It's trendy, upscale, and has an energetic, boisterous ambiance. The dining room seating was on a wait, so we opted for the patio.Our server came right over and was very pleasant and helpful with our questions. Our drinks were tasty and had a good pour. I ordered a Mai Tai / Rum Runner but got something more like a Margarita. Wasn't what I expected, but it was quite good. (I ordered a second drink, just so you know). I decided to go with the "Mr White," which is a delicious white pizza with a nice wood fired oven crust. There was a decent amount of cheese, a pleasing combination of flavors, and a noticeable nutty taste. I also tried Libby's Eggplant and Valerie's Spinach Artichoke pizza, and both were pretty tasty.Good food, good service, and good conversation with long-time friends... What an enjoyable evening! Wheat Penny Oven And Bar is definitely worth checking out for an upscale dining experience."

I was full by the end!It's a much more elevated experience so the food is pricey. But the lamb tasted like it was a high quality and my friend's saag tasted really fresh!We got drinks as well, which were very much Indian-inspired with certain types of flavors and seasonings. Very unique! We all enjoyed what we got!We came midweek and it wasn't busy. My friend had made a 7:30 reservation but there were so many tables open.I liked the vibe. Very nicely decorated and they were playing music by Indian artists.You can find parallel parking, but it was difficult to find a spot so I parked at a nearby garage."

"I'm a little conflicted on my feelings about A&R. There were tons of positives to mention about my experience, but there were also some pretty prominent negatives. I'll start with the positives. TL;DR - most everything was fabulous aside from the service/staff.Location - GREAT! Very convenient and within walking distance of several hotels.Decor/Vibes - OMG! I loved how beautiful it was in here. The artwork, the chandeliers, the dinnerware and glasses. Everything was gorgeous!Drinks - I had the Jalapeno Pineapple Marg and it was good!! It was sweet, but the the spice from the jalapeno was a nice balance with the agave and pineapple. My colleague ordered another margarita and thought it was too sweet, which is totally preference. The agave is obviously a sweet addition, so just keep this in mind!Food - Awesome! The tacos are legendary for a reason. The Birria options are especially unique and tasty. My friend got chicken and raved over them! I really enjoyed my "Epic Tacos", too. I got the Gangsta and the Swipe Right. They were HUGE and tasty. I also LOVED the queso and salsa. The salsa was chunky and fresh, unlike any I've ever had. Prices - it's a little pricey, but the portion sizes are large ($8+ for a taco, but I think it was worth it!)Service - I think this is where they fell really flat. Look, I am super easy going and understanding. I still was in this situation, but there were just several little things that added up. It wasn't very busy when we went, but it took about 15 minutes or more to be sat. Our waiter was nice, but several things were forgotten and missed. It could have just been an off day. But overall, the staff just wasn't super friendly or efficient. I'm not sure what was going on, but it was really off putting.All this to say, check out A&R! The food and decor are well worth the trip, but maybe this location or this day was just struggling."

