Buff City Soap - Easton

I really wanted to love this place! I have been going to Lush forever and wanted to try Buff City after seeing their new location open at Easton. I went in and was blown away by all of the different scents that they have! They are cruelty free, use no harsh chemicals, plant based, and items are handmade daily. I bought two laundry soaps (they were buy one get one), shower oil, body scrub, two soap sleeves (LOVE THESE SO MUCH), two soap bars, and a bath bomb for around $60. This price is unheard of for everything that I purchased! The only reason I cannot give them 5 stars is because I had a reaction to the actual scent that I bought. I purchased 'Good Morning Sunshine' in all of the products except the soap bars. My skin reacted fine to the soap bars, but I had a reaction that left my skin itching all over. When I reached out to customer service, I was told to speak with the manager (Julie) for either an exchange or refund due to the reaction. When I arrived to the store, Julie was not there so another manager helped me. This store is so new that it seems like everyone is still trying to learn how to use the system! Unfortunately, I was not able to get an actual refund to my card. I did end up getting store credit, which is great, but I probably will not be able to use it! I am planning on passing this store credit on to someone who loves Lush as much as I do and can benefit from trying something new! The employees at this store are so friendly and go out of their way to make sure all of your questions are answered! There is a place where you can try their items as well! I definitely recommend doing this! I loved the feeling of putting on the shower oil after using the body scrub. It sounds like this reaction was definitely scent related... my nerves got the best of me and I was too afraid to try the unscented due to the past few weeks of constant itching. I now am back to using my regular laundry detergent and skin care items!

I don't normally do reviews on small businesses because that is for my Instagram blog but I thought I'd write one for Buff City Soap as I was impressed with their customer service. I went to Buff City Soap recently for the first time and they were having a sale on laundry so I decided to try their dryer balls that weren't part of the sale but they gave me a sample so it was a good buy for me. I tried their laundry detergent and am very impressed, my clothes have never smelled and felt better as the detergent comes with Soap With 100 % Coconut Oil, Citric Acid, Washing Powder, Essential Oils and/or Phthalate & Paraben Free Fragrances. My clothes are so soft and feel fresh. The Wool Dryer Balls (3 Pack) are great as they replace those stupid dryer sheets and I just read on their website now that you can return to any Makery to get them re-scented. I knew that I needed to get the re- scented every 100 loads but wow! Another thing I want to note is that I didn't like the scent that I got at all so I brought them back the next day and they just switched them out, no questions asked. Great customer service. Can't wait to go back soon and try more.

Love this place! I saw a location when I was in Louisville and bought a lot of stuff. So when I saw there was a location at Easton I was super excited! When I walked in I smelled a freshness and scent that immediately hit my nostrils and made me smile. In addition, I saw staff mixing and making products. When I saw that staff was making products immediately peaked my interest, in addition products are plant based and cruelty free. Me personally I like to see things made in house , you know and can see what is going into your products. Being vegan, makes this a place on buy products and know that animal products are not used. And products made in house are what I look for to prevent harmful skin outbreaks and issues. In addition, I love the plant based laundry soap and it smells wonderful, cleans well and is also made in house rather than a factory. I go here for my laundry detergent and soaps especially when there is sale. I recommend who want to use plant based products and made in house products

I came in today to restock my detergent. My daughter is 3 and came in with me. The bath bomb painting is a fun addition & she always enjoys that. She painted one and as I was picking up my product to purchase & take to the register she started painting another that was placed next to her on the counter. I apologized & was embarrassed but she's 3. My mom was with her but was responding to an email so she didn't notice until she had put a little pink paint on it. My hands were full walking to the register with 7 containers is why I didn't notice her putting paint on until it was too late. I apologized & went on to spend $100 on detergent. I came back after purchasing to the area is where they paint & asked if we could add the scent to the second one she started painting. She said hold on let me check, came back & She said "we are gonna just pitch it anyways". So not only no but we are throwing it in the trash instead of giving it to you. I thought it was very rude & not professional. It was completely dead in there & I would understand if there were other kids or something she took an experience away from but it truly was an accident made by my 3 year old. Just disappointing to have service like that when I'm spending $100 on laundry detergent. I have been to many other locations in other states, the last place I went not only let her paint one but gave us 2 pre-made in bags to take home & we're sweet to my daughter. I came from out of area to restock but will be going to another location next time. Just was rude.

I really love the products at Buff City Soap! The selection of scents is great, the options are good and I like that they add seasonal scents as well. The staff are friendly and available to answer questions or offer help. The only improvement I'd like to see is more clear pricing info for every product. Most items have a sign nearby or on the name of the product but every time I've been in the store I've been a bit frustrated by not being able to clearly find the price for at least a few things I'm interested in. However it def hasn't stopped me from finding lots of great things to buy!

I use all of their products and love the large selection. The service is phenomenal and friendly. I love this place!
