The chutneys that comes with the samosa is the perfect addition to this appetizer. Hubby ordered the mango lassi and it was so refreshing!We got the chicken makhani (butter chicken), chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and buttered naan. Both entrees came with a nice portion of basmati rice. Everything was super flavorful! You're also able to choose your own spice level for your dish.The owner was such a doll. She was very sweet and made sure we loved our food. She wrapped up my food to go for me and gave us a free dessert to try (Gulab Jamun). The hospitality was amazing and we will be coming back when we visit Ohio again!"

I was full by the end!It's a much more elevated experience so the food is pricey. But the lamb tasted like it was a high quality and my friend's saag tasted really fresh!We got drinks as well, which were very much Indian-inspired with certain types of flavors and seasonings. Very unique! We all enjoyed what we got!We came midweek and it wasn't busy. My friend had made a 7:30 reservation but there were so many tables open.I liked the vibe. Very nicely decorated and they were playing music by Indian artists.You can find parallel parking, but it was difficult to find a spot so I parked at a nearby garage."

"Wowowow, Neehee's is soo good! For any Filipino reading this, it honestly feels just like an Indian Jollibee, but with a much bigger menu. Most of their food is plant-based with much of it being available vegan, and it is just so so delicious. I'm not familiar with all the dishes, but everything I've tried has been great. If you're not familiar with the food, I highly recommend just stepping outside of your comfort zone and going with a group so you can try multiple options. I always go with a group so I can try new things but also get the Paneer Veggie Grill. Every. Time. Bear with me as I grew up somewhere with tragically no Indian food, but for lack of a better comparison or description, it's like a deliciously flavorful, gooey grilled cheese. Definitely my strongest recommendation. You can't ever go wrong with mango lassi either. I tried Falooda for the first time during my last visit, and it was a hit. They describe it as the Indian equivalent to boba. I can see the comparison - sweet drink with dairy and textured topping - but it doesn't really compare. Very very delicious and creamy with a fantastic texture of basil seeds and vermicelli noodles.They also have a huge variety of home made ice cream. It is very good and very creamy."

The paneer dosa stuffed full of potatoes, was so good.The uthappam was something I had never had before just it was tasty.The sauces they both came with lacked flavor however & were on the thin side so couldn't really dip or pour them easily. Everybody has a first time at a restaurant...The restaurant itself is located in a strip mall in a no frills location. The interior is nothing fancy and the tables and chairs couldn't be more ordinary. But what we found was extraordinary was the service and flavors. As one of the folks that waited on us explained, they specialize in southern Indian cuisine though they also have northern. What's important here is that there are menu choices way beyond what is "normal" than most places and the staff were there to help. Honestly, the menu could improved with some photos and explanations but I am excited to expand our horizons on our next visit. Here's looking for an expanded commentary after that."

"While in Columbus for a volleyball tournament, I always make it a point to visit the North Market. There is a lot of variety here and I love that. While all of the food looked amazing, I went with Indian food because I haven't eaten any in a long time. So I requested goat curry with three different veggie dish over white rice with a piece of garlic naan. The veggie dishes were very tasty and a bit spicy. The goat curry and naan were excellent. I could eat some of this food every day. In fact, I wish I had a market like this in my neighborhood.The server was exceptionally friendly and the food was fantastic."

Locally I'm a big fan of Aab and Haveli Bistro and from what I hear, this actually used to be an Aab but they changed ownership recently. I was up to giving them a try and lucky for me (and you) they offer delivery directly from their Yelp page, easy peasy.My food arrived piping hot which tells me that they took the time to really wrap it all up nicely. I ordered the garlic naan and navratan korma and both were incredible. The naan was soft and pillowy but at the same time sturdy enough to handle the weight of the veggies in my korma dish. For those that don't know, navratan korma is a mixture of vegetables tossed in a creamy sauce with raisins and cashews. It's my all time favorite Indian dish and goodness did they do it right! I was really caught off guard by how tasty it was. I'll definitely add Khaab to my small list of go-to Indian restaurants around the 614. Give it a try!"

"This family owned and operated establishment is wonderful. We rarely want to go anywhere else and have made Star of India our weekly dinner outing. The dishes are consistently cooked to order with our desired ingredients, spice levels, and cooked to perfection. The dishes are accurate, plentiful, filling, and delicious. The waitress is very warm and welcoming, and even kindly inquires if we're ok when we miss a week. She remembers our typical orders although sometimes we deviate and try something new. She's always quick with refills, and while never feeling hurried, she's prompt with the bill. This small restaurant is adorned with an Indian motif. They offer great food for a modest price. We never leave hungry and always satisfied with our experience. Absolutely recommend!"

