Brookshire Event Venue

I had an New Years Eve wedding here to attend and it was an amazing time!! The staff did awesome organizing everything, seem well prepared! The venue was very beautiful and I would definitely recommend this place! What a great night for the couple!

While the property, decorations and space was great, the staff/company was NOT. Possibly 2-3 of the staff out of 10+ had smiles on their faces, were kind and looked happy to be there. The bartender was pleasant but not knowledgeable on simple drinks. I baked several dozen cookies for the weddings cookie table and they were never set out. Once cookies were gone, additional ones that were taken to the kitchen were never brought back out and the leftovers were not given back at the end of the night. Despite a staff member stating they announced the "slider bar" (which was to be later in the evening while dancing), numerous guests stated they never heard this. Lastly, the bar closed 30 minutes prior to the wedding ending and there was no announcement made to inform the guests or a "last call". Definitely would not recommend this establishment. High priced venue for a low quality experience.

I came here for the first time on Saturday to do the rehearsal for my cousins wedding. It was such an cute and elegant venue with a nice layout of everything. It allows you to do inside or outdoor weddings. My cousin did the outdoor wedding she had been dreaming of. The day was absolutely perfect the day of the wedding. It wasn't too hot or cold. It was perfect fall weather with clear skies and sunny. Most of the family from both sides showed up which was awesome. The whole day from beginning to end ran so smoothly. I didn't see any issues and everyone was genuinely having fun. The decor was pretty, music was great, lighting was perfect, and the cake and food tasted great along with the alcohol. I'd definitely recommend anyone to have a wedding here. It was such a pleasant experience.

How bad is it? Well, I made a Yelp account just to write this review. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. After being reassured time and time again that bringing a number of drinks was acceptable, as we brought them in we were notified that that was not acceptable. Throughout the event, the coordinator kept rudely reminding us how much time we had left - as if we can't read the time! They kept giving us the wrong password for the internet (which was needed for the DJ to keep playing music) and after hours of insisting they finally gave us the correct internet information.Weddings and engagements are meant to be times of celebration to remember, even for the busy family members who take time out of their day to organize the event. Instead, every family member (myself included) who dealt with this venue will have a cloud hanging over an otherwise happy memory.

Just left a wedding here. Could not have been prettier. Quaint room. Sort of country chic. Food was delicious and had a unique twist to ordinary. Staff was professional, quick, accomadating and unobtrusive. Simply lovely.

We just got married here & had a wonderful experience with the venue & staff! Thank you for taking so much of the stress out of the event! Everything was clearly discussed in meetings & the contract. Atmosphere and food was great!

Food was good. Very lovely place. Dj was great. Coordinate that had been dealt with the whole time was not the person that was there on wedding day. That's why I gave three stars.

The venue was absolutely gorgeous but the staff wasn't great. Servers were friendly and brought out cocktail snacks so no complaints there. The wedding planner was not ready. There were people arriving and the gate was locked for the ceremony location and no sign to direct guests where to go. One guest arrived 15 minutes before start time and gate was locked. There was a sign but it was placed in the wrong spot. Some guests arrived 15 minutes before start time and were lost due to the confusion. We had a bottle to get ready and groomsmen had beers to calm the nerves and it was taken away and dumped down the drain in a rude manor. I understand no outside alcohol was allowed but it's pretty normal for the bridal party to drink while getting ready. Also we could have been advised to put our drinks away instead of dumping it down the drain. The bartender was rude and had an attitude while serving. We reserved the venue until 10:30 and we were kicked out at 10 woth a cold switch to lights on and chairs being stacked on table while guests were still in the venue. The bar shut down 30-60 minutes prior to 10 even though we didn't request this nor were we advised this. It was very frustrating for us and the guests to enjoy due to the staff.

If you have any doubts about booking at Brookshire, forget them and book now. Our experience with them well surpassed our expectations. The coordinators were exceptional and put in extra effort to make our day perfect even when it did not increase the price. On the wedding day they were very attentive - I was never without a drink in my hand and we were guided through every step of the day. The DJ was great! He gathered our song requests in a friendly way despite our procrastination. He gives the couple the ability to decide everything, like whether to take requests or not. All of our guests loved their experience there, we could not be more pleased, and I highly recommend you chose them too. The venue is beautiful, the staff is excellent, the food is good, and they seem to actually care about the couple, not just the money.

Staff was so unhelpful and rude, there is a standard of customer service in this country and they failed to meet by all accounts. Not even a smile from staff member. Absolutely ridiculous that the guest internet didn't work not even to download a song to add to the DJ and when we asked for password to the main WiFi account and still couldn't get it to work, this is 2018, stuff like this should work without a hitch.
