AnA Shawarma

First off, the social media is top notch. If you follow them. you'll start salivating uncontrollably to the point where you HAVE to try AnA Shawarma. The chicken shawarma plate shined. Wow, was the rice good - much more than a mere base! And don't let the fiery red hue of the chicken scare you. It's mind, tender and juicy. The creamy sauce on top pulls everything together beautifully. This is a place I would come to again... and again.

This is my new favorite take out place in Columbus, and that's only because they operate out of a ghost kitchen (High Street Kitchen) with not much seating availability. I have been there several times to try different items on the menu, and everything here is legit. The chopped cheese is the best chopped cheese I have had outside of NYC. The Chicken Shawarma platter (aka chicken over rice) is very flavorful and tender (ask for extra sauces to take it to the next level). Then there are the wings. The BBQ and the Sweet Chilli sauced wings were so good that I went back and ordered 80 of them again for a Super Bowl party (they were a hit there too). Since they operate out of a ghost kitchen, the most efficient process that I have found is to order ahead on their site, park on the street (or in the lot next to the building), and ring the doorbell for this business. There are several other businesses operating out of this ghost kitchen, and I look forward to trying them out!

This has quickly become my favorite take out! The chicken shawarma is out of this world tasty and inexpensive for the huge portion! I usually order online for delivery but stopped by once and the service was great! I ALWAYS get the chicken shawarma but am excited to try some of the other menu items soon!

Few places I still think about back in Columbus since moving out of state - perhaps it is recency bias, but this place still looms large. Such a large portion for a really great price - and for the quality of meat and ingredients that comes with, I was shockingly surprised. Honestly it would be on my consideration for a death row meal. That good - that plentiful - that memorable.The place itself is super hard to find amidst a few other takeout spots nestled within the same little building and an odd little door you'll ring the doorbell for when you arrive - otherwise fairly ambiguous so just read the instructions on their site when you order carefully or else you'll get lost.

The chopped cheese sandwich is really good. It's the first one I had. I would get that again. The shawarma platters are very filling. I liked the chicken shawarma more than the lamb. I actually ordered through the High St kitchen location for pickup. It took a little longer for pickup. I would like to try the wings in the future.

Headed out of the way to try out AnA Shawarma and it is totally worth it. They are located about 15 minutes out from downtown Columbus. You can spot them within the Marathon gas station parking lots. Their menu specialize in Shawarma Platter, Gyro and Philly Cheesesteak. I got the Chicken Shawarma and it is super good. The chicken is well marinated and very tender. Pair very well with the flavored brown rice and the signature white sauce. It you like to take on some heat, you can ask for some hot sauce drizzle as well. Another part that I like is the lettuce salad with tomato, which help to balance and cleanse out the palate.The owner is super nice and welcoming. I would have to come back to try out the Gyro or the Philly Cheesesteak.

Probably one of the most kindest people who work there. If you have a problem with your order they will be more than happy to fix it. Food is always on point love this place.

Quick, easy, grub on the go. You can't go wrong with any of their dishes. I love how quick the service is, everyone is very friendly. I was confused at the location first but the building itself isn't bad if you plan on sitting to eat.Highly recommend any rice dish

Amazing chicken shawarma! The appearance of it resembles the type that you get at NYC gyro carts. This was absolutely amazing. You're able to taste each individual component and it melds so nicely with each other. The rice was great texture as well as flavor. The chicken was not dry. The salad was a nice balance (though not a healthy salad). The white sauce brings it all together. I wasn't able to finish the whole platter in one sitting and I've never been more excited to eat left overs the next day and it was still delicious. 10+/10 for the chicken shawarma. We also ordered wings. Sweet chili and spicy BBQ. I may be wrong in the name of the bbq sauce. For me, these are pretty standard wings. They are naked (not breaded) and then tossed in sauce. The chicken was a little dry, but still decent. Though, my husband likes them more. 8/10. As we live 20 min away, we would not drive here just for the wings (but would def drive here for the chicken shawarma!), but if we are around, my husband would get them again. This is a ghost kitchen concept. Best to order ahead. I went when it was about 8 degrees outside and didn't realize we should have ordered ahead, though, you can still order there (just enter, and ring the doorbell next to the AnA sign). Was very thankful that they had an enclosed waiting area. It wasn't warm, but was much better than sitting in the elements. Perhaps there was some heat, but not great insulation.

Portion and price is so good. Almost as good as ny halal carts but hours super wonky fair warning