After you provide her such a large tip on your check, she laughs about how men are so simple to get interested in her until she sometimes reveals to them the fact that she's pregnant and has a boyfriend. Her friends laugh with her as she diminishes you behind your back for being divorced, lonely, and frequently returning.You, sir, have probably had an incredible career. You made it further in marriage than many do. Some of us single men have reasons why we shouldn't take that leap into marriage yet. And now that you are alone after working throughout your life to leap for commitment and happiness -- from one man to another, I believe you still deserve happiness.And even though the barbecue at Pecan Penny's is amazing, you're not going to find happiness with a woman who makes fun of you after you seek her attention, tip her noticeably well, and step out. You did nothing wrong here to deserve being made fun of by her and her friends in front of other customers, but since we're being real -- you're not going to find what you're looking for at this bar.I highly recommend travel. You talked about Spain today. Try Latin America or South America. There are warm places that will naturally and authentically support your energy, where a woman has real empathy and a real heart for you. Find the authentic kindness. It exists. There is so much beauty out there, and you'll find a woman who values how you work and who you are as a man despite past flaws.Pecan Penny's bar is not the place where you're going to find that kind of woman. If it was, there would be a line around the corner for the amazing barbecue and authentic friendship. You're being used and diminished. This bar is not a good place to be alone.3/12 Update: My friend went to Pecan Penny's. He sat down to eat and invited me over. I told him I wasn't ready to go back. He mentioned this review to the bartender, and the bartender told him to go to The Walrus (kicked him out).3/19 Update: Heather, manager of Pecan Penny's texted me and told me this review is crazy. She said she is going to request Google to review it (photo attached). I don't know why Google would remove this review, when it is honest.Realizing I'll never be going back to this restaurant now, I think about how I supported Pecan Penny's for years (thousands of dollars of purchases during the pandemic when we ran Hidden Drive-In events in Downtown Columbus). I don't regret those times of support. I just notice how much has changed in the culture of this restaurant and maybe that is a reflection of downtown, or Columbus, or the country -- but I try not to let myself go that far. The burger was perfectly cooked to medium temperature.I have never had fries like the ones at GCBC. They're thick like steak fries, but they have a twist; not a curl, not a spiral, a twist and the accompanying ketchup is delightfully spicy! GCBC has quickly become one of my favorite breweries with a food menu. It has plenty of open space inside and a nice patio area outside. We got the Whiskey War flight, a sampler of the traditional winners that you'll always find a winner with.We wanted something light to snack on so we chose the pimento cheese... soooo glad we did. Great portion but better flavor.By the time we'd made notes on the whiskey and finished the cheese we were ready to hit the gift shop and purchase a bottle of Midnight Cask and the original Whiskey War. "My godparents wanted to take my husband and I out for a nice dinner since we hadn't seen them in many months. They suggested The City Square Steakhouse. My husband and I had never been, so we were down to try it! The second I saw seafood bisque on the menu, I knew what I was ordering. It's not the easiest to find any form of bisque in Ohio, let alone one with scallops, crab, and lobster. It was perfect. In fact, I am savoring the last bites of my leftovers as I type this. It reheated well! I ordered a salad to accompany the soup and opted for the Bistro Salad- Mixed Greens, Mustard Vinaigrette, Toasted Pistachios, Baked Goat Cheese Crostini. It definitely needed cheese, so I asked for some goat cheese to add. Then it was perfect. My husband got a burger and my godparents got shrimp cocktail, side salads, steak and baked potato. The petite steaks were smaller than we anticipated, but were apparently still good. They give you bread and butter for the table too. My godmother wanted dessert and insisted I get some too. She got creme brulee (which I tried. It was great). I got a special-- cranberry curd on a ginger cookie base with little meringue cookies on top. It was so delish and perfect for this season."

Gluten free bread was a nice touch to start the meal and my martini was great. My partner is not gluten free but he got the ravioli special and loved it. We shared a lovely bottle of Soave which paired perfectly with both of our meals. I had chicken piccata and it was also delicious. Desserts were awesome, especially the spumoni! "My husband and I have eaten at Veritas a handful of times now and every experience has been nothing short of excellent. I am disabled and I really appreciate their considerate reminder of where the ADA entrance is and they really do everything they can to be accommodating. The service is always spectacular. I always get the wine pairing with our meal and the servers are all so knowledgeable. It's such a fun little lesson about wine. I also highly recommend the wine pairing because it is so thoughtful and really adds to the meal experience. The food always blows me away with creativity, thoughtfulness, and care put into every dish. Veritas is very worth the price and we'll happily continue to spend our special occasions with them."

