"My partner introduced me to Pistacia Vera. He spoke highly of the macaroons and how they were so much better than another place he'd previously visited regularly.I finally decided to try it out, and although I didn't have the macaroons, what I did have was excellent. I had the Lemon Tart and the chocolate bombe.It's a small place, and it was very busy when I went. However, the service was quick and friendly, so being temporarily cramped for space wasn't a big issue.They do have outdoor seating, so that's a plus on nice weather days. Overall, my visit to Pistacia Vera was well with it, and I'd recommend everyone try them out."

"I feel like it's rare to see a coffee shop so hopping on a dreary midafternoon, but here we have Columbus staple Fox in the Snow doing just that! My partner wanted to come because there's supposed to be a Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit coming out before long (if not already) called Foxes in the Snow. Parking appears to mainly be nearby street parking. There's plenty of seating at this location, but we could only find room at a standing counter. They also have self-serve water stations, which is always handy. I got the tomato pesto baguette sandwich that was really good. It was around $10 and very filling, and not even my expansive appetite could finish it. I also had the New Orleans iced coffee. The barista was explaining the flavor combination and I can't remember what all is in it but it was quite good!My partner got a mocha and a brownie - he's a sweet tooth! I had a sampling of each. The mocha is nicely rich with chocolate and not too much sugar. The brownie is also of the same sentiment, but also fairly buttery. I really loved it!I'm not local to Columbus but I would recommend this place for a pit stop and recharge for sure!"

"Established in 1969, Der Dutchman is an Amish Kitchen featuring a buffet "All you can eat". The buffet is extensive and costs $18.99. Chicken, ham, beef, mashed potatoes, stuffing and assorted vegetables and salads are available.. Well I am not a fan of "All you can eat" dining experiences nor am I a fan of buffets. So you might ask, What are you doing at Der Dutchman? Simply put, that is where the client wanted to go.Fortunately, you can choose from the dinner menu. I choose the chicken breasts which came with Mac & Cheese, and green beans ($13.75). There were other options to choose from. I can not complain about the food other than nothing was special about it. For this meal I would give it a 3 Star rating.I also had the iced tea with refills ($3.29).The star of the meal was the rhubarb pie. The crust was perfect and the rhubarb pie also contained sweet black raspberries which offset the tart rhubarb. I would return for the rhubarb pie. You see, the Dutchman has a separate bakery and it is wonderful. 4 Stars for the bakery. The third part of Der Dutchman is devoted to Carlisle Gifts which I did not explore."

"Dough Mama is the best! When someone suggests brunch, it immediately comes to mind. They are famous for their pies but their breakfast and lunch menu should not be overlooked. My all-time favorite is the avocado biscuit with the side salad (you can even buy a jar of the amazing umami soy sauce-ish dressing to take home!). I also have enjoyed many a seasonal quiche. Unique to DM is a wall to the left when you walk in that has slips of pre-paid items you can tear off and present at the ordering counter. If you can't afford a meal or need a little pampering, this is a great opportunity to care for the Clintonville community. Cute gifts adorn their entrance area and the vibe is eclectic and homey."

"Love a good local coffee shop. We are staying nearby for a wedding this weekend, and have been here everyday this week. They have plenty of options and there's always something new to try. This local coffee joint is located in the heart of German Village, and next to the Book Loft. We walked over and when we walked in, we were greeted with the incredible coffee smells. The roaster located right at the front and endless bags of coffee. I ended up trying their drink of the day, and loved it. The cold brew made for a really refreshing drink and the energy kicked right in. We also got a few different savory items, the toasted bagel came with 2 cream cheese cups which was perfect for both sides of the bagel. All in all we had such a great experience, and can't wait to come back and try more coffee blends & drinks."

"My dad and I discovered this place on a whim and loved it! It's a bit hidden and unassuming from the outside but larger than it appears. Immediately, we were greeted from the 2 friendly employees in the front. The decor is an almost chaotic hodgepodge, but in a familiar, home-y way. I love how much personality shines through the decor. There are green and plants everywhere along the window, Korean and western signs, mellow jazz music, and casual cafe seating in addition to an entire area of traditional Korean seating. There are a menu of baked items, a case of items at the register, and an assortment of Korean, Japanese, and French pastries to pick up yourself and bring to the register. There's also a wide variety of drink options, from coffee to hot tea to bubble tea. I didn't love the bubble tea (no adjustable sugar or ice, so it's veryy sweet) but my dad was very impressed by the coffee. I'd love to try a hot tea next time I visit.Overall, I highly recommend this hidden gem! Super cozy spot for studying, a casual coffee date, or just picking up some yummy pastries."

This Woman-owned bakery offers biscuits of all shapes and sizes. Ranging from full on breakfast sandwiches to mini biscuits, all are packed with flavor and a lot have a fun twist. The lemon lavender was my favorite and I really enjoyed the cheddar jalapeno. I opted to get 12 little ones and even froze a few to last longer. Once thawed out they were as yummy as the day I picked them up.The space itself is a breath of fresh air. The theme is obviously bees and kindness, which can be seen in every nook and cranny of the bakery. They offer other locally made items and even have Stauf's coffee available. They have plenty of parking with a lot right next door and some street parking out front. It's hard to miss their neon biscuit sign so keep your eyes peeled for that once you get close.Support local. Support Women-owned businesses, and most of all, spread kindness... while chowing down on biscuits, of course!"

There's also plenty of parking out front.I walked in to find a slightly outdated space that was adorned with all kinds of plants. If you know me at all you know plants and greenery are my favorite. A smile quickly spread across my face. Almost immediately, what I would describe as a grandma figure that you automatically want to just hug, emerged to answer my questions and even make suggestions. She pointed out her favorite treat and I snagged one up along with a croissant and a conchas. The price tag was insanely cheap and just like that I was on my way.All in all, if you're looking for authentic Mexican treats, you've found your place. A few of my items were a little dry, but I was there towards the end of the day, and they still hit the spot."

For the most part this is a nice place to enjoy some pastries. My favorite is the cream cheese donut and red velvet cake. Also, I like the sticky milk bread. My last time going the lady working the register was a little pushy. If someone ask to scan the app to earn points, you shouldn't keep telling them that you'll print the receipt for them to scan a barcode when the app works fine.Despite that, it's still a decent price. Their heated patio is really good."

As you see in the Picture, the brownies come wrapped in a cute box with colorful ribbon and In the summer now are shipped with cold packs and sent 2 day air for $5 (wow!!) anywhere in the continental USA.
