After several visits here, both to the "traditional" picnic/hike/playground, etc. section and the nature center and bison habitat up the road, and have to say that it's a real GEM, with TONS of nooks and crannies to be discovered!!Wonderful, well-maintained trails and facilities, it's really a great resource. I'm not in this area very often, but will be sure to revisit when I am, ESPECIALLY in the fall, when I'm sure it becomes a colorful wonderland...

I am a huge fan of any metro park system. And I have been to numerous around Ohio. I will say this nature center and Metroparks. Outshines all of them. And not by a little. But by a mile. They have a herd of Bison at the nature center. A real love herd. The volunteer I interacted with was awesome. He knew his stuff. He even hit me with a question that not many people know about. What can grey fox do that red fox can't. Grey fox can climb a tree. And the red fox cant. I knew the answer. But I was so happy to have a fun and interactive time here. I got to feel the pelt of numerous animals. And the flying squirrel by far has the softest pelt. Get here. Get here now. I'll be back to hike and view more.

Ohio Metro Parks, you continue to impress me! Heated restrooms, trails galore, and white squirrels (one lives down by the river). Lots of Pokestops for those like me that play Pokémon Go. I love this place.

It is one of my goals to visit all of the metro parks in the greater Columbus area. Only a few more to go! They have all been very enjoyable and Darby Creek is no exception. It is huge and there are several entrances, so checking out the online park map ahead of time would have been a good idea. I wish I had known to park at the nature center to see the bison. Next time. Ended up at the Ohio to Erie trailhead and it was very scenic with all of the fall foliage. The trees were turning and the colors were so pretty.

This metro park is a hidden gem on the outskirts of Columbus. There are many entry points, trails, and sites to see and explore. In the winter time they have a little make shift "pond" the park freezes for ice skaters. They have many trials throughout the park that is pathed and unpathed. Certain trails you may or may not be allowed to walk your dog, so just look out got signs. And there are a few playground parks spend throughout! There is also a beautiful shelter house that can be rented out for parties, birthdays, baby showers, etc. This park is one of my favorites because they have live Bison that live out in the pastures; and it's just so neat to see such big beautiful creatures in this area.

This is a very nice park to enjoy nature, family, and activities. There are places you can even have parties at. I was shocked to see bison. I was amazed to see them in a park in Ohio. A must see.

This park is amazing, and they have a wonderful nature center with a knowledgeable staff. You can take caterpillars to the nature center, there are many species of birds, and numerous animals in aquariums. They even have a shallow pool and allow you to pet the turtles! I highly recommend this park and nature center for children, (especially elementary-school age). It's a really wonderful hands on learning experience that they will cherish forever.
