Candy Cottage

I've been here multiple times - really nice candy store with homemade treats and a large selection of baking supplies. Great for Easter and Christmas gifts. Also love the roasted nuts (no joke). The owner is super nice.

Atmosphere is cute and perfect! Workers are nice and pleasant. Such delicious and creative treats to choose from!

I have been wanting to visit this little shop for awhile now, but have never been able to. This trip, I made the time. When you first walk in, it smells incredible. They sell candy making supplies and some candy that they have created themselves. I bought several little Easter, chocolate lollipops, a milk chocolate caramel pretzel, white crunch, a chocolate covered caramel egg and a chocolate chip cookie. The chocolate by itself is ok. I've had better. The egg, they should have used a different caramel because it was almost to solid to bite into. The cookie was ok. The white crunch and the pretzel were amazing though. I'd go back just to stock up on those. The lady at the register was super friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. I will definitely try making a stop here when I'm visiting Lancaster. It was worth the stop.

One of the stops on the Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail makes its way into Fairfield County. With Buckeyes that are indulged in around the world (including The United States Congress), it's no wonder Candy Cottage is included in the trail. Fresh roasted nuts and handmade chocolates are made in small batches to preserve freshness and quality. More than just sweets to purchase, this store also serves as a place for classes, gift baskets, items for weddings and baby showers and a HUGE amount of candy supplies for your candy making needs. Honestly though, with homemade candy made here, why waste time trying to beat perfection. The first thing we heard after we walked in the door was someone clamoring over all the turtles they had. She bought every one that was on the shelf. With an endorsement like that, I knew we were in the right place. We left with a box of every cream they carried - raspberry, strawberry, maple and more. Give me a good cream, and I'm a happy girl. I left room in the box for Kevin to pick a few favorites, so he added some Buckeyes, various chocolate covered nuts and salted caramels.

This is my go-to cake supply store. I love that they are always helpful and always willing to help search for things that we need. The owner and her wonderful employees have made this business grow and it is exciting to see all the new changes that are happening. My little one loves to go in to get chocolates. It's just the coolest place to her.

Very clean store. Not a huge selection but they always have cute things for various holidays. Everything I've ever eaten from there has been AMAZING! Great way to treat yourself or a loved one.
