Tea bread (for tea time, not made with tea.)
Tea Bread. Not sure if nutmet is the same as nutmeg ? The nutmet is hardly noticeable. This bread is fantastic when toasted with butter

I'd driven past a few times, and had a minute to stop in. It's a bare-bones bakery, with bread and nothing else. Smells great. Friendly owners. There were two kinds of bread, sweet and tea. The sweet is a big, standard-shape loaf. I'll try it next time. The tea is a lower, more irregular loaf, and is for serving with tea, no tea in it. I got one of those for sandwiches, and it is light but sturdy enough to slice easily, a good, fresh, white bread. I'll be back for sweet.Don't expect pastries, etc., or even a counter. Just fresh, good bread. A big loaf is $3.50.

They have THE best bread in Columbus !! I love their sweet bread, which isn't really a sweet taste, just a very fresh taste. And the tea bread doesn't have tea in it; I'm guessing because it would be great with a cup of tea if you drink it. But my all time favorite is their Bofloats . I'd say a ball of fried dough, but I think that's what it is? It doesn't taste fried or greasy at all. Just delicious !!!

We stopped today and the smell of fresh bread was coming out the door. We were greeted warmly when we came in and they were frying what I think were Puff Puff rolls. We got two different types of bread and a bag of the rolls. I ate two of them in the car warm. Worth a trip over. No fancy pastries but wonderful bread.
