The pizza is ok but costs as much as an extra large everywhere else with multiple toppings but you get a tiny thin barely topped personal size pie. It was not bad, it was just way too expensive for what you get.

Dinner we met some friends who were doing Atlas Obscura day trip for Michigan. It is really nice to see Marion cleaning up, and having really good food and beer options now. The guy taking care of us did a really good job, we never went without a beer or water and the food was served hot. The building consisted of a renovated storefront with exposed steel and new walls seeing this now, I will definitely be back. Period

We were in the area for the night and decided to check out the town. We stumbled across this place due to the outside patio and crowd. I'm glad we did. We got to sit on the patio since it was a nice evening and there was a local entertainer singing. We started with the meatball appetizer, great flavor and sauce, only wish came with some bread to soak up that sauce. We each tried a different 8 inch pizza, i had the pepperoni & sausage, while my husband had the pesto jalapeño and side of pizza sauce. Great spot we will be back to try more if ever in the area.

I was in here two weeks ago, the fourth time I have been, and the experience, while long, was worth the wait. On one hand, there were some service snafus, as they were heavily busy on Saturday evening, and some of our order was mixed up, the food and drinks themselves were superb. Major props to our server/bartender, who was super friendly, makes great mixed drinks, and was super helpful and communicative throughout the evening. We had the Tuscan garlic bread, bruscetta, and a take on a quattro formaggi style pizza, with added Italian meats. I know I'll be back again!

Amato's is one of my favorite pizza joints...especially when in the mood for a wood fired pie! Ordered two 12" pies; margarita and Oahu...and they were spot on! Crispy crust and just the right amount of toppings! Also had an order of feta spinach triangles pasta...same report quality wise! Server was prompt and friendly with frequent drink refills...another quality meal all around.

There is more seating at this location than the one in Delaware. We got seated right away but then waited for over an hour to get our meals. I ordered the margherita pizza and it didn't come with tomatoes on it. I will admit I didn't read the description that well but what magherita pizza doesn't come with tomatoes automatically on it!? It was a disappointment to say the least. especially after waiting so long to eat. There was another large group that came in after us, they were so loud it was hard to hear any conversations that were happening at our table. We ate and got out of there as fast as possible. A perk was they were cross promoting other local businesses in the area, but other than that I was not impressed.

Ordered pizza and BruschettaThe pizza tasted GREAT but there's barely any pizza. It might actually be thinner than paper. It's to a point you can almost roll it up and eat it in a single bit. Make the dough thicker and you got a great pizza There was something about the bruschetta that didn't sit right on my tongue. Could be because it was ordered to go so everything came in a massive container for me to ratio out. I could only eat 4 out of the 8 before I was just done with the taste. The bread is good though maybe more tomato flavor and less Italian salsa. The salsa might've been the killer for me. Place looks gorgeous inside and the little igloos outside are fun and beautiful.Would I come back yes but would I go out of my way to eat here no.

The pizzas are good. Solid place to have a drink and some Zza with friends. The price to quality of the food though didn't really match in my opinion. The crust was also kinda hard, but that's just me being picky.

An excellent choice for wood-fired pizza, beer and wine! First, let's get this straight: wood-fired pizza has, by necessity, thin crust. Let me say that again: it will be a thin crust. If you want a thick, bready,, carbohydrate-saturated crust, then stick with Dominoes. To say that differently, this is a style of pizza. This pizza originated from Naples and if one gets to think about it carefully, wood fire pizzas require an environment that is very similar to the traditional technique of cooking. Instead of using electricity and gas, wood fire pizzas are cooked by burning loads of wood, which gives it a smoky flavour and unique aroma. So don't complain about the thin crust. The pizza combinations have been carefully designed. Each pizza has its own flavor profile. Again, this is not "pizza joint" pizza. The appetizers are very good. Our table shared an Anti-Pasto Platter: Fresh mozzarella, salami, grilled zucchini, squash, roasted red peppers, asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and Kalamata olives. Great for sharing. This was professionally prepared, and perfectly roasted. We skipped the delicious-sounding pastas and enjoyed the wood fired pizzas. Two of us ordered the Capricosa (Tomato sauce, artichoke hearts, fresh mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, Kalamata olives, hard-boiled egg and fresh Mozzarella). Unbelievable. Excellent. Perfectly fired. Our other stablemate had the Cippolini (Tomato sauce, caramelized onions, fresh scallions, Gouda and fresh Mozzarella). Excellent. This is NOT the place to stuff your gut with bready pizza. This is traditional, Italian-style pizza. Pizza is Italy is a PART of dinner--not the main event. Order it with apps or salads. I know this is a difficult concept, and the first time I went, I left hungry... American hungry. Learn to eat like a European--not stuff yourself like an American bellied up to a Thanksgiving trough. An 8-inch was enough to bring home half for each INDIVIDUAL diner. You might want to order the larger size if you are sharing one pizza for 2. It really depends on whether you are ordering an app (try the shrimp scampi toast!). An excellent dining experience! We shared a blue salad with a 5 oz filet. Delicious! The beer selections are amazing. Our table loved the Oberon Pinot Noir. Delicious and a perfect selection for the men.The service was attentive without being annoying. Amatos--a Delaware favorite--is well executed in Marion. Highly recommended!
