Capuano's Pizza House

We are visiting family here in Ohio, who regularly get pizza from here, so I got some additional insight.Food all looked pretty good, but the cheese had a lot of browning on it. Didn't taste burned or anything, but maybe using cheap shredded cheese with a lot of anticake in it?The salad was good, seemed pretty fresh, as did the vege toppings that we had in the pizzas. The crusts were a bit odd, and tasted cardboard like. The sauce is also pretty sweet.Nothing terrible, just a little off. My in laws commented that it had been a while since they got pizza there and they thought the sauce and crusts had changed from the usual. The pizza box was funny, I like the text on the edge of the box.

Not a pizza copy cat like some places. Excellent quality cheese with aromatic flavor, not just part skim mozzarella. Good toppings but can get pricey pretty quickly if you load on the toppings. Still, the best of the seemingly 100 pizza places in Pataskala already.

The pizzas are great, although a little pricy. In all honesty, I'd give this spot 5 stars if it weren't for the nasty attitudes of everyone who seems to work here. For a mom and pop pizza place, you'd think they'd care about relationships with their community and maintaining returning customers. My family has never even been smiled at by the people running the restaurant. Every time we've placed an order over the phone, they've answered in single word responses. "What?", "K.", "Fine.", etc. and when we arrive to pay, they behave in the exact same way. If you don't want to work at a pizza place, quit. No one is forcing you to stay open, and your customers shouldn't be treated like they're inconveniencing you when they're giving you their money. It's just rude, and the long list of reviews stating the exact same thing make it clear that this family doesn't care about anyone or anything but overcharging on pizza. Imagine how much more business they would do if they simply made an effort to treat their customers with common courtesy. Many times we've gone to Massey's or even Donatos because being glared at and talked down to is the last thing you want to do when picking up dinner on a Friday night.

I tried Capuano's pizza in Pataskala. I'm new to the area and was looking for a good pizza that wasnt a huge chain. It looked good but I was not impressed at all. The lady I believes name was Chris that worked the counter wasn't a friendly person at all. She rolled her eyes and was very short and crabby, was only friendly with the regulars she knew. I stood in line an extra 20 minutes longer than the 40 minute time I was given. I honestly won't be running back out anytime soon to get a pizza there or if at all. I hope you will have a better experience.

They have change the long standing recipe. Different crush , sauce and maybe the cheese. Very disappointing

Always great tasting pizzas and subs. My family gets carryout here regularly Staff is friendly and food is ready at the time quoted.

2.5 stars. Pizza was just ok. Tasted like there were additives and preservatives in the sauce or something. Just average. Sub was just ok too. A lot of bread, didn't seem like the ingredients were fresh. Was runny and wilted like it was reheated or in the oven as a complete made up sub rather than just the bun.

I've lived in Pataskala for over 30 yrs. Have always ordered from you. I don't know if it's me but the taste isn't the same. Ordered some subs today and the taste is definitely different. I overheard a talk at school last week about the same topic. As for the subs today, less meat I thought and barely dressing and it didn't taste the same. Had a pizza last month , I'm sorry didn't taste the same. I'm just asking!

This is super old school, mom and pop style Italian/pizza. Definitely worth a try. I'm glad I found this place.
