"We had a great experience doing a wine tasting here. Samples are a quarter each and there's basically no limit. They are small. Enough to get an idea of the taste without really having to be invested in the selections you are making. You can try just about all of the wines. The only problem was, I just didn't care much for the wines. You also aren't allowed to eat in the tasting area. I get that it would probably be messy, since they aren't really cleaning the tables between guests. But it gets hard to distinguish all those flavors when you can't cleanse your palette. I'm not sure if that is the reason I didn't like the wines or not. They also have a lot of wine-related gifts and snacks you can buy."
"We were visiting our son at Muskingum University and stopped for dinner. The first thing we noticed was the view--just amazing! Happy hour is from 4-6 and we took advantage of this! We found seats overlooking the vineyard and put in our order. The pizzas were delicious, made to order in the stone oven. Half price appetizers were perfect--housemade chips with Parmesan were some of the best we have had. Adult slushies were great! Selections of beverages were wide for everyone. My husband is a beer connoisseur, and he found one he liked. The view, the people, the food, the drinks: We will definitely be back and recommend you try it out! (Just don't tell TOO many people wink wink)"
"This was the first stop on our girls weekend in Ohio! (two from Ann Arbor and one from Columbus - this is our 1/2 way point)We tried the flight tastings for $6 - tasting of 5 wines. While two were way too dry, one was okay and the other two were just right and went home with us. And there are five local drafts for the non-wine drinker. - no flight of that just yet.The pulled pork flatbread with the slaw on top was wonderful! the cheese plate with cheese, fruit and dark chocolate chips, but the topper was the jalapeno jam. Oh, sweet little baby Jesus toes! That was so freaking delicious! I can't wait for them to be able to sell that jam!I will return!"

Got some samples inside for 50 cents each. What a deal!! Then went outside and listened to some live music. Split a bottle of white wine for $13. And got two small pizzas for $9/$10 each. Great day to be out in sunny Ohio!

We randomly chose this place while stopped for the night during a road trip from New Jersey to Chicago. What a treat. Live music, stunning views of the local hills & communities, no wait on a summer Friday evening, fresh cooked pepperoni pizza and mac & cheese for the kids, and local beer and wine for us grownups (try the Blood Orange Wheat beer, you won't regret it), all reasonably priced. My husband had the wings and fries, he said they were good and crispy. The terrace/seating area is big and is right next to the grapevines, which was great for my youngest, who got to run around a bit (after being warned not to pick any grapes, lol). Thanks Georgetown Tavern, we'll be back if we are in the area again!

I haven't been here in quite awhile. My daughter and me stopped in yesterday because my daughter had never been there. I ordered a FBC Fort Findlay Stout and she ordered a flight of the dry whites. We ordered an appetizer, the jalapeño jelly, club crackers and cream cheese. It was outstanding as always. We both ordered a flat bread, she ordered the Don't go bacon my heart, which was a breakfast flatbread with eggs, bacon, ham and cheese. I ordered the Findlay Cuban which was great! I have never had a bad visit to Gillig's, the food, drinks and service are always perfect. Keep up the great things that you guys are doing!

A cute, very nice, well decorated space in the heart of downtown. I was impressed with the inside and how beautiful the decor was. When I went, there was a band playing. It was packed!!!!! Every seat in the house was full. It was fun, but I'd like to come back when I could sit and relax. The staff was very nice. They don't allow tastings when bands play apparently, which was a little disappointing. The lady behind the bar let me taste two wines and helped me with my final selection..so it was ok. I would recommend stopping in for a glass or two!!!

"I had to provide an updated review on the winery. We last came here when it was 3 years ago and in Dover near the city limits. The new owners purchased the business and moved it out to the country. They built a new winery location to handle the place. When we arrived, we were greeted by lots of women on a family reunion trip. Me being TALL always gets other's attention, then they seen our Wine shirts that said "Wine Tasting Team", then they recognized my wife's wine tattoo. It was a lot to handle then the owners laughed and moved us to the VIP drinking area.We had the opportunity to try dry to sweet wines. I enjoyed the red dry wines. Now I'm not a sweet drinker but they had some really good sweet wines. They had a watermelon one that had jalapeño towards the end, incredible. The best was the Carmel Apple, they said they made 29 gallons of it bottled and that they had just released it the day that we arrived and sold 4 cases of it. We tried it and it was incredible and purchased a few bottles for our Halloween party in October. After we left , we read that they already sold 15 cases of that wine. That was a popular wine for sure. They had a food truck when we were there. Nice area to sit inside or outdoors. Overall great place, location, look forward to stopping the next time we are in the area."
