"So, is this a bar? Of course. "Tavern" is right in the name. But it's so much more.First, skip to dessert. This place carries a million types of Amish made pies. Flavors you didn't know existed. And frankly, I'm not sure how the Amish knew they existed. So save room for dessert. You have been warned. The food: this neighborhood classic has been dishing out comfort food since 1964. And they it really well. Burgers, fish, sandwiches, meatloaf...traditional bar fare done right. The bar: a cozy area in the main room with dining room booths and tables. Oh, and a patio out back where some might partake in tobacco, but as I'm not sure what the rules are about that anymore, I'll deny having said that. Bonus: they have TouchTunes but are often playing great songs on a radio.Bonus 2: this place has on street parking AND a parking lot. What the hell? On this street? Yes!!! Well done, 1964 planning. It's on a COTA bus line, too, for those of us who use transit. Bonus 3: Great staff. Sometimes it takes awhile to get your food order. You know why? Because they care and make it properly, so be cool. Pie is coming later. Pie! Stop in. Try it out. And wait for the Goldwater/LBJ election returns to come in. By the end of the night, you won't care, but you'll have made new friends and had a great meal. By the way, you can order pie to go. Because sometimes you need pie on the fly."
"High Beck is your classic neighborhood bar, complete with dart boards, Christmas lights hung year round, and a big huge bar right in the middle where everything is centered around. They have your typical beer offerings, nothing too over the top here (Aka no sour beers for me). But, they have a full bar of liquor to whip up whatever you're wanting! We got their pizza and potato skins and they were super good! Food came relatively quickly considering how crowded it was in there!! If you're looking for a casual neighborhood (sort of) divey bar to hang with your friends at, High Beck is the spot for you"
"I used to live in the neighborhood, but I have not been here for 20 or 30 years. It's a little different, but it's the same. It's a neighborhood hang out. It's getting towards the edge of German Village. The sauerkraut balls have been famous forever. Their menu otherwise has changed over the years. They have a Philly steak place in the kitchen, and so some of the menu is geared towards that. But there is plenty of other bar food.I got the balls, of course. They seem smaller thanI remember, but again it's been decades. And they were still excellent. They are essentially what I remember. Perfect combination of textures and flavors, served hot. They brought a collection of sauces to the table, but you don't really need any. So so good. I got wings too, because they looked good. They were out of one of the sauces I wanted, because they make the sauces from scratch. And the one I wanted, had raspberries in it and it's not raspberry season. I went with spicy peach, not very spicy, but very flavorful. Very peachy. The wings were meaty, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. 6 of them and 6 kraut balls was plenty for me for lunch. Service was excellent. Prices are pretty darn good. The place was cozy. It was not at all busy at two on a weekday afternoon. It gets busy at peak, of course. I will keep it in mind since I am in the area more."
"Best juke joint in Ohio. Oh and the food is awesome also. Catch a band, dinner, or lunch."
"This place ain't easy to find, no signs, but it's the big non-descript metal building that I think looks like a gun range. Trust your GPS, that's the right place. Going in here, it's obvious this is a local dive in which many folks here know one another. We went in with masks but everyone was maskless so once seated we too removed ours and did not wear them when we left. Our server was so darned friendly and awesome and everything we ate was just top notch, especially those darned cheese sticks. I can't state it strong enough, you must try the cheese sticks! A1 food here! Love local restaurants like this!!!!!!"

$7.00 cheeseburgers on Monday! I ordered the cheeseburger with America cheese. Choice of French fries or potato chips. Burger was cooked perfectly to order. Juicy and delicious! The service was decent. This is a neighborhood bar/diner. There are plenty of tables and booths to accommodate a crowd. Reasonably priced drinks. This is my go to place on Monday!

A cozy, neighborhood friendly bar thay really cares about the surrounding community and its patrons. A likely spot to catch hip people kickin' it late night. They offer a great atmosphere, a pool table, a foosball table, and free bar bites including pizza and chili dogs on certain days/hours. The locals tell me that the owner Tommy is a sweetheart. A good friend of mine is a regular here and he is greeted with a corona with lime and a smile upon entry. It's definitely a vibe and has been a South High staple since long before I was old enough to have drinks there. Actually it has been around for 101 years, since before prohibition!

