Cake Walk Bakery & Indian Cafe

Been to this place few times and every time I go back the service keeps going down the hill. The last 2 times we went were pretty bad. One time we went in to place an order and there was an older guy who was standing at the counter. Instead of him greeting us, we greeted him. We asked for the menu and was trying to place an order. He did not care if we placed the order or not. He was too busy looking at the TV where Indian music video's were playing. My husband started getting pissed of with the guys attitude and we ended up walking out the door. But I really wanted their street food, especially the Paapdi chaat. I had it before from Cake Walk, and I remember it was really good. So the last time we visited them rather then going in to order, we ordered online. After 20 minutes we went inside the restaurant to pick up our food but lady at the counter told us that she could not find our order. We had to show the confirmation on our phone that we did place an order. Then she told us that they no longer made paadi chaat, which we ordered online. But anyway, we had to wait another 15 minute or so for our food. Again, this time around we greeted them vs us being greeted. There was a women and a younger guy this time around but they were to busy on their phone. Last two times we went the place was just empty. The only reason I gave this place a 3 is because of the food. I actually like their food. We had butter chicken, Naan, Puri Bhaji, Aloo Chaat, Samosa Chaat and Doi puri. Everything was good. Good food but terrible service!!!

Another delicious meal at Cake Walk. My fourth time here and will return. The masala dosa was spicy and fresh. The medhu vada was fresh but not too greasy as at lesser restaurants. While the savory dishes were brilliant, the mango cake was perfectly delicate, fresh, and just the right level of sweetness. I've never had better. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional.

Friendly service and delicious moist cake in many flavors. We tried pineapple cake and butterscotch cake. Both flavors were superb!

They are no longer selling the best items on their menu, which in my opinion are the Indian street food chaats. They had the best paapdi chaat. No idea when they will start selling the chaats again. Recently ordered a mango mousse cake from here and felt that it was much sweeter than the previous ones I have had here. Not sure if they changed their recipe, but hope they go back to it, because one of the reasons for buying the cake is due to it being lighter than the buttercream cakes at other shops.

Been here twice when we visited Columbus .. Both the times I only picked the cakes.. Cakes were really fantabulous, so moist with fresh cream.. I have tasted their Mango Cake and Black Forest flavors, they are the best.. Mango cake was terrific, best I have ever tasted .. The cafe is not too big, it's a good place for a quick bite .. They have indian street food and pastries .. I have also heard that their tea tastes really good .. Moderate pricing and a clean place ..

Cake Walk is a trip. Is it an Indian eatery? A cake bakery?The answer is both. Delicious, fresh and light n fluffy cakes are available here by the slice or whole cake.And, then there's the best paneer butter masala I have ever tasted. And I've tasted a lot! Plus they give you two of the yummiest light, flaky and chewy parathas (fried tortilla-like bread). Yum! If you'd like rice, however, gotta ask for it. It's takeout only for now, but soon they will be allowing dine-in again. I've heard the wraps are great, but once I tried that butter masala, I was hooked.

This is our go to restaurant whenever we are tired to cook or crave indian food. Everything is fresh and tasty. We ordered tons of food everytime we order here. I love their south India options and I always order coffee here. It is the best indian coffee's I have ever tasted. They quality is always great. I have never been disappointed so far. Their indian puff, snacks and pastries are always a treat.

Food taste amazing and authentic and they are very friendly. Went there twice and was not disappointed at all. So I've decided to visit this place more often now. Mango cake is a bomb. Samosa is amazing. Plus the place is clean. Enjoying some cake or Samosa with coffee or Tea is the best. Music is also authentic Indian song, and it is not played overwhelmingly loud.

We ordered Naan and Paneer Butter Masala, Paav Bhaji and Vada Paav. Curry was watery with barely any paneer pieces. The bread was stale and slightly burnt. The naan was hard to chew (according to my kids) and the Vada Paav- I would rather not say. I created a Yelp account so that I can share my experience. The price do not reflect the quality of the food. For a fast food take-out place, the default tip was 18%.

Worst experience ever.They are selling frozen nan n telling customer that its freshly made.I ordered garlic naan from them with my food. When i opened the packet, it was exactly looking like frozen naan which you get in any indina grocery store.I called them, lady told me that they prepared it in restaurant but when i talked to other guy. He told me that they dont have clay oven so they get naans from other store. There is no other calk walk in 50 miles radius. How they can get from other store.We pay to the restaurant for fresh cooked food. Not for frozen food.Be careful with these scammer. Very disappointed
