Berwick Pizza

*WINNER* WINNER* WINNER* PIZZA DINNER!!! Wowzers so worth the drive! We drove an hour to try this little pizza joint. Worth every mile. THIS pizza is beyond delightfully delicious. We had a half and half. Half crab rangoon Half pig mac. A feast for the eyes and the tummy!!! Customer service is phenomenal! AND this little joint used to be a bank. They even have seating in the vault :-). People's if you have a chance to try this pizza DO NOT PASS IT UP! Oh and they have great parking out back.

We found this place from a shared post on Facebook and drove the hour and 15 minutes to try it out. Well worth it!!! First time we went, we all tried different personal sized pizzas and two of the dessert pizzas. At that point, we knew we were hooked! The husband and I went back another time to try two more personal size favorites, and they were just as amazing. The staff is so incredibly friendly. Once the owner learned of our drive, he personally came out and chatted with us for quite some time. Everyone there is extremely friendly and eager to help. Will be back at least once a month to try their newest special.

Quite excellent Pizza sauce, homemade dough ! And pizza holds together ! Slightly sweet sauce is culinary delight of Marion County ! I'm Italian - I know ! This place understands pizza ! I'll be back , often !

This place is phenomenal. They also sell various snacks at the counter, so it's almost like a little grocery store. I first had Berwick Pizza in the press box at an Elgin football game--it quickly became my favorite. They have a great dessert pizza, too!

Disappointed!! Called several times and kept getting a recording saying they were experiencing a high volume of calls (how does that happen if you aren't answering the phone?) They suggested ordering online or calling back later. It was an hour before they closed. I order from there a few times a week. The item I order isn't listed on line. I would suggest if you are not going to answer the phone, you should update your online menu.Luckily I found another local establishment that answered the phone and actually wanted my business.

This place used to be good a few years ago, but the current owners are in need of a good Gordon Ramsay-ing or 3.They have way too many things on their menu and seem to add more items everytime I dare to enter. Because of this, their food tends to be lackluster or downright awful, though they do have a couple things they seem to kinda get right and tastes ok. Not only that, but they've got enough grocery-type items in there that I'm not sure if they're a restaurant trying to sell groceries, or a grocery store trying to sell food.Some days, though they've gotten better recently, it seemed like you waited longer for someone to come take your order than you did waiting for them to cook it and bring it out. We're talking 10~15 minutes waiting for them to come out and get your order; there's a bell on the door that signals your arrival.One more thing that irks me is the fact that they let their employees wear sandals while they're working. This has got to be some kind of health code violation or something. I wouldn't want to be the person who dropped a sub or pizza fresh out of the oven onto their feet.

This place has excellent pizza and salads. Owners are friendly and professional and the servers always greet you with a smile. I always enjoy my meals at the Berwick.
