"Small cute place for a quick bite to eat for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised on how tasty the sushi rolls were and the staff were very friendly. I plan to visit again since it's close to work!"

"Weekend Lunch ReviewQuiet, tasty, but show... would go to again when in the area.Pan fried Pork Dumplings - nice thin dough, not commercial with an interesting sauce that was not the standard soy & sesame mix.Pecan Chicken - thin breading, super moist chicken with a nice sprinkle of candied pecans. Hunan Chicken - Crunchy veggies, moist chicken, moderate sauce... not too salty and not too spicyBoth lunch portions were just the right size... and any item on the menu (except the most expensive specialties) can be turned into a lunch portion!"
"Love this place!! Excellent food and service! The sushi is incredibly fresh. Even our toddlers love this place."
"Food, service and ambiance are all 5 stars. We ordered one of the sushi boats and the sushi deluxe. Everything was very very good and tasted very clean. The wait staff was quick to clean the table off as well which made the experience nice. They changed the channel for us so we could watch football as well on Sunday night. Highly recommend as we live down the street and can always walk here. Glad we made it out and we will definitely be back!"
"My husband and I frequent this place a lot. I am an absolute fan of their sushi lunch combo. You get the option of two or three rolls plus soup at a very reasonable price. This place is worth checking out if you're craving sushi. Although it's not "omg" level, it is still pretty tasty. We first discovered it during COVID times, and their dining room was closed, so we've only ever had it as take out. I think they finally opened up their dining room though."
"If you want quick Asian food this is the place ! not like your home cook family meals but close enough.Food court style ,service was fast , large portion , love the boba . Since I moved here for a travel assignment this has been my go to after work."
"I recommend this place for anyone who loves Sushi. The service is excellent, the sushi is spectacular and you can eat in or go out. The dining area doesn't have much ambience but it doesn't matter because the food is so good! It is family friendly; there is plenty of parking and if you want to grab a bite to eat before or after shopping there is. Fresh Thyme market right next door. I love it here. It's busy. I got here a little after 6 and it was packed."
"Unlimited parking. Japanese Steakhouses all have a similar form and menu. The ambiance here is understated. The biggest difference and a plus was the lack of the giant, noisy exhaust hoods over the flat cooking surface. The chef did the normal routine of skilled food manipulation and flames. He did try twice to throw rice from the spatula into my mouth, unsuccessfully. He did hit my head each time and it was all in fun. I had chicken and scallops with fried rice. Everything was plentiful, tasty, and stove hot. The meal started with a clear soup, and a salad. The scallops had an egg yoke sauce option which I accepted. They have a full bar and specialty drinks. The staff generally spoke better English than many similar restaurants. If you have someone who's never been to a Japanese Steakhouse, especially kids, this is a satisfying introduction. Nothing extraordinary but clean, well staffed, good quantities of freshly prepared foods in front of you with skill and levity."
"Humanity has finally evolved to the point of sushi burritos and we Sushiyo to thank. Overall very fresh and flavorful smoked salmon burrito that had all the hallmarks of great sushi and more. Lots of veggies crammed in there in a way you don't get with a regular sushi roll. It was phenomenal I'll get it anytime I'm at the mall now."
"None of the food we ordered was particularly flavorful. We got the sweet & sour chicken & general Tso's. The sweet and sour sauce was super liquidity and not sweet at all. The chicken was heavily battered, but the meat was good and cooked well. All and all not bad, but lacking flavor. The general tso's was okay, but again not a lot of flavor. I will try this place again because nothing was bad, but would try something else."
"We ate here twice this weekend and will definitely be back. Sushi and wings are great and the portion size is over the top in their Hibachi meals. Definitely will have to take a doggie box to go. Prices are very reasonable."

I had been to the other location, and heard about this one, but usually I'm not very close by. Today I was, and needed lunch. It is in a tiny, non-descript strip mall. It's pretty small inside the shop as well, but nicer than the outside. Dine in or carry out. Sushi, ramen, assorted other Japanese snacks and entrées. It was a very cold day and sushi just didn't seem appropriate. So I got Spam musubi, which was huge and tasty. And a bulgogi bento box, which was chock full of very good, tender bulgogi, Korean fried chicken, veggies, eggs, and rice. The perfect amount of food. They have mini and large versions of the bento boxes too. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. A good quick lunch. The ramen selection is interesting, although I don't quite get the pull of something I ate too much of in college and could easily make at home. But it is probably an even cheaper, quicker lunch for some folks. Several hot water machines along the wall to make it yourself.

