Stopped in today on a business trip. Excellent facility. Well maintained with every variation of strength equipment. Modern showering area with towels readily available. Recommend 10/10.

I work at Nationwide downtown and we have a wellness center that employees may use free of charge. For one week last year, our locker rooms were closed for renovation (i.e. new carpet), so we were offered a week's free pass at Arena District Athletic Club or another gym downtown (don't remember the name). I chose to use the pass here. I walked down every day to use their facilities. I loved it. The locker rooms are spa-like, the cardio machines have attached tv's (I know other gyms have this too but we have to share the tv's on the wall at our work gym). They offer free use of headsets, towels, water, and even free coffee (great for my walk back to work). I wish I could go here every day, but cannot justify the cost since I pay nothing to work out at work gym. There wasn't even pressure to buy a membership. The staff was always friendly, and it wasn't crowded (10-10:45 am).I highly recommend.

Upscale facility, clean, professional, great yoga. All the machine and loose weights you desire, plus aerobic machines with TV screens. Lots of group classes and spinning classes to choose from. Charles is a great personal trainer. Impressive locker room, with Sauna. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great Gym!

I can't say enough good things about the gym that completely changed my life, but I'll say a few.I started my fitness journey here about seven years ago. I was depressed, out of shape and out of energy. Through a combination of the Spinning, Total Strength and Boot Camp classes, I was able to lose 30 pounds, run a marathon, and get inspired enough to become a certified Spinning instructor. I ended up teaching here for a few years and was consistently blown away by the dedication and positive energy of the students in class. There are great people here. You will see a regular roster of committed fitness enthusiasts ranging from age 25 to 75. Many gyms I've been a member of lack the real sense of empowerment and community that you'll feel in ADAC. The instructors are all amazing, too--some of the best you'll find in the city, especially considering the cost of this gym compared to the boutique fitness studios in town. ADAC is a STEAL if you're into group fitness classes.I used to get ready here every morning after my workout. The bathrooms are nothing short of luxurious! Shampoo, razors, blow dryers, feminine products, etc. are all provided. The entire gym itself is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, and the equipment is all modern and high quality. If I didn't move out of the area, I'd still be going here daily. I'm so grateful I found ADAC!

I come to Columbus often for training. When I stay downtown I like to go to Arena Fitness for a good workout. It is far superior to any hotel gym. It has a nice selection of free weights and machines. I see others doing classes but don't know which. Also a nice array of cardio machines. I like that it is never crowded and I can usually get the equipment I want. I probably wouldn't sign a membership agreement here, as it is too small and doesn't have a huge variety of equipment. But it's good for occasional workb outs.

I have been a member since August of last year. I can say that this is a great gym with enough free weights, lifting machines and cardio equipment for different goals. The membership provides enough amenities including fresh towels, toiletries and use of the steam room. Coffee is also self-serve at the reception area. There are also classes that I have yet to explore. I have observed trainers in am and pm that have varying styles and techniques. I suggest you interview each one or ask to observe them train other members before signing up. A few things of concern include the steam room being unavailable numerous times since I've been a member. Also, the coffee which is a great pre-workout is rarely available in afternoons. There is also only one Smith machine and squat rack. Most if not all the trainers and staff are very friendly. I come in the afternoons usually after 4 and the main floor is rarely full. I have not had to wait for equipment of bench station ever. There are a few inspiring members here as well. Over all this gym is good for beginners or for those who already has a developed physique to maintain their mass.

Let's start with the facts: Arena District Athletic Club may have turned me into a gym rat.I come here at least three times a week (in addition to outdoor workouts) for classes and strength training. They have top of the line equipment, and though this gym is small, it has everything you might need and more (with the exception of a pool). I know a lot of people take advantage of their frequent spinning classes and great instructors. Personally I come here for Lara Falberg's yoga classes (6:15 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and 11:45 a.m. on Tuesdays - this has been her schedule for a while now) and to get better at strength training interval workouts on my own. There's also a ton of fun stuff here, like a boxing bag, TRX equipment, abmats, Bosu balls, and more.I like that most everyone keeps to themselves and I never feel like I'm trying to be sold on things. Arena District gives a higher-end boutique gym feel than a lot of places that frequently slash their prices.Another big plus is that you don't even need to pack your gym bag for post-workout showering. They have the staples (shampoo, condition, body wash, etc.) - but also hair dryers, curling irons/flat irons, toothbrushes, shaving cream/razors, and deodorant. If you're in the market for a new gym and you're looking in the downtown area, check out ADAC. (They also offer free parking for gym use.)

After searching for gyms in Columbus, I can finally say I found "my" gym. The gym is clean, spacious, has a large amount of weights, and has a heavy focus on nontraditional gym equipment. The gym goers here range from recent college graduates to retired grandparents. All ages are represented. There are no grunters, no body builders (yet), and no standing around on the phone. It is heaven. Everyone there is focused on a good workout. The gym isn't big, by any means, but it always feels spacious. I have been going here for over a year, and I haven't ever waited for a machine. The best time to workout, like at any gym, is non-peak hours, but even at 6 AM or 6 PM, the gym can comfortably manage the amount of people there. The classes offered are great! They are challenging, fun, but can adapted to your own skill level. I especially like their Saturday spin class with Velma. I've never done their spinning/weights 90 minute class on Saturdays, but I've heard that it is one of the best classes offered. All in all, I would say this is the best gym in the city. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. The locker rooms are expansive and clean. The trainers are amazing. There isn't much to hate. If you want to try it out, they offer free one week passes, which I would highly recommend.

Out of all the gyms I have belonged to in Columbus, this is my favorite!A bit more expensive, but we'll worth it. Equipment is in great condition. It's spotless! Lots of windows and light so you don't feel like you're indoors. The members are mostly serious about their workouts and are regulars. That's very motivational for me to be around others that take their works-outs seriously. Steve is a great manager, very personable! I never have to wait very long for a machine. Parking is convenient most of the time. When sports events are happening, the parking structure is a bit crazy. (The huge gyms oversell memberships and are just too busy)I would definitely say this gym is the nicest in Columbus!

After returning to Columbus from working out of state for a few years, I searched for a facility that fit my needs. ADAC was the 5th and final athletic club I tried. Many others in Columbus don't match the quality of this facility. If group classes are your thing, this is the place to be. Various classes are held 7 days per week. If you like to spin, you can do it here several times per day all week long. There are also tons of options for yoga. Personal trainers here do not hound you or gawk at patrons, as can be common in mega gyms throughout the city. You aren't approached unless you express interest. These professionals are classy and you can decide who you want to work with by watching them in action with other clients.ADAC sponsors Kickball leagues, Fit Club, and plenty of other outdoor fitness activities throughout the year. The locker rooms are always clean and stocked with plenty of towels and other complimentary toiletries. Feel free to stop in for a few healthy lunch options with your midday workout. Wi-fi included. Unfortunately, if you are looking for a pool, this isn't your place and that's the only downside I can think of. Check it out for yourself. They offer a one week trial membership to those interested.