"I just visited Greek Star for the second time (the first being takeout) and once again, I was fully satisfied.  Having grown up with a best friend whose parents were from Greece, I've enjoyed many authentic meals throughout my teen years.  The problem with that being you can't find good food in half of these restaurants.Being a fan of gyros, I have been told that shawarma was very close, but primarily a Middle Eastern dish, so I gave it a shot.The first time I had the lamb and beef, which was absolutely amazing!  Seasoned incredibly well with great texture (I had a tough spot or two, but nothing to complain about).  Sadly, I was eating while driving and spent more time licking the dripping sauce off of my forearm than I did chewing!  That's my own fault for treating it like a burrito.Today, I sat in the restaurant and had the chicken shawarma.  Let me tell you, this was better than the lamb and beef imho.  The chicken was prepared perfectly, the vegetables were fresh and mildly crunchy, the bread was firm and tasty and like before, the texture was amazing with each slow chew.  It was saucy, like before (I didn't think to ask what kind of sauce it was), but at least I could handle it with two hands and eat it at the appropriate angle.What I really enjoyed about it was the aftertaste.  It was like the inverse of the pain of stubbing your toe, a millisecond after the act.  Once the food passed down, you got a reprise of that great flavor that stayed with you.  The only hearbreak was drinking my strawberry lemonade after, washing it down.  By the way, I'm big on a drink flavor that compliments the main dish.  As far as non-alcoholic beverages go, strawberry lemonade is a winner (I don't drink, so you'll have to figure out what else goes good with it).Definitely a must if you're looking for something new..."

We like the small, independently owned and operated, local establishments. District 13 fit the bill for our weekly lunch.The restaurant is in an old Chase Bank branch and the beer taps are fitted into the front of the old vault.My wife ordered two appetizers as a lunch meal - the appetizer portion of crab cakes and the Crispy Bangkok Brussels (which the menu bills as "tossed in Thai chili sauce, toasted cashews, mint, and sriracha aioli". The brussel sprouts was a large portion - intended to be shared - and my wife did indeed share them with me. Both were excellent.I ordered the Sweet Whiskey Burger which was topped with carmelized onions, smoked bacon, white American cheese and a whiskey glaze. It comes with chips but I upgraded to fries and I am SO GLAD I did. The burger was exceptional (definitely makes my "TOP 5" list and the fries were incredible. These were among the best fries I've had. Since my wife was sharing her brussel sprouts, I shared my fries with her. She's not as big of a burger and fries fan as I am but she also loved the fries.The service was excellent and the server was very personable and friendly."

The soul roll is Probably one of the best things I've put in my mouth this year (pause). nah fr tho they do a lot of things really really well here, the soul rolls are elite just rich and delicious stuffed with Mac and cheese, greens, yam & smoked turkey with a sweet little drizzle! The Fried chicken/wigs goodgawd seasoned to the bone, crispy crunchy juicy. The catfish is legitimately the best catfish I've ever eaten. Period. Cornbread is buttery and moist. The Mac and cheese is top tier also has a Cajun vibe to it, it's a creamy Mac not a cheese pull Mac if you catch my drift. All the dang food is good. Ambiance is a personal choice they do live bands and DJ's and whatnot I personally was vibing and was pretty much bobbing my head the entire time while eating my food but the wifey thought it was too load, probably because she wanted to talk the entire time but ya know, god is good. lol. The have amazing murals of some African American legends all over the walls Kobe, prince, Aretha, Bernie, Aliyah and many other greats that have passed. Service was aight, drink ran out never got refilled but whatever, was a little slow on food coming out but we did order like $140+ worth of food. Now for a controversial topic, automatic 18% gratuity and $5 per person for the DJ and or band that's preforming. I'm on the I really don't care side of things but I can see it running people the wrong way. It's also not my first time being here so I already knew what it was. All in all tho I love this place. 8.9 out of 10"

"Indian food is a favorite of mine and I love trying out new Indian restaurants when I travel and when I'm craving a nice cozy meal at home. Locally I'm a big fan of Aab and Haveli Bistro and from what I hear, this actually used to be an Aab but they changed ownership recently. I was up to giving them a try and lucky for me (and you) they offer delivery directly from their Yelp page, easy peasy.My food arrived piping hot which tells me that they took the time to really wrap it all up nicely. I ordered the garlic naan and navratan korma and both were incredible. The naan was soft and pillowy but at the same time sturdy enough to handle the weight of the veggies in my korma dish. For those that don't know, navratan korma is a mixture of vegetables tossed in a creamy sauce with raisins and cashews. It's my all time favorite Indian dish and goodness did they do it right! I was really caught off guard by how tasty it was. I'll definitely add Khaab to my small list of go-to Indian restaurants around the 614. Give it a try!"
