Can't Believe It's Vegan

Vegan/vegetarian food has come a long way in the last 30-40 years. Cooking at home or eating out, there are so many more great options. I'm neither, but will gladly eat at a really good vegan place.Stripmall, plenty of parking. Bright and welcoming inside. I arrived around 1 on a Sunday and was told they were between menus and to come back in 15 minutes. Odd, no signage or brunch menus around, but it was a beautiful day so I walked somewhere nearby and came back. Service was great, though minimal (order at counter and they bring it out.) Interesting menu, and everyone seems to love the cheesesteak, but I wasn't feeling it and got the Buddha bowl. Rice, corn, beans, avocado, tomatoes, bbq jackfruit.Came out looking great. Big serving, fresh ingredients, a great blend of flavors and textures. Plus a big side of crispy, lightly seasoned fries that I didn't expect. I enjoyed it all, and left fill with some fries still in the tray. A little expensive, but big portion and great quality. Healthy, tasty, filling, and a pleasant atmosphere to eat in.

Okay so the person that made this place so special for us ... was THE CHEF. Talk about a gentleman who knows quality service inside and out ! We are socal residents and surrounded by hundreds of amazing vegan restaurants and this place is on par with the best vegan restaurants in Orange County. Hands down the best in the state we've tried here. Food was amazing , we absolutely loved the phillycheese steak sandwich (fav) and the BLT , spicy sausage pasta and wings were also perfectly crafted and delicious. We ordered everything we wanted and barely could make a dent in it; portions were very generous. It's our honeymoon and chef hooked up with banana nut and crunchy cinnamon cakes and drinks just to support our special day. A comfortable family atmosphere and beautiful people make this place a TRUE 5 star rated vegan restaurant. Cute little place in a strip. It's very clean and bright itself. We were so overwhelmed having a place where EVERYTHING is vegan on the menu that we took a while to pick. He ended up getting the buffalo ch'cken sandwich with fries ($18) while I had a chickpea alfredo pasta with dinner roll ($17). Menu was large and easy to read on the wall. They even had some specials going on. The cashier gave us free samples of their soup of the day. It was good so he also got a small bowl of it (think they said avocado bean soup) that came with cornbread ($9). Pretty much everything is made in house. There was a cooler with drinks and desserts, but we just had glasses of water from the dispenser (free). Plenty of seating. Bathrooms are single person ones with a cute sign I wish I took a pic of, it had images for handicap, male, female, nonbinary, and alien with a caption of "whatever, just please wash your hands". They had hygiene products and lotion in the bathroom too. The chef came out routinely or worked the register, very friendly and chatted. Reusable silverware and dishes. Portions were generous so we were way too full for the delicious sounding desserts. His buffalo burger was spicy just as he likes and was very thick. My pasta was way heavier garlic than I like, but it was still good and now know. If you love garlic then try their pasta. The take home box I got was cardboard so love the sustainability. Only weird part of the restaurant was that the plants were fake, forgot to ask why not real? We plan on going back. It was maybe 15 minutes from the polaris mall so we'll be back sooner than later. So exciting to find a fully vegan restaurant nearby with reasonable prices and good portions.

Food is incredible!! I had the daily special "cheesesteak hoagie". I haven't had one in 15 years since going the vegetarian route. I was leery of the cheese and almost didn't get it but I did and it was awesome! My friend had the Buddha Bowl with the jackfruit and it was so good too! French fries are crinkle cut and seasoned so well. Columbus has another great vegan restaurant to choose from. Right off the highway on Schrock Road.

Returned two weeks later: Craved that cheesesteak sandwich for 14 days straight after devouring it on my first visit. Let me tell you, It was even better than I remembered!!!We returned on my birthday. My husband said I could go anywhere for a meal that day (cost was not an option). I looked at him without batting an eye and said "oooooh. I want that cheesesteak. Can we go to "I cant Believe Its Vegan"... they only have this on the weekends". My husband, who is a carnivore, looked at me like "seriously? In hindsight, he was probably never so happy to be forced eat vegan as I when he has given me that option in the past I quickly book at places like Chapmans, Agni... boogie/pricey. Nope. Today I wanted a 18 combo plate of that Vegan Cheesesteak! He ordered the Caesar "no chick" chicken salad. He devoured it. This time I shared my sandwich which he literally said "wow, Thats vegan, It tastes real". Cue my "I know, right" face. He is now a believer and wants to come back for the pasta. This time in we got to meet Clayton, the owner. He is also the chef and let me tell you his soul lights up the room with positivity and friendliness. We enjoyed talking to him about his vegan journey. He gave us samples of their mac n cheese which is rich and creamy, a little smokey, yet no dairy at all. He also gave us a sample of his greens. Oooooh, I tell you.... I might need to order a lot of that! So good! For my birthday, he gave me the most wonderful vegan blueberry bar that he baked with his hands. Delish! Thank you, but the greatest gift is this restaurant, which he shares with all of Columbus. So, if you are curious about vegan food this is the BEST place to go as they have honed their craft and I can seriously say there is something here that will appeal to everyone. If you are vegan or vegetarian. What are you waiting for? Its worth the drive. This is a hidden gem!!! Just please dont come on Wednesday- They are closed that day.

Let's see so I was in the area and this place popped up so I decided to check it out. Usually when I go in to a restaurant and I see no one inside I run! However, I decided stay and order. I'm glad I did. I ordered the burrito bowl and it was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised at the presentation and how well the food taste. My bowl also came with seasoned fries. They were also pretty good. The guy that worked there was friendly and he talked me through the menu. He also offered me a sample of a rice & mushroom soup. It was ok but not my fav.However I appreciated the gesture! Finally the place had a cool little set up inside with some deserts and local products. I would go back if I was in the area.

We were here for a visit back in early February. My husband and I enjoy eating more vegan foods. However our children are a hit or miss. Yet, our 3 children all loved it. The chef was very warm. His sister came in and she was also very kind. The young guy who took our orders stayed on top of making sure we had all that we needed. Top notch customer service. The food was beyond amazing. I personally had to try everyone's food. Everything was good. I ended up only tasting my own and ate the rest the next day. I'm just sad that I couldn't bring this restaurant back home with me with it being 6 hours away. The chef even gave our children especially our 13 year daughter wonderful words of wisdom. He gave that uncle vibe indeed. Whenever we come back in town I definitely will look forward to enjoying at least a meal or more while in town.

Great food & excellent service! We enjoyed both our dishes. Owner spent some time talking with us too. Will return!

This place is absolutely amazing. The owner was so helpful with helping me pick my meal with a soy sensitivity. We ordered BBQ jackfruit and the BLT. The BBQ jackfruit was good, with light flavors that complimented each other. The BLT had crispy bacon, delicious sauce, and toasted to perfection. I can't wait to go back for the BLT. Our sides were the Mac and cheese and side salad with house dressing. Both were so good and I would have a hard picking between them. The place was very clean and the bathrooms had stunning tile work. Overall it's perfect with amazing food that is good for you!

The ambiance was great, the food was better! We were visiting from out of town and did a search for Vegan restaurants. Can't Believe It's Vegan was at the top of the list with a 5-star review. I will DEFINITELY be returning on my next visit to Columbus! A bonus for me is that the bathrooms are clean and roomy. The service was excellent too