Yummy food. Server was working very hard and doing a great job dealing with lots of tables. Small restaurant and it filled up quickly on a week night. Glad we gave this place a try. I'd come back again.

Quite possibly the best sushi I've ever had! We love this place. It's nice for a date night with your spouse but not too nice to not take the kids. Service has always been quick and courteous.

First time at this location. I met some ladies for book club and we had a nice table (2 put together). Our server was very accommodating and efficient.I started with their blueberry martini (delicious) and had a glass of Riesling with my dinner, the Salmon Teriyaki. The salmon was perfect and tasty, with the stir fry vegs and rice on the side. I do want to return for some sushi, and the Stone Pot Bibimbop that two ladies got looked amazing.

First time here, the crab Rangoon is really good. The shrimp fried rice is a HUGE flavorless portion.....UGH!! Staff didn't really seem to care if people were there or not. Oh well.

I was excited to try this place, as I've heard good things! It's slightly pricey, but the lunch menu is pretty good. We got the three sushi combo with California roll, spicy tuna, and salmon roll. It was pretty good, fairly plain tasting. The green tea was the same, kind of bland. And the fried dumplings were great! Highly recommend the dumplings. The server never came back after giving us our food. Another server came over with the check, so that was weird. I would say I was underwhelmed with the service but would like to try their food again. Oh, and the salad was gross. Iceberg with a dressing that didn't even look appetizing. It was chunky.

