"Ambiance, Service, and Food was lol fantastic. Snapshots isn't a MUST eat kinda spot, but you're in the area and taking someone out to eat or meet up with some friends or family the food and ambience will not disappoint. The Cuban Pork sandwich was really good, dripping with juice and flavor. The Clam Chowder (soup of the day) was also light in consistency but the flavor was awesome. I would definitely go again if I was ever in the area."

"The food here is excellent; so much so that I'm keeping the bookmark to make sure I come back the next time I'm in the neighborhood.  All the meats I've tried thus far have been deliciously juicy and tender.  One of my favorites from my first visit was the brisket; it's succulent and rich with a taste that's so good it will always leave you hungry for more! Tip: Portion sizes are all large, especially the sides.  While you might find it tough to save room, if you're a dessert person I recommend both the peach cobbler and the Reese's Pie"

"Oh CJ's how you fill my heart with joy. The soul roll is Probably one of the best things I've put in my mouth this year (pause). nah fr tho they do a lot of things really really well here, the soul rolls are elite just rich and delicious stuffed with Mac and cheese, greens, yam & smoked turkey with a sweet little drizzle! The Fried chicken/wigs goodgawd seasoned to the bone, crispy crunchy juicy. The catfish is legitimately the best catfish I've ever eaten. Period. Cornbread is buttery and moist. The Mac and cheese is top tier also has a Cajun vibe to it, it's a creamy Mac not a cheese pull Mac if you catch my drift. All the dang food is good. Ambiance is a personal choice they do live bands and DJ's and whatnot I personally was vibing and was pretty much bobbing my head the entire time while eating my food but the wifey thought it was too load, probably because she wanted to talk the entire time but ya know, god is good. lol. The have amazing murals of some African American legends all over the walls Kobe, prince, Aretha, Bernie, Aliyah and many other greats that have passed. Service was aight, drink ran out never got refilled but whatever, was a little slow on food coming out but we did order like $140+ worth of food. Now for a controversial topic, automatic 18% gratuity and $5 per person for the DJ and or band that's preforming. I'm on the I really don't care side of things but I can see it running people the wrong way. It's also not my first time being here so I already knew what it was. All in all tho I love this place. 8.9 out of 10"

"Wanted some fish but was lazy, so it had to be delivered. This popped as option on Grubhub. Got perch with Cole slaw and grew beans as sides. Also got few wings (haven't tried these yet). The fish was DELICIOUS although quite small pieces for the price. The slaw was good but green beans way too salty, although it had good flavor.The fish was delivered still hot. Definitely recommend"

"I need to preface this by stating, I'm not much for soul food - I think I may have been raised a little too caucasianally. However, I was open to trying Str8 when a friend asked me to lunch.The staff was so very friendly, and patient.I kept to the sides, as I am usually a side girl anyways. I ordered macaroni and cheese and the yellow rice. The rice was surprisingly my favorite followed by the Mac... my friend enjoyed his greens and told me the cornbread was really good. Honestly, I thought this place was out of business -- it's closed on Mondays, and I'm usually in the area on Mondays ;-)Note - this is take away only, but they do have a drive through.If this is your food type of choice, this appears to be a solid option."

"Hey y'all!! I'm pretty sure my pictures look kinda sus and aren't really giving this meal it's due diligence but hear me out. It was actually delicious....well...I have some notes: One: Do Not order off UberEats! ( they dropping off everybody and their momma meals before yours). Which is extremely irritating when by the time you get your meal it's a cool room temperature. Anywho i digress, what I loved about this meal was how flavorful and seasoned everything was. But my biggest gripe were those freaking mashed potatoes. You can always tell who is using powdered mashed potatoes and who isn't. It just don't hit the same. Everything else *chefs kiss* Aye that catfish though! Amazing! Compliments to the chef! -Oh I don't have a picture of the corn bread but that's the star of the show. Make sure you get some. Overall this place hit all the right spots and I definitely would recommend!!"

Specifically, Amina's Fish has been a staple in the Mount Vernon area.I ordered the catfish dinner (Mac & Cheese and Cabbage/Greens Mix), hush puppies, and fried okra. The food was amazing! "You may miss the building if you don't know exactly where it is. It's a small black building with a small interior. Small banner out front with a neon OPEN sign. We waited maybe 10 minutes for 4 Meals. Food was hot and the AROMA may have you eating in the car immediately. We ordered The Curry chicken as well as the Jerk chicken with a slice of their indulgent Carrot Cake. All large meals come with sides of Cabbage & Rice. I have nothing negative, just this place needs an update! Maybe somewhere to dine in and eat your meal. This Caribbean Cuisine is worth a try and I will be back to try more entrees and desserts!"

"Really the best. You can't go wrong with any of their options. One gets so much at such a reasonable price it makes you do a triple take. Got the dinner combo with comes with a side (either fries, fried okra, rice), "texas toast" (really just wheat bread buttered and flipped on the grill which was still great), and a drink (can of pop or bottle of tea/water). The flavor was there in the meal. The guy at the counter was very pleasant, patient, and cordial. Once ordering, it took less than 15 minutes til I had my meal. I'll certainly be back."
