Cap City River Time

Great experience! I have wanted to cruise the Scioto ever since moving to this side of town but obviously a boat is a big investment. I saw a small sign near the entrance to Griggs advertising boat cruises with Captain Nancy. It was very easy to book with lots of times available. I thought the rates were very reasonable for a 1 hour or 1.5 hour cruise. She charges by the passenger, which makes sense -- more bodies in the boat = more fuel. Captain Nancy confirmed my booking by text almost immediately and provided detailed instructions to find her boat. She arrived on time and was very patient and thorough giving instructions, including "what to do if something happens." Life jackets were optional. The cruise was a mix of a slow scenic tour, observing the houses and wildlife along the river, and a faster-paced thrill ride. Captain Nancy knew just enough little factoids about the river and the local area to keep it fun, but didn't go overboard (ha ha). She played some music for us through her phone, which was optional and she offered to let us pick the tunes. This was a really fun and different experience! I will definitely be back!!

We had a fantastic time with Nancy today. She was very knowledgeable on the area and local wildlife and was a joy throughout the tour, making it fun for both my kids and me. Would absolutely recommend.

My family and I had a great boat trip on the Scioto today! Nancy, our driver, was great. She was fun and entertaining. A great driver and host! Kids loved speeding down the river. We loved the views and wildlife. Highly recommend this trip!
