Are you creative and love a hands-on activity? Then bring your group of friends or coworkers to AR Workshop. Book ahead so you have time and space to do your projects. Various projects available on their website to purchase ahead of your visit. This allows the staff to prep your station prior to your arrival. This location is off high street in Worthington with parking in front and plenty behind the shop with a short walk. Our group brought our own champagne and mixers to make mimosas along with muffins. They allow wine, beer and champagne along with your own food. Not a lot of room to set up a spread but nice enough to have at or near your workstation to sip and graze. The staff is friendly and eager to help. (Shout out to Erin and Stacy) Some people in our group made signs, a tabletop and I opted to make a pillow cover. Each project had a custom stencil that was ordered and made prior to our arrival. What I learned was NOT to move ahead of your project prior to getting guidance or assistance. There could be a possibility you make a mistake or miss a crucial step that messes things up. Don't be afraid to ask for help or get tips and how-to's from the staff. We had fun creating not only memories but beautiful projects that will last a lifetime.

We had a Bachelorette party that included kids from 9-13 and it was the perfect place. Kay was amazing and we had another lady helping as well (didn't catch her name) but she was amazing helping the younger one, so patient...I would recommend this to anyone who wants a beautiful craft and to create your own in a relaxing atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

Participated in a workshop on Saturday with my daughter in law. We each made a porch plank. What fun! I am not a crafty person, but it turned out I didn't need to be. Our instructor, Theresa, was fantastic. She helped us with colors and stain styles, and when we got stuck on our projects, Theresa was there to help out. I highly recommend!

AR Workshop Worthington is pricey but totally worth it for a fun night out. This was my second time at this particular location. The first time we made chunky blankets and this time was their "choose your own" evening. For these kinds of evenings, you have to order in advance and select from multiple options what you want. You can work with the team in advance to customize if you would like. The hardest part of the entire class is making your selection weeks in advance. There are A LOT of choices of projects. This is GREAT, but can be overwhelming. I chose to make a small wooden box. Before you get there they have your materials all ready to go. Then you hit another roadblock - deciding what colors you want to use. They provide a wide range of color options, including samples. They walk you through every step of the process and help where needed but it's a lot about your own artistic expression. If crafting isn't your thing, this isn't going to be the place for you. But if you have some funds and are looking for a fun night out with coworkers or friends, AR Worthington will be your place! (Don't forget that you can bring your own beverages of choice too!!)

My girlfriend and I attended a chunky blanket class this weekend. We really enjoyed ourselves and the staff were very helpful. I am already planning for our next class. The only negative is that they didn't have me on the attendance list and then couldn't find seating. Once that was all figured out it was all good. Highly recommend to those wanting to try a craft class.

We came across AR Workshop Worthington during the holiday open house. A friendly person near the door invited us in and told us that they were offering ornament making in exchange for a donation to Charity Newsies, so we headed into check it out! The space is very impressive - I couldn't believe how far back it went, with multiple long tables with stools in the back end of the space for working on projects. The front section, near the register, was nicely set up and welcoming. We made our donation and were given a nice cookie-sized wood slice to head back to a table. A friendly staff member in a cheery apron gave us a quick rundown: pick a stencil, affix to wood slice, and lightly paint as desired with the many colors and brushes spread out around the table. We then got to hair dry it to set the paint, and then the staff member helpfully picked out the last little bits of the stencil that really made our cute pick-up truck with Christmas tree motif pop! It was finished off with a bit of string to hang. It was a lot of fun, and the staff was good with kids. I'd certainly be interested in returning for another crafty venture in the future.