It's about time Gwen. I've been meeting to check out Hey Hey for a looooong time, like before Yelp was born long time. Long and skinny space just how any well-respected neighborhood bar and grill should be. I'm a huge fan of German Village, Meriam Village, Hungarian Village areas, as you'll easily find a row of houses on a street (busy and not) with local independent shops and eateries spattered within that same row. Upscale is not really in HHBG's vocab; not because it's scummy or anything, atmosphere just is what it is, take it or leave it. My friend has a chili cook-off here every year for her Lions Club fundraiser, so I was glad to come, watch the OSU/MSU football game, and support their cause. Two ladies manning the bar, I just walked up and waited for service, which was fast and efficient. There's more seating in the big back open room with a projector screen showing the game. Somewhat of a big bummer that the sound was not working, and it took way too long for staff to come and take a look at it - even after bringing it up to the bar staff several times. And, to add to the fact, there's only three medium size TV above the bar, not exactly great for viewing multiple games simultaneously.

This is a must stop at restaurant! Atmosphere and decor is amazing, a blues/rock club atmosphere, small and tight seating and very crowded when we dined. Service was right on, the guy working was bartending and serving everyone, super professional and friendly attitude. Menu is awesome and food was great. We had Brussels sprouts app which was perfect, lightly salted and just delicious. Wife had the lobster Mac and cheese which I got a chance to enjoy as well. I had the special burger, which was super juicy and good. The Court Grill as a 5 star Bar and Grill with a menu that sure surprised me for a small town! Great Job guys! Keep it up and keep it going, I'm looking forward to my next visit when I am in the area!

This is one of my family's most frequented bar and restaurant! Their food is great, especially their pizza. One of the best in Lima I think! Also don't forget to stop here for $1 Taco Tuesdays.

I was visiting my BFF from college for a long weekend in Cbus and my beloved Chicago Blackhawks were playing in the Western Conference NHL Finals game 7. Since my friend doesn't have cable we headed down Livingston to Murph's.Being a Sunday night there were not many people in the bar which was kind of nice. The staff was nice and helpful in setting up the tv and sound so I could watch the Hawks! They have a decent beer selection and food menu. Though the food is pretty typical for a dive bar nothing special to write home about. The prices are super reasonable.I love a good dive bar and Murph's is that place for me in Cbus! I'll be making a few return trips next time I visit Cbus!

"Second try of this place and liked my food even more this time. My husband and I both ordered the open faced roast beef and it was delicious ! Portions were more than enough . Would eat again!"
"This place is a hidden gem! Clean and fresh atmosphere. Food was good too. Huge wings and a Bloody Mary to die for! Everyone was so welcoming! Will definitely be back. Bonus they are a Cleveland Browns backer bar!!!"
"This is a fun neighborhood dive that has cheap beer, decent draft selection, friendly service, and clean bathrooms. They also have surprisingly good pizza. They have 3 large TV's and several small ones for sports. They also have an out door smoking area/patio.What's not to like?"
"While Google mapping a route for the hubby & I to ride our motorcycles on the first nice spring evening in awhile, I discovered Oak Grove Tavern, so we decided to check it out. Oak Grove Tavern is tucked away along Alkire Rd right by a main entrance to Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park. I was delighted when I pulled into their parking lot & saw designated motorcycle parking spaces. The Tavern sits on a pretty decent stretch of land. They have picnic tables, a big pavilion/stage area outdoors, as well as your regular indoor seating and bar. It definitely has a local, hole in the wall, "everyone knows each other" vibe but everyone was very friendly to us newbies and made us feel welcome. Even the other customers greeted us when arrived and wished us a safe, fun ride when we left. The food isn't fancy, your normal bar grub, but it was tasty. They make a mean basket of fries! And their food and drink were cheap too.The bartenders were saying that Friday is their best night-steak night and Sundays are fun too-bike night. I look forward to coming back and checking out both."
"We stopped in here for a snack after hiking in the Hocking Hills, when our attempt at snacking at the counter of this cute little town's charming little grocer failed due to the only employee who knew how to work the equipment being "in town to get supplies". My experience was pretty similar to the previous reviewer's, like she said it's a "one-woman show".The menu is a basic list of whatever can be cooked on a griddle or tossed into an autofryer. Nothing special, but it meets what you'd expect for the price. Beer is cold and cheap. There's a pool table and everything else you'd expect at a small town biker bar. Pretty much this is a run-of-the-mill bar with a clever name.Handy tip: Enter through the door closest to the steps. I used the second door because it was propped open, and in doing so I found myself behind the bar. Whoops!"
