Marissa M. "So during Comfest each year I rent a keg. Central Beverage group is where I get it. Located close to my home, and having good selection to choose from makes CBS my keg rental place of choice.CBS offers everything from domestic to limited import.( Molson counts as an import right?) I am appreciative of the fact that I can rent an entire keg of Blue Moon here. They also carry Magic Hat Brand which is a close second in my preferred beers of Comfest. I like CBS because I am forgetful and they offer tap, trash can rental and even ice as well. The guys here are nice and will never hesitate to help me load the keg as I am not as strong as I look. If they would only offer a service of unloading the keg and carrying it up two flights of stairs, I would pay extra, but they don't. I have asked.Good selection, strong lifters and reasonable prices will keep me going back to CBS every year."

Jennifer G. "When I saw the sign that their wines were available "on tap" for tasting I was intrigued because I had never heard of such a thing before. We were warmly greeted upon entering and told about their tasting process. I was surprised to learn that in Ohio apparently it is illegal to give free wine samples so they have to charge. Here it is 50 cents per sample and they also had a "package" that offered tastings with a cute mini wine glass. We opted for the second because we thought we might drink wine when we got back to our hotel since everything in the area closes so early.I tried two of their dry reds, some sweet, a fruit wine and their wine slushie. We were told a little bit about each wine when they were brought over. It was interesting to see them being poured out of the tap instead of going to a wine fridge.I really enjoyed all that I sampled. Aside from the sampling bar, the space has some tables for those that choose go buy a glass, bottle or slushie and enjoy it on sight. I really enjoyed our experience here and would definitely come back next time I'm in the area."

They provided a whole complimentary snack spread as well as the tasting. And it was a serve yourself spread! Which means, you could keep going back for more....count me in! I love snacks! They had dips and crackers, meats, cheeses and they were all delicious. The service was outstanding!!They have most of the snacks available for purchase to take home. They also have a really nice gift shop with tons of stuff in it. I got two bracelets that I still wear to this day. I look forward to visiting again."

Jennica S. "So I'm going to keep this as short and sweet as I can: the wine selection is big for a small place and they are all pretty wonderful, as shown by the awards hanging on the bottles behind the bar. You can see the vineyards on the property. But if you're a frequent winery visitor, don't picture this is an actual winery. It is literally a little wooden booth of sorts set up next to the checkin desk at the Guggisberg Swiss Inn. The reservation women will come let you sample and buy when they're not taking reservations or checking folks in. There are not, per se, tables to sit and be served at. You buy a bottle, grab your glasses, and take it all outside to enjoy at one of their many swings or picnic tables and hope the horses are roaming the property nearby for you to pet and marvel. Don't get me wrong, this is amazing. Wine and horse grazing, what could be better?! We stayed here last year for a weekend and now we visit for a drink and hopes of visiting the horses every time we come to Amish country. But when you know of other local wineries like Breitenbach, just don't have those winery expectations of the size and scale. This is about as opposite of that as it gets. They were also out of their blush, which is my favorite, on this visit. I heard another customer complain, "how can a winery be out of wine?!" Again, think small scale. You will not be let down by the quality and scenery though, trust me."

It's small, quaint and cute. I tried 5 dry wines and they were all fantastic. The LaCrescent and Marquette were my favorite. The wines were all good.Pete the owner offered a tour of the place. We took him up on his offer. The grounds are amazing. The handmade bridge that Pete had build in the woods is absolutely incredible. They have an event center in the woods. This you will miss and think it's only a winery in the woods. Really loved this place. Pete said he purchased the property in the 1980's with intention of using it for off road racing. His wife said this would make a nice vineyard. They started to grow grapes but after realizing there was not much money in selling the grapes for all of the hard work that goes into that. That's when they decide to open a winery. They have been opened for 7 years. He said "A Happy Wife a Happy Life " well said..Will visit again and recommend anyone else to do the same. The owners were the best."

Finally , I told my mom to go outside and grab a spot to sit if she could. She did! I finally got up to the bar and ordered a bottle of Cab, (was not going to stand in that line again) lol. Wine was very good. We talked to the manager, who was very nice and was seen helping out with all the servers. Cleaning table, taking food out. I will say all the servers/bartenders did an amazing job. They all kept their humor and had a great time. They will need to put heaters outside, to provide more sitting area in the cooler months."

