the atmosphere was relaxed, and staff (we sat at the bar) were really attentive and helpful, even sending us home with a loaf of their bread and also a couple of servings of their great garlic butter. It was also fun to read the family's history, and to be reminded of the many great family-owned businesses that are still out there. We followed the meal with a fun tour through the grocery and the wine room. Give this a try if you haven't - or haven't for a while.

First time visiting. Service was wonderful.Had heard good things about this place & we were not dissapointed.Manicotti was superb, and I had a Shrimp/Mussel soup that was amazingly good. (I still can't figure out how they got that much garlic into a soup, but it was amazingly good)Finished off the meal with a nice Tiramisu and a perfect Cappucino. Will definetly be back to explore more of the menu.

First time to Carfagnas's Ristorante. Popped in for a snack of cocktails and calamari. The calamari was great! Dan preferred the tomato horsey dipping sauce and I preferred the sweet heat. Margarita for Dan and the seasonal Lemon Cranberry Drop for me. It was all pretty good. The island bar is quite large and is surrounded by a bit of a dining room area. The ristorante was a little quiet as we were there between meals (around 4pm), but it became quite busy by time we left. The service was attentive. Carfagna's Enoteca (wineshop) was packed with wine tastings going on. They have various happy hours and today featured several martini specials. We'll definitely be back for dinner sometime and I'll update the review.

Went here for Lunch with the family on a Saturday. Reservations are highly recommended for big parties. It was busy!! I got the arancini and the chicken parm. The portions are huge. The pasta felt mushy and watery to me though. Not sure if it was cooked fully. I did have a lot of leftovers though.

Great service in the meat department! Fun to wander through the store and feel like you're in Italy. We love the spicy chicken sausage links, spaghetti meatballs, meatballs for wedding soup and will soon find out if the bacon wrapped filets are any good.

I've shopped here many times and finally got to enjoy a meal here. Service was great which I appreciate and everything was very good. Will try and plan future trips here for both a meal and then shopping. I would say the atmosphere is cozy, we were there December 27th so decorated for the holidays

Really had high hopes for this place, as people around Columbus think it's great. Actually, it's quite average. The food was very good, but definitely forgettable. I had Rigatelli Arrabbiato. She had the baked lasagna, which she thought was good, but had been sitting for a while. Our third had Gnocchi Carfagna in the vodka sauce which he thought was okay. No bread served before hand. Our server said it's only available upon request. Upon request?!? Bread?!? Service was warm & friendly, but a touch slow. The restaurant ambiance was bland. It LOOKS like an old grocery turned into a restaurant. Definitely not the best Italian restaurant in Columbus. It's ok, but it's another old Columbus name still trying to pretend it's the best in the city. It needs to do a lot better.

One of the worst meals we've ever had. The flavor of thechicken picatta was absolutely terrible - WAY too many capers completely dominated the flavor of this dish, which should have a more delicate flavor of lemon with just a few bits of caper .... my dish must have had a full 4 oz jar dumped on it, as well as WAY too many chunks of lemon with rind. Inedible. Didn't want leftovers. Lasagne was not quite as bad - mushy and heavy but edible.Service was good.Ambiance was also good - casual. But we will never be back, which is disappointing because we love Italian food.
