As a foodie who eats a lot, I can say this food was some of the best I've had this year. It was very unique, with lots of flavor, and will leave you craving more. The service was phenomenal. And the ambiance is like no other. This is truly a gem in Columbus to have your own private dining club that will welcome you and your friends/family, offer great service, and spectacular food.

This is a private dining club that is normally not available unless you are a member or guest. They have special events that non members can do. We went for a New Years Eve champagne dinner. It was a small group at one large table which meant you were going to meet new people. We were fortunate with the couple across from us. I try not to be a snob or pretentious. But this review will only be for the benefit of those who can afford this. So people, I am blessed and have travelled extensively on almost every continent and dining is a major part of travel. So I have had quite w few outstanding tasting menus with high chef involvement. We are new to Columbus and are trying to find the exceptional restaurant for those special occasions. The environment is quaint. The staff very welcoming and chummy. They are used to having relationships with their members. Each plate was skillfully presented and for the evening caviar was an element for each course. We did not have a single plate that did not appeal and some were at the highest levels of our past experiences. Definitely a great evening.

Left here very impressed with food, story and art. Amazing people, super interesting owner. They let your tour in back kitchen when you come.Should give this place 7 stars, best meal I've had in the past decade. Best lobster bisque I've had. Foie Gras to die for. Great beef wellington. Drinks were great too.I was a bit floored to start with when they were giving me a tour, Chef Hubert was private Chef to the King of Spain for four years. Pretty epic connections, apparently Charlie Trotter worked here for a time and a few chefs have Alinea ties.Apparently some big names come here, Warren Buffett closed the deal to buy RR engines and the Ohio gov is a regular.I've never said this about a restaurant before but I was very impressed by the art. Salvador Dali, Chahuli and some awesome new age stuff I'm not familiar with.

Being an admitted novice in the fine dining world my education and drive to learn more has been seeded by Aubergine. I had an extremely rare opportunity to meet the owner, tour front and back of house and discover something greater in dining. I'll make it simple.*PassionThe entire staff exhibits a culture of ownership in every role they fulfill. This translates to the menu which culminates diversity and a personal touch seldom expected. *Atmosphere Aubergine members partake in a comfortable setting that bridges a juxtaposition between art gallery and dining environment. Comfortable lighting and seating that promotes authentic dinner table conversation; you won't want to leave. *MenuI have personally never experienced a set in house menu but I've learned that I am ok with that. Fresh, locally sourced, clean dining pallets not to be found elsewhere. The chef personally creates a robust flavor profile which treks a tactile journey. Even the coffee is an intersection of precision. *ValueMemberships are required and fosters an intimate dining experience. You will be dining with fellow members who value the same commitment to quality and taste that you do. Take your time, converse, tour tastes most delicately delectable: care to attend Aubergine.

The best dining experience I've had in Columbus! Went with a group of 4 for a friend's birthday and could not be happier. Every course of our meal came with a detailed walkthrough that showed how every piece was meticulously curated for the menu. Great meal and even better individuals who took us on the journey!

I just hosted my first business dinner at the Aubergine. This is a fine dining private club on grandview. The proprietor is the owner of Spaggio a local restaurant a few doors away. But the food here is more customizable and upscale than Spaggio. I had heard very good things about it but had not tried this place before. We had a group of close to 40 and the service and quality of food was exceptional. The wine flowed throughout the night and was of high quality. The evening started with a lobster bisque, quite unlike any I've had. It was superb with large chunks of lobster. It was heavy but not overly creamy --- just wonderful. The second course was a beet salad. Fresh naturally sweet beets with a hint of herbs and feta cheese. I'm normally not a big fan of beet salad but this was terrific. The third course was the main meal and we had a choice of duck or beef. The chef recommended the duck so I got it and no regrets whatsoever. The duck was sumptuous and incredibly flavorful. Those who had the beef liked it a lot as well. For the final course we had the bourbon bomb. I was completely full by that time but managed to eat a little and packed the rest for home. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it. A wonderful overall experience.

Fine dining in Central Ohio has never been more alive than at Aubergine in Grandview. Aubergine is a private dining club operated by Chef Hubert Seifert of Spagio and the Wine Lounge. It is just a few doors down Grandview Avenue from those ventures. As a guest of a member, I was not so rude as to ask the price for membership or the meal. I was, however, very grateful to have been treated to a wonderful, and very entertaining, dining experience. At Aubergine, Chef Hubert prepares the menu based on available, local or freshly delivered, ingredients. While he will accommodate preferences & allergies if advised in advance, he selects the dishes that will be served. There is a full bar with a great selection of high quality wines. The service is attentive but not overbearing, with a friendly and easygoing approach. The Chef oversees not just the preparation but also the service of each dish. Our meal began with a lovely Crab cake served on a bed of Asian salad. The Crab cake was firm but chunky with crab, which was perfectly complimented by the tang of the Asian salad. I have posted a photo of the dish.We then moved on to a silky smooth potato soup with chives and chunks of a local bacon cured by Chef Hubert. I have posted a photo which does not do justice to the dish. The soup was light and flavorful, with the occasional bite of smoky bacon to punctuate the creaminess. It was really quite extraordinary. The soup was followed by a salad, but this was no ordinary salad. We had a Panzanella Salad with a crisp marble rye bread, local sweet corn, local tomatoes, a balsamic truffle dressing and a surprise of freshly prepared mozzarella hidden in the center. The layering of flavors and textures made this salad a delightful take on a common Florentine dish. I have posted a photo. From there we moved on to the main course. We had a pan seared halibut, au-gratin potatoes with porcini mushrooms and fresh local white asparagus and fava beans. The fish was perfectly seared, with a crisp exterior and soft and juicy on the inside and was beautifully seasoned imparting a slight brininess, but allowing the fish to come through. The potatoes were rich, but not heavy and the fava beans were fresh and delicious. I have posted a photo. Then we came to desert. For me, this was the best dish of the night. Chef Hubert made a fresh blueberry tart which he served warm with a scoop of Jeni's Almond Brown Butter Ice Cream and a maple whipped cream. Now, I love blueberries and almonds, and who doesn't love maple syrup? As I told Chef Hubert, this is quite possibly the perfect desert for me. I have posted a photo.Of course, we were not done. Chef Hubert came out and joined us with some of his own Lemoncello. I have posted a picture of the Chef enjoying a glass. He spent quite a bit of time with us, talking about food, travel and overall interests. Chef Hubert is a very interesting guy with a very diverse food background and clearly loves what he does. This was a great night for a foodie like me.In summary, if you know someone who is a member, be very friendly and hope they invite you, you won't regret it.

I admittedly work here, but I need to give credit where credit is due- Aubergine is the greatest work environment and has the best food in the city. Of course it is members only, but if you are lucky enough to get a reservation the chef will work for weeks sourcing and preparing every ingredient that goes into your meal. And every dietary restriction is met flawlessly. Hope everyone else agrees!

There simply could not be a better dining experience than Aubergine. For us, it's home. It's a private dining club and I could not more highly recommend it. It was the only place my husband and I felt safe going during the pandemic and for years has never failed to deliver on unique dining experiences that are always special - from the food to the company to the way it is run - with nothing but making its diners feel like special family members in mind.