Dylan had wanted to show me how beautiful this place has become and also wanted me to meet Matt. Im certainly glad I did! Matt spent some time with us and let us explore the property. Matt is great! Retreat21 is lucky to have him as we found the landscaping to be wonderful. From the patios, to the right amount of gravel on the road, to their gorgeous, landscaped pond and event center and OH! can we mention how they incorporated a 100+ old oak to serve as an altar in their woodland sanctuary. Perfection!!! There is a large guest cabin that can be rented, plus seven other ones and a handful of geodomes. Each cabin has a private hot tub and fire pit. The geodomes just have a fire pit. At the front of the property is a large barn that has been converted to a tasting room. They have several house made craft wines and ciders. You can take those out to enjoy on one of three nice sized patios... one has hanging swings! They serve charcuterie, boards, and flatbreads... I'm on the weekends. They have food trucks. They also have yoga on the weekends that you can do in their vineyard -pretty cool along with other events This is a great addition to the Columbus area and Marysville. Ryan was behind the bar as usual doing his usual great job. We truly appreciate his professionalism and friendliness as we do with Sean and the remainder of the staff. You can't beat the people here as you can't beat the food! We open with a starter of the oysters, Rockefeller. A slight twist on the standard, the Sambuca does stand out. That said, they were still pretty darn good! My wife decided on their Caesar salad and a cheese course that was on their bar happy hour menu. My mom decided on the crabcakes while our friend and I both went with the steak and frites. I thought the steak and frights were terrific! Superbly cooked with a wonderful presentation. The crabcakes seemed to have a little bit more filler than what we would normally like. That said, overall taste, and the presentation were very good. Jeffrey S. "I had to provide an updated review on the winery. We last came here when it was 3 years ago and in Dover near the city limits. The new owners purchased the business and moved it out to the country. They built a new winery location to handle the place. When we arrived, we were greeted by lots of women on a family reunion trip. Me being TALL always gets other's attention, then they seen our Wine shirts that said "Wine Tasting Team", then they recognized my wife's wine tattoo. It was a lot to handle then the owners laughed and moved us to the VIP drinking area.We had the opportunity to try dry to sweet wines. I enjoyed the red dry wines. Now I'm not a sweet drinker but they had some really good sweet wines. They had a watermelon one that had jalapeño towards the end, incredible. The best was the Carmel Apple, they said they made 29 gallons of it bottled and that they had just released it the day that we arrived and sold 4 cases of it. We tried it and it was incredible and purchased a few bottles for our Halloween party in October. After we left , we read that they already sold 15 cases of that wine. That was a popular wine for sure. They had a food truck when we were there. Nice area to sit inside or outdoors. Overall great place, location, look forward to stopping the next time we are in the area."

It was a passable white table wine, but it's not really a Pinot Grigio in color, aroma, or flavor. Later, I ordered a peach wine slushie that was fun and sweet and yummy. We also had a cheese pizza with regular crust that was very tasty and a soft pretzel with beer cheese. The cheese tasted like sauce for macaroni and cheese; it wasn't my favorite but we ate it. We sat outside and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Our server was nice and attentive without being overbearing. Jeffrey S. "The first time that we came here was right when this place opened up in 2018 and the top part was opened and we showed up right before closing, so we never really experienced a full part of the winery. We showed up here at opening on a Saturday at 11 AM. We started off by trying the wines that we liked. It was $1 per wine taste or do a flight, but I tried 1:55 White, which was dryer than the chardonnay which is the only estate wine and it was crisp but tasted a little buttery making me think it's aged in a barrel. Loved the Rose 1:55, nice and dry but a good taste. The woman told us it's her favorite and her husband prefers the 4:04 Rose a semi-dry, Loved the 1:55 Red and 4:04 Red, In which I purchased a bottle of the 4:04 or two or three, who knows. :) The lady told me if I wanted to go in and check out the production floor to please do so. I just went to the door and took a few photos. Being a novice wine maker, I'm always interested in checking out what others are doing in the wine business. As I'm in the early stages of the wine making process, one day.We enjoyed a cheese tray, I had a glass of the 4:04 and Chardonnay, along with my wife drinking her wine. We enjoyed company from the local chickens that we fed food to, not sure if we were supposed to but they were cute company. It was calm and quiet when we were there. This is a very well run winery, take it from someone who has been to close to 50 throughout Ohio alone. The staff is kind and will happily offer you some wonderful ciders or beer on tap, or assist you in selecting some wines that might hit the spot. Things that make this winery great include: awesome staff, tons of drink options, snacks available for purchase, table games onsite, and live music, events, and local food truck options scheduled on a regular basis. It's also nice that they have an area set up with cold and refreshing water as you cap off your night.About the space: There's a large open area with ample seating and a centrally located soft seating space around the fireplace. On the wall opposite of the front door there is a large projector screen (where I watched the Michigan game). There's also a back room... and you can check out the tanks to the side where the action happens. (The first time I checked out this winery, there was a bridal shower setting up in the back room, so it's nice to have a space to celebrate with your friends). Opposite of the fireplace is the bar area where you can order tastings. There's also two well equipped single restrooms and a smaller tasting room where the business first began.I had a cider flight, then selected one I liked best for my drink. I really think they are shooting themselves in the foot by mislabeling their business. We went in thinking it was a winery. (As labeled) It's not. It's a meadery. Two different things. ALL of their wines are made with honey. Meads are not everyone's cup of tea, so to speak. And personally, being so close to a college, I would consider adding some more straight forward wines. this location boarders one of the poorest counties in Ohio.....just not sure this is the right spot for such a niche business. My husband has been a wine maker since 07 and this was our 91st individual winery to visit. So I'm kind of talking from experience. And it's usually my experience that after doing a tasting, we get a bottle or 3 to take home. In this case, we just went home.
