Great ambiance. Great food. Large portions. Great meeting spot. Half way between Canton & Columbus.

Great for kids!My kids loved the experience of eating in a train. Upon entering you order your food. The menu is enlarged on the wall but it hard to see with the person, register, and other things in the way. They have printed menus but they are copies of other copies so very difficult to read. I felt like the prices were high based on the quality of the food. They give a huge portion of fries, which I think was way too much. We had plates of fries leftover. Overall the food was average. It's worth a trip once for the novelty of the experience.

Food is good! Family friendly and good service. A little pricy but it's quality and a lot of fries with the burgers and sandwiches. Thick fried bologna, fresh handmade chicken salad, and fresh hand pressed burgers are the way they do it here.Awesome train conversion to a diner adorned with football memorabilia throughout. Most The Ohio State University, but also Ohio UBobcats, and Cleveland Browns represented. It's like someone needed a place to store their collection and decided to open an awesome train restaurant to put it in. Outside is a play zone and all kinds of old west scenes surrounding the area. Captivated by the layout and decor, but don't touch display items.Absolutely worth checking out. Only issue right now is figuring how to get up there. Take the first road to the left of the building that look like a non paved construction access road up the hill.Can't wait to pass through again to try something else on the menu!

I always see this on Ohio travels on Facebook and comes highly recommended. It is really cool to see the different things they have there and to be able to eat in a train car. The experience was based around the train and the Ohio state football team, with many pictures and memorabilia. The food was just average. I had the perch sandwich and my wife had the wings. It was a typical diner experience. Nothing amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Awesome Diner in a train car with a great view. The patty melt was delicious and the French fries amazing! Service was friendly. You place your order then find a seat and a server brings your food. Lots of OSU paraphernalia all over! Hubby ordered a hamburger with special sauce and really enjoyed it.

The Buckeye Express Diner is my all time favorite "burger and fries" place. I stop here anytime I'm in the Mansfield/Belleville area.The diner is housed in an old railroad dining car and there are other old "train things" like an old locomotive on site. The restaurant sits up on a hill behind all the gas stations and fast food restaurants along the main road.On my last visit, I had the "Woody" which is a burger with a horse radish sauce. The burger was excellent and the fries are always great. Even my wife who is not a burger freak like me, loves their burgers and fries.The menu is heavy on burgers and sandwiches, including hotdogs and fish. The prices are very reasonable.Top of my list for burgers and fries.

Not sure if I enjoyed the Buckeye atmosphere or foos. I had the Lake Erie Perch no bread & it was 3 large pieces. Very good. Would stop again. Plus you can see the world's largest bobble head.

The restaurant itself is really cool. We are dining in a train car! It's a must see for Ohio State fans as Buckeye decor is EVERYWHERE. The staff couldn't be more friendly and their recommendation was spot on. I ordered the Italian Sandwich w/mac and cheese and my husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger with hand cut fries. The food came out fast and the portions are huge. We both really liked what we ordered and we would definitely come back if in the area.

This would be one of those local traps where everyone says it's good because they maybe never had a good burger. The burgers are dry and overcooked with no flavor. I did enjoy the decor. Service was alright, but you do half of it yourself by ordering at the register and getting your own drinks.
