WOW! Buckeye overload.I discern that you can buy OSU fan t shirts anywhere for the game or the season. But if you want quality gear that will last longer than a season... it's here. I was that guy who picked up a shirt or jersey in a department store or grocery. I've been in BC several times to get a specific gift for someone, but always balked at the prices. Here's why I'm here today....Another game on tv, another jab at my brother from mom. "He bought me a jersey 8 years ago that was too big. I gave it back to him to get another smaller size. Never did." That is just mama guilt that every child is aware of. The reality is, she wore the shirt tucked in for 2 years, then gave it back to him. There's no 2 year return policy. Enough was enough.Next day, mom and I were on the journey for the jersey that fit her. No way was I chancing an online purchase without her trying it on. Kohls- no jerseys. Macys- 14 total jerseys to sell. Dicks- Lots to choose from, but not her size. By now I'm hearing about her disdain for the women's fit for women's jerseys. Now we are here at BC. Minutes before noon opening and there is a crowd outside. We see the custom made jerseys through the window. When the store opens, I pull her from custom to the wall to find the proper fit first. We had great customer service in getting unreachable items down, and the search for a size. Finally it's a Youth XL. Not a popular stocked item in most stores. Now for the number.**Did you know that OSU has a contract with Nike that they can only print two jersey numbers a year? This year it's #1 and #17. One number will always the year(#17). Here's the stumble. Plenty of great player jersey's hanging up for sale labeled as "Throw-backs" for a premium price. Ok so we can just get what we want custom. We move over to get her a custom Youth XL. "What would you like on it?" Uh oh. She is unprepared. A quick google/police report/wikipedia search gives her a decision. #27."OK, what name on the back?" You are restricted from any player name or trademark. She wanted no name at all, only to be told it is required. Even OH IO, is trademarked as a firm NO.Oh it's been a long enough journey. Please make it stop. She has chosen. Yes. we are done!Nope...........She does not have a Youth XL jersey. Really? Wasn't that the first thing I said?Back to the rack. "17 or 1 mom?"Only red jersey choice is #1. Try it it on. Fits? Relief.I take the opportunity while there to ask mom to pick out some T shirts for Christmas gifts. Good sale on good quality. Now I'm in line and it's much shorter now that all that opening crowd of shoppers and returns has left. "Do you have a rewards membership?" No. They offer a first tier of pay a fee, get some percentage off. They offer a second tier of pay a larger fee, get a another percentage off. Take note that the tier has a very limited life."Do you offer a Military discount?" NO"Do you offer a Senior discount?" NO"Do you accept ApplePay?" NOMark my items on receipt as Christmas gifts. The merchandise is of higher quality, and you must pay for it. The selection here is everything for the true Buckeye Fan. I think that going forward I will give gift certificate gifts for this store. I think a fan would enjoy this visit more than just a shopper would.

I have been a regular customer at the Buckeye Corner on Lane Avenue for years. Usually when I shop at BC I am going in to search for something specific but I was out at Easton for a movie with a little time to kill and thought I would stop in to see if they had any good sales or something that struck my eye.You would think that any store that is at easton would have more than two employees on the floor working on Friday evening. In twenty minutes in the store I think I saw two workers and around 10-12 customers at any given time. As I wandered the store I was never greeted, addressed, or had any interaction with any employee. I suppose if I had a question or was look for something in particular I could have sought someone out.As a store the Buckeye Corner has everything that Ohio State can license a logo onto; clothes, kitchenitems, stuff for the bathroom and bed room, pet supplies, games, hats, memorabilia, posters, gloves, jackets, jewlery, helmets, Nike, Cutter & Buck, and much, much more. The only store in Columbus that may more Ohio State is Conrads on Lane Avenue. The store itself was fairly clean and organized. I had a sweatshirt I was going to buy but upon getting to the register I found the shirt size ws different than what was listed on the hanger. I went back to the rack and saw three mediums on the register and a small and two larges by the tags. If you are going to have sizes on the hangers, make sure they mach the size of the article of clothing. As a whole the Buckeye corner prices are on the high side and slightly cheaper than what you will get in the team shops on game day. They have a great selection of items but for value I like to go to College Traditions on Lane. At the same time I would say that they carry, stock, and sell high quality items for men, women, children, your home, office, car, and more.

Great place for Buckeye gear. It is pricy on some things but overall they have a wide selection. They also have collectables and other items too. Staff is helpful and friendly. The store is often cluttered and almost always crowded on Fridays during football season. Shop early and online for any Christmas gifts because they often run out of items and/or things go on back order.