It's awesome and worth the drive - big, beautiful dining rooms with vaulted ceilings, plenty of parking, a lovely restaurant.Powell offers lunch buffet Friday, Saturday + Sunday 11:30am - 3:00pm. At $20/person, it's worth every penny. There was a large variety of dishes, very impressive - and dosas made-to-order fresh by the chef. (I admit, the dosa - with all of its ghee-buttery goodness, was my favorite dish among many favorite dishes...).Chef Anand Kumar is an exceptional chef. He and his wife Archana are both incredibly nice, and together they've created 2 wonderful, welcoming restaurants serving exceptional Indian food in lovely restaurants with very attentive service.Let me be clear - Awadh (both locations) are our favorite Indian restaurants in Columbus. We thought the vegetable Korma was better than the butter chicken and lamb dish. Well made bhatura can't survive on a buffet and this was the case here. Flat and flavorless. Dessert and Chai tea were included. In my opinion the quanity of the food was better than the quality. Fair tradeoff for most. Worth coming back if you don't mind that the food is just average. I had to look that up- it's a platter with eight or ten items. I chose goat biryani as my main, and there was a big bowl of excellence in the middle. Bone-in, of course. Tender tasty lamb, perfect rice. A little heat. There were a couple of big slabs of roti; I would have liked even more. Chicken tikka, plus other dishes I didn't quite recognize, some with meat, some veggie, a couple of condiments. Plus some little crisps scattered around that I also used to dip into sauces. Everything was good. Half of them were spicy but not overly so. Such a good blend of flavors and textures. I guess you can get refills but I was stuffed, for about $12 for the dish.Drinks are in coolers; juices, Coke, Indian pops. I chose Thums Up since I'd had it and liked it before. An Indian cola."

The Chai was really good and was spicy, and the samosas were really filling too (it had a lot of spices also inside, and came with two sauces. The only thing that I would change is the curry had some weird tasting carrots. I'm not sure why the carrots were like that. But the rest was good. I would like to come back for the lunch buffet. Also, I wish there were more fish in the curry, but I guess fish is probably not a popular option at the restaurant."

"We had wanted to try Biryani Corner for a while since it is close to our home, so we gave it a go one evening when neither of us wanted to cook. I looked at the reviews on Yelp and found a lot of mixed opinions; I also saw from the pics that the space was relatively small. So we opted for carry-out and made an online order. The selection of food was quite extensive, and both my wife and I had a hard time deciding what to try. In the end, we ordered samosas, chicken tikka masala, Vijayawada chicken biryani, garlic naan, rice, and raitha. We asked for the chicken dishes to be made medium, thinking that we both like a little heat and that they likely think of "medium" in the American sense of the word since they're in Columbus. They obviously were thinking of "medium" in more of an Indian sense of heat, because the food was quite hot. Not overwhelmingly so, but enough to drain the sinuses for a good long while. After we got over the initial shock of the heat, we enjoyed the food very much. It was really quite delicious, and they gave us very generous portions. My only complaint about the food is that the chicken tikka masala had a layer of grease floating on top of the sauce that seemed a little off-putting to me. Other than that, I cannot complain about the food at all.One other complaint that I have is that we ordered online and were given a pickup time that was not honored. When we arrived, my wife went in and was given a bag of food and told to pay. We have paid online. They realized that she was not the customer who had made that particular order, and she was told that they had not started making our order yet. Since there are no tables or chairs available inside (they were all piled to one side with the main dining area left as a large open area), we had to wait outside. They asked my wife to return in 10 minutes. After around 10 minutes, she went back in only to be told that it was still being prepared and to return a little later. So we waited around outside some more. A third time she went in, only to be told the same yet again. A couple of other customers came and went with their carry-out food, so I wondered what was going on. When she went in the fourth time, they were bagging the food. I have read other customers' reviews where they complained of not receiving the correct order. If the people at Biryani Corner simply hand a bag of food to people when they walk in the door, without asking who they are, it's no wonder people receive the wrong orders. So, check your order before you leave the restaurant. I would love to give this place five stars, but the customer service is severely lacking.Will I go back? Yes. The food was great!"

We were greeted immediately upon entry and the server came to take our order. I ordered the thali, which is several dishes in one. There is a split pea soup, three side dishes consisting of a potato dish, greens, and cauliflower. Nan a delightful sauce, the chicken dish and a sweet dough. All of this for a very reasonable price. The food was good, service good, and atmosphere, a bit cramped. I'd try it again."
