Buckeye Asian Express

Oh my goodness. I've been meaning to stop in for months, and happened to be nearby at lunchtime. Looks small, and it is small. There is a table and a couple of chairs, but they are house-style furniture, meant more for waiting than dining in, and were covered with an in-progress puzzle surely meant at least partly to dissuade potential non-carryout customers. Big menu, with lots of interesting items. Several Malaysian dishes, fairly rare in town, so I tried one, mee goreng. Fried noodles in a curryish sauce, with a moderate heat that builds. I got beef; there are other proteins. Very tasty. Big portion for $8 at lunch. Tender slices of beef, flavorful sauce, a few green onions and some lettuce on top making a futile stab at healthiness. Cheap. Great. And fast! I figured I really should have called my order in (no web ordering,) but wanted to check the place out and maybe eat there. But though the owners were busy, cooking and prepping deliveries, I got my food in about 5 minutes. I had asked for summer rolls but she said they would take awhile, made from scratch, with the other stuff they had in the pipeline, so I did pass on those. But lunch at almost noon on a weekday in 5 minutes, for $8, for plenty of tasty food? I'm in.Parking is weird, of course, right along the street but perpendicular. Be careful backing out- because of the street, and a light pole. If I lived nearby I'd be here a lot. I'll be back.

Another great lunch for the office. It's right down the street from our office and it's easy for us to come pick up. They are super nice when ordering and easy. One of our favorite dishes is the jalapeños chicken and it's super spicy! I decided to go a different route and choose the Cajun spicy chicken. It defiantly had a good Cajun kick and was extra spicy! Sometimes it's too spicy, so it add the rice and jt helps cool it down. Portion size is very filling, and you can also choose no rice as well. This spot is always a go to if you're feeling good Chinese food!

Ordered the bourbon chicken. The chicken was good but there was no bourbon sauce on there at all.

Buckeye Asian Express is a pretty average Chinese place. I like picking up orders here. The food is not too bad and it's not too expensive. Convenient if in a hurry. This is a small place and there are no tables inside, so it is only carryout. I ordered the tofu at lunchtime, and it was not too busy. It has a limited amount of vegetarian items. The lunch prices are about $6 to $7. It's a good value for the amount there is. The order was hot and steaming as the container was opened. There were plenty of tofu and vegetables. It has no tables inside. You will have to get it delivered or takeout. I think Buckeye Asian Express is a good choice if you're not too choosy. It has some choices for vegetarians though not too many. This is okay if you live close and want something brought to you.

I've been looking for Malaysian food, specifically char kway teow, in Columbus for quite a while now. This place has finally filled that void. As for the char kway teow, they serve a very generous portion and the quality is good. I can't wait to come back to try the Malaysian style chicken curry and the Chiangmai noodles!

I really hate to write this review because I love this place and have been ordering from them for years, at least once a month. The last couple of times I've found chicken in my veggie egg rolls. Again today I found chicken in them and decided to call back in. When I told them they were chicken egg rolls (and not vegetable), they said they were out of veggie egg rolls and gave you chicken. When I said you really should not do that, crickets on the other end (not even offer of refund). Won't be ordering for the them again

Horrible!!! Literally "1" piece of broccoli in the bourbon chicken! Crab Rangoon taste old and spoiled bit into one and it tasted like old spoiled cabbage and wall plaster fried chicken was burnt and dried out chicken fried rice had absolutely no flavor

Stopped in for lunch and tried the Malaysian chicken curry (extra spicy) and it was absolutely fab. Great portion and even better flavor. For less than 8 bucks what can I say except I will be back for this friendly and fast service joint. Such a cute little spot!

Worst, most dry chicken I've ever eaten.Burnt food from the freezer. Might as well get frozen pf chang's from store 100 times better. Do not go here

JUST NASTYwe got 5 different meals and shared and we ordered pizza this was the worst food any of ever had, they wont stay in business long.
