Average price for hospital food, but pretty decent selection. I got their Butternut Squash Flatbread. It was a bit dry so I some Cholula hot sauce. The sausage on it tasted like breakfast sausage which was a bit odd. Would try them again.

Hospital cafe with real food This cafe is located on the 14th floor of the new James Cancer Hospital building at the Ohio State medical center. I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean and orderly everything was. The entrees are cooked to order right in front of you and they also have grab and go options. I tried the Hummus as well as the chicken sandwich entree. The hummus did not taste out of a can but rather made in-house. It even had some spice going on. The chicken sandwich was tasty as well as the small arugula salad on the side of it. I am considering giving this place a 4, maybe if my next visit is just as good.

I've been here several times now, and I don't think I can keep it at 5 stars. For one thing, out of the 6-7 pancakes I've gotten, two have been what I'd consider burnt. Also tried a soup that was well below average. And they also recently raised some prices. But I do still think they make a lot of great food, and will be back.

I love the Bloch! The food is always restaurant quality with Cafe pricing. The portions are perfect for no leftovers but feeling full. Their daily specials are always novel and exciting for me. I also appreciate the accommodations they are willing to make for me as I can't eat dairy. The seating space is doubled in the summer (outside and inside) but it can be quite tight during busy times in the winter. If I could justify eating out every day, I would come here 9/10 times.

The food is delicious, but the cooking needs to be restructured or the kitchen needs to be expanded. I came here in the morning and waited over 40 minutes for a breakfast sandwich with eggs (and there was no line when I ordered). Apparently, they get very backed up because there are only a couple people cooking. I'm not sure how hospital employees have time to eat here. This isn't the first occurrence of an unreasonable wait time for simple eggs.

This cafe offers the best food in the Wexner Medical Center. Pancakes are massive and very good on a budget, the chicken tikka masala was great as well. I appreciate the healthy quality food on a rotating menu so I never get bored of the options available.

I was very much between a 3 and a 4 here, but due to portion size they get a 3.I came In At 11:30 and it was not too crowded, our order was promptly taken as soon as we walked in and done in about 5 minutes. It's a cozy seating set up in there with tables sometimes reserved. Space is tight that's for sure. If you order to dine in they will walk the food out to you. Very big heavy silverware and real napkins. It's cool fun and novelty.I got the turkey brie and mixed berry panini. It was good, a bit small, but the bread was great. The berries were clearly real as I felt the seeds. And the turkey was as if it had been roasted and pulled apart. Nothing sliced from a package here!It came with a side arugula salad with balsamic vinegar, which was nice. They have fruit Infused water but I couldn't justify the money- regardless it looked good.I feel like they need more side options. Like a pasta salad or fruit cups etc. The sandwich and a side would be a good portion, but to do that (like getting half a soup) your options are limited and it will be costly. In summary, If you're not starving and you would like to feel a bit swanky without breaking the bank while dining at a hospital (a very specific occasion.) then this is a good choice.I will return if I see something good come up on their posted menu, but I won't make this a routine lunch spot.
