I found this great color-block window panel at Boomerang
Groovy stuff like this all the time.
Vignettes are well merchandised.
Great early 1960s window display.
Colorful.
I remember watching TVs that looked like that as a small child.

This store is a wonderful place to shop for vintage furniture that is in great condition. Sometimes they're even open to negotiation! But aside from the furniture, they have a ton of fun little trinkets and vintage clothing! When you walk in here it's like walking straight into the sixties/seventies. And I never ceased to be amazed by the amount of items available in such a small space.

A carefully curated mid century modern shop. The stuff in here is amazing. Everything is in fantastic condition and is styled such that you feel like you stepped back into the 1960s. Even the music is period so as I was shopping I felt a little like I was in a tv show or movie- it was surreal. (Esp because I was born in the 80s ;)) However, for me I didn't find anything to take home, and I think it was because the prices were a little beyond what I felt comfortable with. For example- there was a jadeite Bowl in the front display case, and it was priced at double what I paid for the exact same one the day before at the Country Living fair. There were also two other smaller bowls marked jadeite but I don't think they were... and in the back was a statue marked $16 and I have a similar one I rescued for half that in Maryland. In fairness I'm not from Ohio so I don't know what the market will bear and I don't love all mid century modern I tend to like some of it... But the store is immaculate, and all the items are immaculate- and that doesn't come cheap. For example- I saw a pristine teal blue sofa set- two chairs, a large sofa and a loveseat in better condition than some new couches I've seen in show rooms. And a hanging silk Hollywood regency lamp that was delightful. And some of those little plastic serving dishes that are so hard to come by...I think I would come here if I was looking for something in particular from the 60s or 70s. Or if I was shopping with a friend looking for high quality authentic mid century modern furniture.

Boomerang specializes in Western furnishings and fixtures created between VJ-Day and the JFK's assassination--that is Mid 20th century--the classic retro style that never goes out of favor as a retro. The place where a Jackson Pollack poster is a must ( they have one); a stack of vinyl, Egg chairs, Knolls, chrome framed, cubic designs, primary colors bright are unsurprisingly found here. It's as if you drifted into a James Bond film, Roger Stirling's office, the Mystery Mobile. They merchandise the place more as a decor/furniture store than an antique spot. Furniture is the main draw, with a host of 1950s/60s trinkets and stash glittering near the walls. They deftly coordinate their suits in vignettes, grouping pieces by type, matching colors, and shape much like an interior decorator would. The wares here, used as they are, seemed already restored. Unlike the treasure hunt fun of a random clutter type antique dumps, or the raw pickings of a Sanford & Sons like cluster-folk store, here the items are readymade to use. Again, like a furniture store--the inventory is clean, painted, and fluffed. The store spanning two rooms is spacey and has an amazing selection of memorabilia. Boomerang is a good stop while looking for gifts, finds, or inspiration. On the downside they are more geared towards the sophisticated consumer than the sophisticated shopper; too often I find a knick-knack or a kitchenware that's three or four times the price I could find it at a second hand store. But for the most part this is a must for any Mid Century Modern lovers out there. You'll find yourself coming back again and again like some kind stick that keeps coming back when you throw it.

This is a very fun store! It's a smaller space, but packed with a variety of really neat vintage furniture, decor, clothing, and more. They have a nice selection of mid-century modern goodies, which was what led to our visit. Despite being in search for mcm furniture in particular, we spent quite awhile checking out the neat art pieces, little collections of objects like telephones and cameras, even magazines from the 50s-60s. If you are interested in vintage stuff, particularly from mcm/art deco type periods, this is a great place to check out. Also, if you find something large to purchase, they do offer delivery for a very reasonable price if you can't/don't want to pick up yourself. The owners are really friendly and easy going so just let them know what you're looking for and they'll try to help you out.

What sets Boomerang Room Vintage apart from the other vintage/antique shops along the same section of High Street is the vibe of the place. I could be at the garage sale of an aunt or uncle. I found a plaid tartan thermos set with a matching case that could've belonged to my parents in the 70s.

The Boomerang Room is a cool little antique shop in Clintonville next to Sobo Style. Up until a few months ago it was under different ownership and had a different name (which I can't remember). Though the new owners have expanded the shop, the store's style hasn't changed much. It deals mostly in vintage furniture and housewares -- mid-century modern stuff. It's the kind of place that you can find that 1950s cake plate you've been looking for or the '70s-era couch that's been on your mind. The owners are more than helpful, going out of their way to check on items I was looking for. Prices are more reasonable than at some comparable stores in this neighborhood. And rumor is they'll be carrying records soon. I can't wait.

I'm visiting from Allentown, PA and just got back from this place. I had the best experience ever! They have such a great selection of modern / mid-century furniture for such reasonable prices. I fell in love with so many pieces and I couldn't believe how reasonably priced the sideboards were. In the back she had an amazing record player that I wish I could have taken home with me. Along side the record player was a nice little section of records which I ended picking up one along with a star burst broach as a present.I have been to a lot of different antique places and this one was such a nice find. If your style is modern / kitschy, then I recommend checking this place out! Plus, the owner is super friendly and answered all of my questions.

There is a tendency for thrift stores in C-bus to start out pretty good, but eventually start adding more and more stuff that's, well, not so much "vintage/retro" as just "smelly/old/creepy". I applaud Boomerang Room for not following that trend. This is easily one of the best curated vintage stores in C-bus that I'm aware of, and I'll drop by to take a look around whenever I'm in the area. Lots of Mid-Century goodies at different price points. While nothing there is dirt cheap (if you want dirt cheap, I suggest Goodwill), the pricing is very reasonable and I didn't see anything that made me think "holy overpricing Batman". Which is rare, super rare.So if you're in the market for vintage home goods, records, or kitschy stuff in general, and Mid-Century is your thang, definitely give Boomerang a looksee.

Lots of interesting pieces in this shop. The signage and items for sale such as bikes and furniture outside are eye catching to anyone passing by. A little too pricey for me. But you can find some cool decor. Large and small pieces. More vintage than antique which is nice. I would like to see more retro entertainment memorabilia and less old wood furniture. Also more competitive prices. Collectors these days base every purchase they make off eBay prices.
