The BJ's off Hudson in New Albany
To pay thousands for an electric sign that shows your excellent pricing and then to use landscaping to restrict consumer view of that.

Reclining sectional only 1119.99. Good deal
Gas is pretty cheap here. Worth the membership fee.

A quick trip in for 3 things turned into a 45 min journey thru the warehouse. Yes, we came in for milk, toilet paper and trash bags. We left without trashbags. Without milk but two carts worth of other stuff that we just could NOT do without. Two pairs of jeans (cuz they are 19 bucks here) a fuzzy flannel that retails 129 but here is 22 bucks.... Berries, cereal, cheese (oh, so much cheese), bulk chicken to freeze and to eat this week (as its on sale) dish detergent and a bunch of other stuff. $270 and a trunk jam packed that took two carts to wheel out for what was intended on a trip for three things. I failed at sticking to my list. Miserably. Epic failure. But feel I got good deals for a bunch of stuff I didnt technically "need". So that is that. At least I didnt buy the sofa that was on sale. But I did think about it. (See picutre)

We got a deal on an annual membership so checked it out. Only been in once or twice since, and left without buying anything. Not renewing. Just not impressed- but we already have a Costco membership, so if you don't belong to a warehouse club already it might be a good option for you. Stopped in one last time to see if previous experiences were outliers. I just find the prices to be the same or higher than Costco, and often the same as any old grocery store. Today milk and eggs were the same (or more expensive) than Kroger. Very small prepared food section compared to Costco. Lots of clothes for little kids, but nothing up past size 7 that I saw. There were a few clearance things that had okay prices, but nothing else stood out. I got a bulk container of snacks, just because I wanted that particular thing, but almost left at checkout because the price was just not great. Service is fine. I like the aisle signage. They have smaller packages than Costco for some things, which works out better sometimes. Parking and access is good. Not busy at all at noon on a weekday; Costco is always busy and gets crazy at peak. Odd to see a store with so few customers and so many open checkout lanes. So, that's good for you getting in and out, but doesn't bode well for the company. It just doesn't work for us. Farther away than Costco, costs the same or more, doesn't have anything that makes it worth a special trip.

BJs seems more like a wannabe, but may neverbe kind of place. Quanity, and more importantly, Quality are LACKING in most depts. For example, The eyeglass dept. promotes "name brand frames", not one of which name was recognizable. Same for the clothing, most brands are unfamiliar and priced higher than other wholesalers. There is the recognizable $4.99 whole chicken but smaller in size. They do have deli and "event planning" depts. which can be seen as a plus.A really good deal is the $55 membership fee which includes a CREDIT OF $40 ON FIRST PURCHASE (time may be limited). Also the gas here is as cheap as you will find, like another wholesale place. Overall, 2.5 stars seems appropriate for this new to the area warehouse wholesale place. I would bet the best reason to come here instead of other warehouse stores is the location maybe closer for some.

I recently joined under the standard membership because there was an online discount (from $55 to only $20 for 1yr, and you can add 1 household member for free). Below are the pros and cons after my first visit to the New Albany location. Pros: -Quite possibly one of the best and largest cookies in Columbus (no, seriously) and it was only $1.50 for a cookie and a fountain drink special. -very clean store with friendly greeters and staff at the service desk -not too crowded (compared to Costco, I could actually breathe) -a great meat and deli section with lots of cuts and variety of products -BJs coupons can be combined with any manufacturer coupons -plenty of parking-membership price is great and ability to add another member for free Cons: -deals are not quite as good as Costco on most sale items/specials that were advertised -fewer brands offered overall than Costco (except deli/meat area)-no seating for the snack bar -small electronics section

I recently canceled my Costco membership and switched to BJ's instead. BJ's is a bit more chill than Costco, but the products are pretty similar. The membership prices are almost the same, and they offer gas discounts too. I also got the credit card that gives me an extra 15 cents off per gallon. The store location is great - it's easy to get in and out, even when it's packed. The quality of the products is usually good, depending on what you're looking for. And if you ever have any questions, the staff is super helpful. Oh, and the app is super convenient for shopping on the go.

As far as the wholesale clubs go I was impressed with what BJ's had to offer. BJ's has all the usual trappings of the Big Box Store: Massive new TVs, their own brands of popular products, bakery items, cases of toilet paper and water, cheaper gas then the places across the street.. all yours for an annualized membership fee.One big plus for me was that I didn't have to purchase a month supply of apples or lettuce if I wanted produce, they had smaller portion/quantities available. Priced well, good value. I will admit that the BJ's store brands that I have tried, Berkeley Jensen for non food and Wellsley Farms for food items, have all been good quality and are items I have or will purchase again. For me, it's just up the street so it's easier to get to than other warehouse clubs, but I'm becoming a believer and may not renew my "other" club membership.

Growing up in RI my parents had a BJ's membership and a year ago, when I saw one was being built in New Albany, I was so excited! My husband and I became members as soon as we could. We love the customer service associates at this location - everyone is so helpful and lovely to interact with. The baked items and prepared foods are quite good and the value of the wholesale products are absolutely worth a membership.

Much like Sam's and Costco, this is a big wholesale club for members only and this store is closest to my home. The gas station is great and offers lower gas prices than the Sheetz next door. With their credit card, it is even lower.I've shopped a couple of times, and there is a lot to see. I have purchased vitamins and supplements, winter boots, organic peanut butter, and clearance pj's (after Christmas sale). The staff seems to be quite friendly, and the prices are decent. I intend to use their optical dept. as well as check out the auto tires prices in the future. They also offer paper and digital coupons. They do have a lot of organic items, like Costco.

A warehouse grocery similar to Costco but a smaller scale. Convenient if you want smaller portions of groceries. Like you can request for smaller cuts of meats. Membership is $55/annually, but this doesn't include their discounted gas, for that you'd have to apply for their Capital One Matercard. I wouldn't give up on my Costco membership for this though.