"Best sushi I have ever had. Fresh fresh fresh!! We got sushi boat and it did not disappoint. Service was awesome with a smile and a nice perk of banana sushi at end. Cozy place. Would not have guessed from outside would be this gooooood!"
"8 yrs later, this is still my favorite restaurant in the Akron area. Food hasnt changed. On our 2nd week into our recent vacation in Ireland, the only thing I wanted to eat was Sushi Asia Gourmet's Beef with Onion and Cumin . . ."
"Im usually not a sushi person in land locked states. With that being said. I was driving home and stayed the night in this cute town. Kiyomi was a block from where I was staying and it was late, they were open. I ended up trying 5 different rolls. They did not disappoint. Honestly, this was some good sushi and who knew in the middle of OH of all places.Sushi - 4 out of 5Edamame - 4 out of 5Service was a 4 out of 5The place is very clean. I would absolutely go back."
"Everything is always so good here! Love the staff! Legit best espresso martinis in the city! Fun ambiance, but not too loud."
"We previously skipped this restaurant because we thought the sushi would be too expensive based on the things I've read. However, we finally gave in to came to celebrate a special occasion... and we'll be back! To our surprise, everything we ordered was reasonably priced. The sushi was fresh, delicious, and creative. It was plentiful, as well, because we ordered 4 rolls and shared 2 of them. The cocktail (coconut lime) was refreshing. Additionally, the ambiance is chic and inviting, and our waiter was attentive. A down side, but not a major flaw, was that they ran out of an uni appetizer & particular dessert, and the soy sauce pot was chipped (so it looked a bit janky on the table). When you come here, be sure to make a reservation, because even on a Sunday the restaurant was pleasantly full. On a side note, we originally chose to sit "outside", but got a text beforehand asking if we would like to change our minds because of the heat wave - love that!"
"Decent sushi. The meal off the hibachi grill was pretty average as Japanese Steak House fare goes. Not disappointed not wowed. The presentation/personality of the cook was way low key. I kinda expect that cook to be totally entertaining and high energy. Again the food was fine. We felt a little crowded at the table too. Would have waited for the next table to be sat and be less crowded."
"Fast and outstanding customer service. Lucky seven and vegetable fried rice was delicious. Would recommend you try it out."
"This place is awesome. Delicious. I ordered the Chicken Entree. It includes the chicken, fried rice, vegetables, and sauce. All excellent. Great service."
"I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The menu selection was great. The prices were good. I ordered the lunch 3 sushi rolls. I'm picky about my sushi and it was really good! The "yummy" sauce had a good flavor, better than most places as I don't typically care for yum yum sauce. My only complaint would be that you have to pay .50 for a small container of sauce when most places offer it free.My daughter got hibachi chicken. She liked the sauce on the chicken but said the chicken had a lot of skin/fat on it which she's not a fan of. She said the fried rice had no flavor, tasted like oil. But it was good after being covered in yum yum sauce. The service was very friendly, but a little slow. Food for the entire restaurant was all brought out at different times. It would have been nice to have my soup first and the entree's together. But maybe they'll get that ironed out."
"We enjoy eating here!!! It's right on the square in Medina!!! Our food is always excellent! And of course, we love Dino!!!! He's the manager and he always takes good care of us!!! We love the spicy shrimp salad, the pot stickers, egg rolls and chicken wraps!!! Great appetizers!!! We also love the Peach Schnapps chicken with crunchy rice!!! Yummy!!! My date likes house Chou Fun noodles!!! One of my favorite places!!!!"
"The food was awesome. There were many choices. Everyone in our group was pleased with the food. The location was fine. They bring a selection of appetizers with the meal. It's great for browsing small bites, the kimchi was on point and all the others a nice bit of nibbles. This is certainly one of best Korean restaurants in Columbus."
"Update! Got the Laksa. I literally stumbled on a Bourdain YouTube vid of him in Malaysia eating "laksa" at a street restaurant. One day later I'm in Kent and there is a Japanese/Malay place that I've eaten at before, and loved. This place. And they had laksa on the menu. Asked the waitress which should I get, the Miso Ramen or the Laksa. She said get the Laksa. It was delicious! Had the square wheat noodles, perfectly cooked, great texture and bite. The broth was a fish stock, deep brown, wonderful flavor, and along with the noodles, a few shrimp. Some thinly sliced red onion. Bean sprouts. Cilantro. Few other things, broth not hot, but spicy in a rich delicious way. Wife got a couple spring rolls and a salad with the ginger dressing. She loves that orange ginger dressing you find in some Asian places. We even bought a small container to go. $3! Gave the waitress a good tip for the GREAT tip on the Laksa. Ate every bit, except for all the broth. Wife had some too. She liked it, but is more a Korean Shin Ramen type person. (Oh, and quartered hard boiled egg in it too )I loved it. Kent is a great place to just wander, grab a bite or a meal, admire their predilection for squirrels (yes, squirrels) and grab a beer at one of the cool bars. Give stars for the restaurant. And four stars for Kent!"
"We LOVE eating at Ichiban! We ate inside with lovely decor. I've also ordered carry out and it's great. The service was really amazing and efficient. Great ambiance inside. Great portions for the money you pay. We were so full and then some. The crab Rangoon was so delicious and tasty. Best I've ever had.My chicken yaki soba was extremely filling and tasty. I've never had a japanese restaurant give such great tasting food for affordable prices.I will definitely return to this place and highly recommend to all!"
