Okay so kudos to recovery of whatever this bug is that is going around. What better way to celebrate than with a Black Girls Wine event at this cozy spot! Love love this new find for me from the mind of a high levl sommelier and his lovely assistant that helped us today. The wines were great and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I will be coming back where tastings range from $20-30 dollars for 5-7 choices. A great deal and even cuter place. Pictures to come.

Interesting joint. You don't need to have your own opinion when you come in, as you will be given theirs whether you want it or not- but that's part of the fun. Just happened to be walking past on the way to the Palace Theater from Speck so we dropped in. They've got a bunch of eccentric wines that you've probably never tasted before or seen at other stores. They will have a few open to taste, but the tasting variety is very limited. The big guy running the joint is as blunt as they come, which I find fun to toy with, as I'm the same wine. Seems to know a shit ton about what he's selling, but then again could be talking out his ass I have no way of verifying his claims. Nonetheless, he had a nice clientele in and the two wines we tried were good. Hadn't intended on buying anything other than a taste or two, but ended up leaving with a bottle of Italian somethingorother out of pure guilt for the attention and lecture I was given. The place is small and cozy, with a nice couch, bar area, and large table. My only knock is traditional this is not. Therefore, all the California favs I've had and liked were not present. But that seems to be their mission- to introduce you to wines from around the world you've probably never heard about or had.

Best wine shop in Columbus. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. Great selections of hard to find wines at retail.

We love trying and learning about new wines so when we walked past this one night we knew we had to make time to go back. We visited on a Saturday night and were welcomed in to complete a wine tasting. They have a new batch of wines every week to taste, ours included 2 whites, 1 rose and 3 reds. The price was very reasonable the wine information we recieved was fantastic. Our only regret was we didn't have enough time to fully enjoy the experience so if you're going I would estimate an hour to complete.

Great bottle prices and variety. We enjoyed our stop here on a Tuesday night before our dinner res. The wine room manager Sandy is highly educated (level 2 somm) and gives great recommendations. We tried a lambrusco that we really loved (Vecchia Modena Cleto Chiarli e figli). A dry, tart easy-to-drink sparkling red that would be really good with some proscuitto / funkier cheese. Took home a couple bottles of this given the nice $15 price point! They have a club where you pay $95 a month and get 3 bottles a month. Probably a little too much for us since we still have club memberships from living in Washington. They give you 3 bottles a month of their choosing and a recipe. That sounds fun.The interior is amazing. It's so thoughtfully put together with the categories and layout. The categories are really helpful for novice wine drinkers. I appreciate that this place is bringing variety to the midwestern palette. There is a beautiful couch / sitting area. Very instagram worthy. What I didn't love is the lack of transparency on the tasting prices. We tried a few that were not on the tasting list and then ended up getting charged for what felt like arbitrary pricess. Not every bottle advertised on the list was available to taste (disappointing because we love red wines and there were quite a few reds), and then we tried a few that weren't listed (mostly bubbles that we wouldn't have chosen... but were still good).Pretty much every tasting room we've been to comped your tasting if you purchase a bottle. Felt a little excessive to be charged $36 in tasting fees (I tasted 5 wines, my husband tasted 4) after we purchased $143 of wine! The tasting fee ambiguity was my only critique though. Everything else was great.

Love Greg and his impressive depth of knowledge when it comes to wine. We went to the Loire Valley wine tasting and learned so much about French wines and what foods to pair different wines with. It's an intimate setting and perfect for a small group. We were able to bring our own food in but he also had cheese and crackers there.

This is the passion project of Veritas' sommelier, Greg Stokes. Located adjacent to Citizen's Trust and Veritas, it's a little slice of heaven in the heart of downtown Columbus. Wine tastings are available during operating hours, and the owners and staff are both incredibly well-versed in wine and wine pairings, but in a way that brings ease. There's a story to every wine, and they're there to share their passion with you.
