Jayme H. "Biscuits are trending in Columbus. Whether it's a stand alone business like this one or a restaurant known for having good ones, I've been seeing them and eating them everywhere. This Woman-owned bakery offers biscuits of all shapes and sizes. Ranging from full on breakfast sandwiches to mini biscuits, all are packed with flavor and a lot have a fun twist. The lemon lavender was my favorite and I really enjoyed the cheddar jalapeno. I opted to get 12 little ones and even froze a few to last longer. Once thawed out they were as yummy as the day I picked them up.The space itself is a breath of fresh air. The theme is obviously bees and kindness, which can be seen in every nook and cranny of the bakery. They offer other locally made items and even have Stauf's coffee available. They have plenty of parking with a lot right next door and some street parking out front. It's hard to miss their neon biscuit sign so keep your eyes peeled for that once you get close.Support local. Support Women-owned businesses, and most of all, spread kindness... while chowing down on biscuits, of course!"

Chips and salsa very good; very fresh salsa with good flavor. The menu is not overwhelming but a nice variety. We will be back for sure and I suggest that you give it a try too. Great job on opening day. Congratulations!"

Nick D. ""Small town with a big heart." That is what I would describe the Liberty Gathering Place as. Stopped in here after walking in the West Liberty Labor Day Parade last month. I had the pulled pork sandwich (which was homemade I think) with their fries. It was pretty tasty. If I ever make it back to West Liberty, I will have to stop by again. Jayme H. "How have I sat on this place for so long? I'm seriously kicking myself. I haven't been in years but I found myself craving a good salad one day and decided to try Alchemy again. They were offering delivery, it was within my budget, and they had several good options to choose from. I ordered the green goddess salad and got it vegetarian. To do that, they subbed out the chicken for avocado. Yum! The salad also had green apples, snap peas, delicious pickled onions, goat cheese, an interesting matcha granola, all tossed in a refreshing lemon vinaigrette. I legit ate every single bite. And I'm already itching to order it again. While I used to always come from the smoothies and bowls, I will now be coming for their house favorites and handheld items. Can't wait to try more... especially that salad."

Jan-Ellen B. "We expected to have a higher quality of food since they lead you to believe the food is Amish. The cream for the coffee was nondairy and the butter for the homemade bread was a spread. The food was limited to whatever they filled the buffet with. For instance. The chicken was all white meat except for the wings, which were dried out. We did not have any of the items on the menu, we opted for the $16.99 buffet which was adequate. Our table was clean and not in the way of patrons heading to the salad bar. The restrooms were clean. The store out front was for tourists and had a fair amount of products."

The service is European style - a bit more leisurely and food takes a bit longer. It is so worth it. Food was served piping hot and is like true home cooking at its finest. The vegan skillet was loaded with lots of fresh veggies and was big enough for two meals. The almond buckwheat pancakes were served with a homemade berry compote and delicious coconut cream. The coffee was not my favorite, but it did get me caffeinated for the day.The sweets case was full of goodies and I have my eye on the Russian honey cake for a future visit."

James M. "Well, this place is working wonders. Stuck in the middle of nowhere Ohio, doing DECENT, YES DECENT Mexican food, I salute them. This is a small joint and it's nearly ALL KITCHEN. I walk up to the window and wait really long seeing as I'm 3 feet from the girl behind the glass. If they open the window, you could almost make your own food.I ordered a breakfast burrito, which is served all day but took about 15 mins and 2 Mini tacos. She apologized for the delay. The Pros:Great size for a burrito. The eggs were great.Food was hot.The Cons:The food lacks flavor and heat. Mild Pico De Gallo is just tomatoes and onions. The cheese is cheap. You can tell if you've had the good stuff.Eggs are cooked on the grill. This is a NO-NO. Get an EGG PAN, it's used only for eggs(thus the name). Ugly eggs are just bad.The tortilla develops a sweetness when fried, it's almost like a sopapilla. Prices are slightly high, especially for the quality.Tweak a few things and step up the quality of your ingredients. ADD SOME FLAVOR. With that said, FOR THIS AREA, it's ok but take a trip to Texas and get some pointers! Keep at it!"

Jeffrey C. "I didn't care too much for The Mill when Buehler's first came to town. Its service quality, food quality and selection has really bounced around. Years later, I think it has settled into a restaurant I see as a decent option in Ashland. While the food is pricier than it should be ($10+ per person for diner food), they have solid burgers, pretty good breakfast and definitely the best salad bar around. Their servers are all pleasant and typically remember you from visit to visit. Unfortunately, everything takes quite a while. They simply can't handle larger orders. When my family goes there (about 10-14 people), our food takes about an hour to come out of the kitchen. It's also not uncommon to stand at the podium for 5 minutes before you're even addressed."

The wait staff was friendly and helpful as we had questions since it was our first time. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs. It's not on the menu, but it's a secret special. You have waitresses that are working their tails off and the one or two guys in the kitchen are pushing hard to get the meals out. But you don't come here if you're in a hurry for your food. You come and enjoy the time and sit and enjoy the people and the talking. The food was excellent. We had breakfast there this morning. We walked up to the counter to order, and you could see they were a bit busy. The lady at the counter was kind enough to let us know that any items from the kitchen would be a 30 minute wait. We instead opted for a cheddar sausage jalapeño muffin type thing, plus an iced mocha and an iced lavender honey latte. The sausage biscuit was super tasty! And the coffees were actually some of the best, most well-balanced iced coffees I have had in a long time, and I have had a lot of iced coffees from a lot of different places.Hopefully they can get their kitchen up to speed with the demand they are having from customers! No stars taken because the staff was still nice and they are still pretty new. Looking forward to trying more from the kitchen."

The music was blaring so loud you could hear it in the parking lot then once we got inside it was followed by the server singing at the top of her lungs. The entire staff was singing and cussing the entire time we were there which brings me to the second issue there was only one other table in the building and we waited 40 minutes for 2 omlettes and they couldn't even get our order correct. Probably because they couldn't hear over the music and too busy screwing off. A complete disappointment! We will not be returning!"

The jalapeño soup, black bean nachos, burritos, and other breakfast items (eggs, toast, bacon, pancakes, etc) are all solid choices. Stay away from the cornbread crusted chicken casserole (sounds so much better than it tasted...)However, the dark haired younger lady that acts like a hostess is really rude and on a power trip with seating guests. Mark K. "Noticed this near my work, and had a bit of time so swung by. From the previous review I figured maybe it was an Italian place, with pasta, pizza, subs. But, no, a nice little small town diner. Nothing fancy, but comfy and clean. Lots of breakfast items, but I was too late for them. The special was shepherd's pie, which I love, so easy choice there. For lunch there are also sandwiches and salads. The shepherd's pie was like homemade, though it was less solid than some. Not a slice of a casserole, more a couple of scoops. Potatoes, sausage, cheese... Great comfort food, hot and filling and a little peppery. Sided with old-school slightly overcooked green beans, and a fresh salad (with real tomatoes, as in, probably from someone's garden.) Service was great and friendly. Prices are reasonable. It's a bit out of the way for me, but there seemed to be regulars and I hope more locals come in. For $9 for a full meal, compared to the same amount for crappy fast food, it's a deal. The name appears to be Cafe 559 now, at least on the menu and signs. There is a bar next door, so I'm guessing the restaurant closes when the bar opens?Cash only. There is a cellphone dead zone around the town, at least for Verizon, so once I got close I couldn't even use GPS. It's near the main corner."
