Bucci’s Italian Scratch Kitchen

This was an average Italian restaurant. The spaghetti with a meatball was good but the ravioli was very dry and a bit too salty. Ordered a negroni and it was met with some confusion to make sure they had all the ingredients to make it. It was made but ultimately tasted a bit off. The interior of the restaurant was very nice and our server was outstanding. If we were to find ourselves in Marion again I doubt we'd go back.

We were in Marion for a wedding and the venue we were at is directly attached to Bucci's. My daughter heard about the restaurant and how the head chef was highly rated, so we decided to give it a go. Glad we did.It's located in the old Marion train station, and has kept the old school theme in the decor. So cool.But the highlight for me was the lasagna. Oh my!The pasta was so perfect! The cheese was proportional to what I personally expect, and the waitress was prepared to grind a mountain of additional Parmesan cheese as needed. You could taste that this was not some run-of-the-mill lasagna, the flavor was too fresh and original. Perfectly select brunch buffet. While not ridiculously large, the Sunday brunch offers the perfect moments. A breakfast pizza with creamy eggs and Italian sausage was so satisfying. The salad options, perfect. And the French toast and homemade soups hit all the right notes. Great for large groups and our family of three. Nice. Mellow. Delicious.

Nice restaurant atmosphere. We had a new waiter that had only been there for 6 days so service was okay but he needs a little practice. Kept asking if he could repeat our order left. The table came back repeated order again. I understand we all have to learn but it was at 5:00 and they were not very busy. The food was okay. Rather disappointed with all the hype on Facebook. My risotto with my short ribs was like sticky rice. My brussel sprouts were cooked to a crisp. Just basically an empty shell. Lasagna wasn't any different than when I could make it home. My husband ate it but nothing to shout about. Went for our anniversary dinner and left a little deflated. Good food but pricey for the quality.

My husband and his brother and I went to Buccis and they were busy so we sat at the bar and had the best appetizers and entrees and service! We stayed for the Beatles tribute band and had a great time.

Since my initial review I have since visited the restaurant several more times and each time the food and service have been top notch. The lasagna and chicken parmesan have become favorites, as well as the dragon fruit and pomegranate cocktails on the menu. I have dined with both friends and family on numerous occasions and participated in a couple of events (trivia night and lectures on tap) and have never left hungry or disappointed. A community gem for sure!

don't go to Bucci when they are having a showI waited 2 hours ( including the show) without any service for foodmanagement blames lack of servers but I think they shouldn't cut their staff so low that when 1 person (or maybe a couple more) doesn't show. the whole thing falls apart

We went w/friends Service was good, atmosphere is good food was meh. Sorry to say Alfredo pasta w/chicken good flavor too dry. Could easily used some more sauce. GF pizza crust was not great, toppings were good. Brownie dessert was perfect. Will think twice before going back.

Everything was top notch!! Started with Aperol Spritz and smoked Old fashion. Had the meatball appetizer. Lasagna and a short rib that were the best we ever had! Definitely will recommend and return!

The food is slightly better than a fast casual restaurant. It's definitely not authentic Italian. I order arancini for an appetizer. It tasted like it was made 3 days ago. My penne with sausage was terrible. They added 5 tiny sliced pizza sausage pieces to the pasta. The penne was dry and bland. The salted caramel cheesecake was old and tasteless. I really wanted to like this meal--it was my third try. Strike out. Never again.
