Found a groupon for what seemed to be reasonable dance lessons ahead of our wedding. It included 2 private individual and 1 group. Very frustrated with the experience, on BOTH individual that are scheduled for 1 HOUR our instructor tried to end them at ~25 min in! We had to fight both times to have a full lesson. In preparation for the wedding we wanted to learn a dance to our sing. Instead they wanted to teach a single move from every style of dance. The instructor specifically said we had to stop practicing the foxy moves that went to our song.At the end of two lessons they pulled us into a private room and tried to upsell us for $600 to create a "wedding dance"Didn't attend the group lesson -wasnt even worth the time to drive there.

I really enjoy the people. They are very friendly and out going. I went in to learn something simple and ended up liking it more than I thought. I especially like the theme parties we have. The best part is having an understanding instructor (Julia) who is able to teach a deaf tone guy. She is very good at simplifying instruction to the bear essentials.

I'm no dancer so I chose their $20 two half-hour trial option. This proved to be a fantastic way to get my feet wet before paying for further classes.Mia was my instructor. She is charismatic, fun and a great teacher. Their prices are affordable and appropriately priced.

I came in here with a friend on a Groupon deal (as, I'll be frank, ballroom dance classes are generally outside of my price range) and was happy with their flexibility in scheduling times for classes, and the location in general. If I were to rate only the instructor, this would be five stars-- this guy was extremely patient and explained things clearly, as well as doing his best to put the quite nervous me at my ease with jokes and whatnot. Also probably a good dancer? Not that I can really judge such things. I learned a step or two of waltz, merengue, rumba, and swing, and really enjoyed myself. The rating is bumped down (and part of me wants to bump it down more) because of the front desk/manager/financial type guy, who spoke to my and partner in a kind of condescending and overly forward way; he seemed to really be pressing us to sign up for more classes, and didn't give us a graceful way to leave after class. Eventually my friend channeled her teenage punk roots and got us out of there with a brusque-but-much-needed "no thanks," after around ten minutes of sales pitch. I get that Groupon customers are managed heavily towards making a sale because Groupons are used as advertisements, but I honestly felt a bit uncomfortable and pressured, and it detracted from the quality of the experience. All the same, I'm looking forward to the social class later on, and I'd recommend going if you can find a deal/have some spare change, since it's really fun! The class itself is a blast. Maybe I'm just not assertive enough to deal with the pitch afterwards.

We took a class here from a dancer called Diego. INCREDIBLY wonderful experience!!! I never thought I would get the chance to learn an actual ballroom dance as it is such an expensive hobby to take up. However, I happened upon an ad in one of the local mags advertising 3 lessons for $10. I called to inquire and booked myself and partner in. Once he saw that there were other men in there doing this he was completely up for it and our lessons were amazing! Diego was seriously an amazingly patient instructor and squeezed as much as he possibly could in during the 3 lessons. We walked away having learned 3 basic dances and I would definitely go back! If this is something you think you might be interested in, call them and ask for the 3 for $10 lesson special!

My wife and I wanted to learn a few steps to dance at our son's wedding so we called quite a few studios to gather information, Mike the owner was the only one we called that answered the phone, he was very informative and polite. We signed up for an introductory package and it was so much fun learning to dance and actually being able to dance in public. Our instructor has been Mia and she is awesome, very knowledgeable and makes the learning fun. That was 9 years ago and were still at the school taking lessons. The owners and instructors are very compassionate in their dedication to teach you the correct methods and styles. They are very friendly and easy to communicate with, they offer private lessons, group lessons to support the private lessons and party nights were you can dance and enjoy the evening with other students. I highly recommend that you check out Arthur Murray of Columbus FIRST if you're interested in learning to dance. They are simply the best

I am so happy that I made the decision to go to the tried and true name of Arthur Murray Dance Studio. I tried some independents in the area which turned out to be very disapointing as far as service, dance knowledge and overall quality of lessons. Although some think the dance lessons are expensive, when you see what you are getting with private lessons, weekly group classes AND staff dancing with you at their weekly party it's actually a bargain. (I always told my kids if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys!) lol! Well at this Columbus Arthur Murray Studio, there are no monkeys, just great teachers and a wonderful owner who makes the studio run like clockwork! Thank you Michael for this journey of dance! I'm not leaving anytime soon! This isn my hobby!

Steve R.My wife and I began taking lessons here in January 2014. It has been so much fun and very challenging. Our instructor was an international champion competitor; and she has been an instructor for many many years. She continues to challenge us and give us tools to grow into excellent dancers. Since my goal is to attain proficiency and excellence in the broad spectrum of ballroom dancing, I was very fortunate to be perfectly matched with such a mentor and the Arthur Murray system of carefully layered instruction.

My husband and I received a gift certificate from a friend for two free lessons. We really enjoyed them and loved the instructor who was patient and fun-loving. Unfortunately this is out of our price-range for now, but maybe some day we'll be able to pick up where we left off. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the sales pitch at the end of our second lesson. It would be nice if it was toned back a little bit. Highly recommend if you have the budget!