While I admit that I never miss an opportunity to stop here when I go to Easton, that doesn't mean I am overly impressed every time I leave the store.Yes, I'm going to get Ohio State gear when I shop at this store--and I can find a decent selection of it here; however, their selection and merchandise quality has gone downhill, and they've also somehow acquired (at least apparently, anyway) the official Ohio State Teamshop and have flanderized it, too. It's amazing that I can go on campus to the Ohio Union to find things the Buckeye Corner doesn't carry, or as I was once told by a Buckeye Corner employee, "don't exist." I searched until October of last year for the quarter-zip Urban Meyer wore to his Tuesday pressers and the Buckeye Corner told me it was a lost cause because you'd never see it in stores. Turns out, I not only saw it at the Ohio Union--I BOUGHT it as well. This place has a mixture of cool employees and bad ones, and the bad employees don't even bother to help you find a size--they just tell you they don't have it. I guess I can understand that they probably would rather not be working retail, but there's still no reason why they choose to be as lazy as they are at times.Again, as I mentioned earlier, the selection is just going downhill, and I KNOW they don't get the foot traffic during the summer that they would during the season or holidays--so, to me, if they put a product up on their website, they should have it in the stores. On several occasions, I've seen products listed online, only to be taken down days later and never mentioned again. Fortunately, I've found them on my own.In conclusion: yes, you'll find Ohio State gear and will more than likely get you want from Buckeye Corner, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a relatively less-than-stellar company whose staff knows you're going to pay their "convenience fee" to support your team. Do I recommend it? What other choice do you have if you want your Buckeye gear immediately? The 10 percent discount is acceptable, but this group really needs to face more competition from The Buckeye Room or find some other kind of spark to make it step up its game.

Thank you Buckeye Corner for ruining my wife's day. If I could give half a star, I would. A full star is way to generous for the customer service we received today (or the lack of, to be concise.)My wife ordered 2 OSU Hockey shirts online, as the store did not have the correct sizes, for herself and my son. She ordered these on a Monday and 11 days later ( a friday) was sent an e-mail that they have arrived and could be picked up at the Easton store. Today (a Saturday) we went to pick up said shirts. When she asked for the order, after what seemed a half-hearted search, the associate stated they didn't have it. When we asked the assistant manager for help my wife was told that "they have no control over e-mails and that corporate will send emails even though the goods have not been sent." After being irritated and receiving no clear solution for the problem, my wife decided that the product was not worth the hassle and asked for her money back. We were then told, by this assistant manager, that they couldn't do that and they couldn't even look up her order. We left the store deeply dissatisfied. My wife then called the number she received in her e-mail and received the only decent customer service out of this whole ordeal. Sarah took the time to research the problem, confirmed our order, and then confirmed that the store did, indeed, receive our order and was awaiting pickup. Actually the store signed for the order a full 3 days before we arrived to pick it up. Sarah told us the store would go and find the order and have the store manager call us when found. A half hour later the store called for us to pick up. We we came back to the store we asked for the shirts and the associates announced quite loudly, " hey it's the lady for the shirts!" We were given the shirts with no apology or acknowledgement of the trouble we went through. On our way out of the store, an associate called out, that seemed sarcastic to me, "have a nice day."I believe the associates should go through, at the very least, a customer service re-training. If this is how they treat their customers, it's a shame that something this shoddy is associated with something as great as OSU.

I love stopping by The Buckeye Corner whenever I pass through Columbus, OH. Since I don't live in the state, I can't always get my Buckeye gear. The Buckeye Corner offers so many options, it's great just to look around. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They no longer have the alumni discount, but now that they were bought out by Lids, you can sign up for the Lids program and get a discount through that program. Added benefit of being owned by Lids - I can order things online and have it shipped free to the closest Lids store to me in Atlanta, GA. This is a big deal for me because I can't always get to Columbus.

Great selection of Ohio State gear. During a trip to Columbus I purchased a jacket for my daughter - when I got home she tried it on and it was 4" too short in the sleeves. Next day I called the store, I had the receipt -- and wanted to know where to mail it. They said they do not take returns my mail. Given I live in Colorado - I'm screwed. What a customer unfriendly policy!

Stopped in today when in town. While there were five employees working they were more concerned with goofing off with each other they couldn't be bothered to assist the customers in the store. Pathetic. Glad Conrad's still knows what good customer service is. We only make it Columbus once or twice a year. Wish Buckeye corner realized customer service matters!!
