Brenz Pizza - New Albany

I love pizza. My wife loves pizza. Except we like different pizzas. Well, same toppings, but different crusts, different sauces, etc. So we haven't agreed yet on a northeast Columbus pizzeria yet. Til now, y'all. This might just be it.We got a 14" Classic for takeout. They said 15 minutes, it took 20 during a busy time. I got to see five minutes of customers flying in the door on their way home, obviously tired after a hard day's work, and then out again carrying a za or two. A lot of customers. They're busy, but seem to be able to handle the orders just fine. Kudos, all y'all.Rolled home to EAT. Had to unfairly smell the deliciousness sitting on the passenger seat without sampling, because of lots of tired drivers on their way home from work yadda yadda on Madison. No eating, lest I crash. Bad.My wife was pleased to see the pizza. Maybe me, too, but definitely the pizza. It was pretty dang delicious. Sausage was wonderful. There were enough mushrooms and it wasn't overly green peppered. Either the juicy pepperoni or the saucy sauce was just a little spicy, just right for both of us. The yummy, very slightly sweet crust was not too thin, not too thick, and not at all soggy. Which was a good thing, because as several reviewers mentioned, the goodies tended to decrease in density the closer to the edge we munched. That is, since the crust was delicious, it stood almost on its own without much Stuff on top. At least two reviewers were disappointed that Brenz slices their pies in squares instead of wedges. If that's your worst complaint, well, ok. I didn't taste the difference. Spotless store, friendly help. I thought the value was good: the 14" was enough for two - ahem - mature - people for dinner and lunch the next day. And it was excellent cold.Go there. Something my wife and I both agree on.

This is the second time we went to Brenz Pizza. Still super clean shop. Lots of selections to choose from. The first time we came, we got the Honey Heritage Pizza, and I swore I wasn't going to order it again, but guess what... I did!This pizza was very similar to the first time: same great medium crust-soft, not overly doughy and had a great crisp to it. Red sauce has a nice flavor to it, on the sweet side. Lots of sausage and pepperoni. Fresh cut basil and big dollops of ricotta, yum. Honey not taking over the pizza. Flavor sale:A- What I didn't like: same as the last time. Sauce and cheese was very heavy distributed in the middle and more sparse as it makes it was to the perimeter of the pizza. There were a few areas where there was no cheese ... just baked in tomato sauce. We all commented about how odd it was for slices to be square for this type of pizza. We all felt this pizza would benefit from being presented as triangular pie like slices vs party square cuts. Its very messy to eat this when it is cut square, especially the super yummy (but messy) inner middle pieces that have a ton of sauce and ricotta on them. If you had triangular slices-the crust would act like a handle -messy problem is eliminated.

We order takeout from brenz and hoooney!! Let me tell you how good that pizza is! Now I will say it's a bit on the pricy side but definitely worth it. The ingredients are fresh, the flavor combinations are amazing, and the service is fast and friendly!

We loved their pizza! We had it at a family member's house for a post Thanksgiving carry out dinner, so I can't speak to the service or ambiance. I love the thicker crust and the amount of toppings on an all-the-way pizza. They also slice the pizza to your preference, squares or triangles! We had several different pizzas, but I stuck with all-the-way because it was just so darned good. We will be buying pizza here the next time we're in a pizza kinda mood!

Out cruising today and decided to check Brenz Pizza in New Albany out. Ordered a small Pepperoni Pizza. They opened last November. Talked with Adam about the operation. He said that dough is made fresh daily. All vegetables are brought in fresh from their suppliers, no frozen vegetables. They're cut up once they are in the store. On to the pizza. It was cooked perfectly for me, slight crispy to the crust. The sauce had the slightest spicy taste to it which was perfect. Nice mild cheese and the pepperoni was a nice addition cup and char type. Might be Ezzo's, not sure. Good experience, will definitely return. Everyone needs to check them out.

Brenz is our local pizza place whenever we want takeout pizza, and we love it! Service is always really quick. My fiancé and I often order our pie, head next door to Joe's for a quick drink, and usually after just one drink it's ready! It's always hot and yummy, and I like how easy they make it to customize your toppings. This is extremely random, but I also like how they cut their pizza in squares instead of in pie-shaped slices. I get that it's weird, but I like eating pizza squares better than slices, I can't explain it lol. Make sure you ask for the garlic sauce on the side if you order a pizza! We have also tried the wings on a few occasions, and they do really fantastic wings for a pizza place in my opinion. Their wings seem high quality and have a lot of meat on them. Overall definitely a good place for a takeout pie if you're in the area!

Nice to have another decent pizza place in the area. Very clean and very efficient service. Tonight was my first time trying their pie. Ordered a Heritage Honey+, which was good. However, don't think I will get it next time (I have another place for hot honey). I also would like to try some of their other specialty pies. The 12 inch pie was about 18.50. They also have limited seating inside if you care to eat in. Definitely worth trying if you want something different and good.

Best pizza in Columbus, hands down!! Fast, friendly service and the PIZZA'S AMAZING!!

ordered pizza and salad via door dash. didn't get salad but Brenz wouldn't refund cost of it due to third party pick up even tho driver was only given the pizza! won't be ordering from either of them again

I expanded my search area from Gahanna and saw this place. Great for a game day pickup order. Friendly staff. Fantastic pizza.
