a sandwich with a side of dips
It's a small, unassuming place. But an awesome, hidden gem...!!!
Mystery dessert, owner similar soup nazi from Seinfeld so I was too afraid to ask what it was

Updating my previous glowing review. Bazyan is still fabulous. This review is still glowing.I stopped in for some fresh bread. The nice lady behind the counter referred to the small pitas as "diamond" shaped, which makes sense. There is little in this world better than fresh pita bread straight out of the oven, and it's still phenomenal. I got some labna to spread on it. I prefer Ziyad brand. And this time I noticed they have fresh, housemade baba ghanouj and fresh, housemade tabouli in the counter case. Both were incredible. They also had housemaid halva - it was OMG good....The baker mentioned they do kebabs. Next time... soon... soon...For most of my friends on Yelp this would be an "out of your comfort zone" stop. Not because of the location on Bethel Road. But because it's a small, very tightly packed ethnic store where the shelves go almost up to the front door. Trust me, they're very nice people and very welcoming. The food is phenomenal- you just need to talk to the nice people behind the counter to see what they have.Go, just go... It'll be fun. I promise.

Best bread in the city of Columbus!! I love this place and frequently get the bread to use as a pizza shell for my children. Very friendly service and kind people work here. The ambiance is like something out of an Indiana Jones adventure with lots of interesting food for sale.

Pretty bare bones but has the absolute essentials and focus on fresh pita. Several unique desserts in the two cases. The guy working didn't really have the time of day for me, making me wait while he cooked some pita until coming out, then just really his lack of friendliness intimidated me into just getting one item from the case and leaving quickly. If he were not so off putting I would have loved to learn what he had made, what he was making, and absolutely would have spent more money there and planned to return. Shame.

Amazing little spot! Grabbed a Beef Shawarma sandwich and some fresh Hummus to go. Staff is supper friendly and location was spotless but Spartan. Not much of a dine in spot but the food is excellent. Also took some fresh Naan to go.

Came here on a whim because I had never heard or it before and I was intrigued that they didn't have a website or any online presence at all. This place is a Kurdish bakery that sells sandwiches and has a few frozen items as well. The vibe fits the area pretty well. No frills, and clearly not trying to assimilate to impress the American market. There are two large display case against the back wall. One holds pastries (baklava and the like) and one is completely full of freshly baked naans in 4-packs. The only "menu" or label of any kind is 5 pieces of printer paper taped to the wall above the kitchen listing the sandwiches they offer. Again, they're not trying to impress anyone with the current decor--but the food speaks for itself.I got a bag of massive naans for $4, and wow. I've never had anything quite like it. Picture your standard Indian naan, a little buttery, and completely covered in sesame seeds. So it has a really nice nutty smell and taste that I haven't had in naan before.I wish I'd been hungry enough to try the pastries or a sandwich, but it was worth it to try the naan. Highly recommended to stop by and pick up a bag if you're in the area.

Went to this store a while back and didn't have a good experience with the staff working there. The man behind the counter was pushy for me to order quickly...