"You'll pay $25-$50 per person. The sashimi catch of the day is a winnerIf you're doing sushi, try the Akai Hana Roll. The dining room has become stale and costs have skyrocketed. The great service and their quality keep them at 4 stars. Don't get too greedy! 06/24"
"Came in on a hoppin Saturday night 10 days before Christmas and the place was packed! If you come on the weekend reservations are probably a good idea. Parking will be hit/miss, you might get somewhere close. You might park 4 blocks away like I had to. The inside has a nice vibe as it's situated in an older building with lots of brick. The place is loud if it's busy so be prepared for that. The food is all really good, from the pho to the rangoons and egg rolls to all the sushi. My only chief complaint and I'm offering grace here because I know it was busy, is that it took a solid 25-30 minutes to get the appetizers after we got our drinks. Otherwise the service was good as well as the food. Check it out!"
"I was craving sushi for dinner on a Friday night before the High School Football game I was heading to. Sushi King came up with good reviews on Yelp. So I checked their menu out and it looked good. Currently with the Franklin County COVID restrictions they were only offering carry out service, which worked out perfectly for me. I ordered seafood rangoons, the sweet potato fried roll, crunchy spicy Kani roll, and the crunchy spicy salmon roll. I knew that was more food than I would eat, but I wanted to try a variety of things since it was my first time trying out Sushi King. The first thing I bit into was the seafood rangoon. They use a different wrap than I am use it, it is more delicate, with multiple wraps used, almost like it is layered like a pastry. It was good, not my favorite, but good enough.I was excited to try the sweet potato roll because I love Tai's sweet potato roll. In comparison Tai's does it better. Again, Sushi Kings sweet potato roll was fine, it was not what I was hoping for though. The other two rolls I went with because they had spicy in their name. I was hoping for a little notch up in heat, and I guess they offered that, the slightest little heat. I just wanted more.Overall Sushi King Asian Fusion was fine. It will not be my go to sushi establishment in the future. But if you are in the area and you want quick sushi I do think Sushi King can fulfill your needs."
"What an amazing spur of the moment time! Our chef Carlos from Venezuela hooked us up! I wish he would cook for me every day with all the fun we had. I had just got my oil changed and my mom and I hadn't ate since the morning and I did not want to go far or wait long for food. I originally decided to get the fast food version directly across the street hibachi. I looked to my left and there was ichiban so I pulled up and was about to look at pricing, then I said you know what let's just go in WHATEVER!Now from previous experiences I already know what happens and how the courses go. I ordered a large hot sake which is my go to. We ordered off the lunch menu for better pricing. I got salmon and fried rice along with steak and fried rice for my mom. I think my sake was bottomless based on how many pours I got lol. Highly recommended. In addition to our main meal we got salad for an appetizer which did not look appetizing. I could only stomach to eat half based on the look and color. The texture and taste of the dressing made me think they put it in a blender with onions. It tasted ok but looked suspicious. Now to the fun part! Our chef was so entertaining and I loved how he got the crowd participating which again is typical but he did it in a more refreshing way. I usually don't eat all my rice due to the large amount but it was the best fried rice hands down I could not stop. I always try and save something for the next day but had non leftover. The salmon was so juicy and not overcooked and the vegetables were sautéed to perfection. All I can say is that I was put in a food coma and it wasn't even 3 o'clock when I got home. Thank you Carl!"
"It's so exciting to finally have an omakase place in Columbus! The food was so good - the favorites were definitely the salmon (with caviar!) and the Spanish mackerel. The sake pairing menu is definitely something I'd want to try next time, although the Yuzu sake was probably my favorite from the current menu. They also have uni and other premium nigiri/sushi for add-ons as well! The service was also super nice and always took the time to explain each tour as well as all their drinks. The restaurant isn't super big so definitely recommend reservations. They change their menu every six weeks so we will definitely be back to try the new one soon!"
"Placed a carry out order. Portions were large and pricing was fantastic. Best crab Rangoon I've had. I will be visiting more often. The order was ready when i arrived great service."
"Visited this location at lunch while traveling on business. I was shocked at how good it was! Sushi in a smaller midwest city could easily have been basic but this was an excellent surprise. Service was very quick, and the place nearly empty on a Wednesday afternoon. Sushi selection was decent, with all the usual rolls, sashimi, and apps. We shared several rolls as a group and all of them were top notch - perfect mix of savory and spicy. Miso soup was on point too. I'd definitely recommend it. It may not look like much from the outside in the middle of a little strip mall of shops, but you'll be pleasantly surprised."
"Excellent portions and one of the best presentations at the table i have experienced. Taste was awesome. Potion sizes were awesome. Great good and great experience!"
"The food was delicious. The amount of food was more than enough for 1 person. My husband and I split a meal and had plenty. They were super fast and extremely friendly. I mentioned how much my husband loved their Yum Yum sauce. When I got home, there was extra Yum Yum sauce in the bag. I didn't even ask for extra sauce. I will definitely visit again."
"We ordered a couple of rolls that were really good (can't remember which rolls). I ordered the bento box and was very happy with it. The fried rice was okay. Inside was nice and welcoming! Wait staff were really nice!"
