Ash Cave Day Spa

Had such a relaxing time at Ash Cave Spa today. The person I worked with (Katherine?) had such beautiful and amazing energy. You could feel her positivity and kindness right when you walk into the room. I was in one of the private rooms and it was great! Very calming, nice music. The session felt wonderful and really brought me down from a stressful time I've been having. In response to some other reviews, yes the building is older, but that is also part of the charm. I wanted to feel like I was disconnecting from city life and I did. Had one of my best massages had half the price of what I could have paid in Cincinnati. Really recommend if you want to disconnect.

While the ladies were very nice and professional, my fiance and I were not thrilled with the massages we received. We went for a couples massage and they had the beds out in the middle of the restaraunt/store? I don't know what to even call it. The environment was not very relaxing or massage worthy as we were out in the open, not very private or darkened room at all. I was freezing the entire time too so very hard to get comfortable. While we appreciate the kindness and service, we won't be back as it was def not worth the price.

I like to give positive reviews when they are deserved, and this is one of those times. The couples massage was just what we needed. My fiancé and I enjoyed a very nice professional massage. Massage therapists Ellie and Randy knew exactly what they were doing, followed all Covid 19 safety guidelines and protocols by the book. Temperatures were taken upon entry and masks were worn throughout our massage experience. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The spa itself was warm, inviting, properly lit, and cozy. A mini waterfall runs and trickles alongside the ambient relaxing sounds of quiet soft music to help clear your mind. The temperature inside was very comfortable, the beds were heated. All linens are changed and surfaces sanitized between clients. They offer many services to their guests, however some of these services aren't available currently due to Covid regulations. They also offer a membership plan which would be great for local clientele. 10 out of 10 highly recommended!! Will be a returning customer. :)

My friends and I were on trip to Hocking Hills to explore the park and relax and couldn't wait to have massages. Let me just say this was one of the weirdest experiences of my life. When we walked in to the "spa', and I use that term lightly, we immediately noticed that three beds were set up in what appeared to be an old dining room or restaurant. Can't forget to mention the giant moose on the wall that really contributed to the ambiance (insert eye roll). Oh yes, and the small plug in waterfall from Home Goods was a nice touch. Again, insert eye roll. We had to change in front of each other, no robes, no slippers, no hot tea and no water was given even after our massages. We couldn't help but laugh at this situation but I think any normal person would have asked why we were all put together? Why were we not offered a private place to change? I love my friends dearly but I don't need to see all of their bits! Some may have even just walked out! I am sure the staff are all lovely people but my guess is that none of them have been to a real day spa and maybe this business should consider a name change. Unfortunately I do not recommend. Take your money elsewhere!

It didn't look like a day spa at all. It looked like an old run down banquet hall. When you walk in, there is a 70s looking bar area which was dirty and cluttered. The bathroom looked like a bathroom from a bar. Not spa quality at all. The actual hot stone service was great but the place needs cleaned, updated, painted and finished. I would not go back and regret spending $ there. Overpriced for what you get. We were both pretty disappointed.

My wife and I had a great experience with the spa. We were visiting for the weekend so we made reservations last minute, and they worked us in. The services were great and very reasonably priced. Bad weather set in very quickly while we were there, and the staff chose our safety over their profit and suggested we cut the services a little short at a reduced price. Like others have mentioned, the only thing that was a little odd was that the space for the couples massage was basically the lobby to the spa. It was dim and calm and private (you could tell it was set so no one else would enter), but it did take a minute to get comfortable. We would definitely go again.

My boy friend and I came to relax and we did just that! This was our first massage session and it was amazing! Randy and Tammy did an amazing job, their massage techniques helped alleviate the tension in our muscles. We both had a great time and really enjoyed the facial, mud wrap and sugar scrub as well!

After reading the reviews, I'll be honest, my expectations weren't that high. I was pleasantly surprised though. The spa was nice. My massage was better than what I've gotten at resorts and not as pricey. The massage room was very relaxing and I would definitely go back!
