Broke Johnny Food Truck

We saw Broke Johnny's at the farmers market and decided to try some new-to-us menu items: the pesto chicken sandwich, the fried chicken waffle, and the potato wedges. We also got a side order of the chorizo, because that was excellent at previous visit. The staff taking our order was so friendly and offered to put the chorizo directly on the potato wedges. We kept it separate since we were sharing, but great idea!The pesto chicken sandwich was very good overall. Great blend of flavors, colorful, and tasty. The one thing that would have improved it is that the chicken was burnt in some places and had to be cut off, which made it more of a fork and knife effort than being able to eat it as a sandwich.The fried chicken waffle is exactly as it sounds: it came with several pieces of tasty chicken and a large Belgian waffle at the bottom. A container of syrup was included. The chicken was the favorite part from this. The potato wedges were another favorite - great texture and taste! The chorizo remains a favorite, both when eaten hot and fresh and when repurposing the leftovers.

You get what you expect. No frills. Just helping make Brooke Johnny not so broke by eating his good food. Nothing bad to say about it.

This breakfast for dinner hit the spot! I ordered the Green Eggs & Ham Sandwich which came with a side of wedge fries. The sandwich surpassed my expectations! The pesto mayo and arugula tasted so good with the ham/egg combo. The English muffin was toasted and almost tasted like there was bacon on the sandwich. So yummy! The wedge fries were crunchy, salty, and plentiful. I was so stuffed that I couldn't finish all the fries. I had no problems ordering and had a very little wait time. Great food truck experience!

This food truck looked interested. However I think their menu is off. Mole and Waffles, Breakfast Burrito, Huevos Rancheros and random a Pesto Chicken Sandwich. Where did that even come from? I'm confused. I ordered chicken and waffles, a simple meal for $9. However the waffles had more of a cornbread taste. I did not enjoy it, so I hoping the chicken would be tasty. I don't understand the concept of chicken and waffles with tenders instead of a chicken breast or thigh but that seems to be common these days. The chicken tenders were tasteless. I can tell they made an attempt to season it but nonetheless it wasn't worth it. I wasn't of fan of the generic Smuckers syrup and no butter for the waffle. They other items looked okay. I may skip this food truck next time it comes around.

Amazing! We had their Mole Fries w Chorizo! So very good! We all devoured those fries! The guys in the truck were very easy going and nice, very professional! They weren't rude in the least!

Start with rude service. Made rude comments to fat people.Chorizo tostadas boat had a 1/4 of fat in the bottom. The tostadas where soaked in fat to the point of being unable to hold shape.The wedge fries where uninteresting.Just bad food and bad service.

Food was yummy. However the guy working in the truck was extremely rude to all of our guests, including management. Our customers complained to us about his attitude. We are requesting that they not return to our community through the Street Finder App. This was a very disappointing experience, the man working was very aggressive and condescending. Just read through other reviews that state the same feedback, so clearly this is nothing new to this company.

Rude service, terrible burrito. We were their last order of the night. I ordered the breakfast burrito and one of the guys loitering around in the truck scoffs like I just ordered a 3 course meal or something. I get my $12 burrito, leave a tip. I look at the guy handing me my food and go "have a nice night." Guy looks me stone cold in the eye and doesn't say a word. Sick.Anyway, I took a bite of the burrito, and the tortilla was soft as hell, they couldn't be bothered to grill it at all. It had bacon in it, according to the menu. I couldn't really taste it. It had way too many onions and arugula.My date took a bite and the bottom burst open with liquid fat. Thing was literally dripping. Tasted alright. My date asked me to rate it. Genuinely a 3/10.Bad experience.

Not sure if he was the owner but the person working on 4/24 was extremely rude! Had a couple questions about the menu but the way he reacted and responded wasn't welcoming! Stay away!
