This is a fun, local Hispanic food place. Food service was quick. The food was tasty and hot. We had Pabellón, Tostadas and Quesadillas. The staff is friendly.

Hidden Gem Alert If you are looking for South American flavors with a Venezuela spin, this is the place. Family ran, which makes it even better. A Tres Leachs Cake that is worth the calories and larger waistline. Always ask for the specials. DORA approved for a drinks; and the Rum Punch is top-notch. The only thing is which flavor you're picking. Empanadas are delicious and will keep you coming back. The Tacos are good and my favorite item, but nothing too fancy about them, which I like and feel comfortable ordering! We also ordered a special of the day tacos, which were fish; OMG - it was so good. Partner is very adventurous regarding food and ordered the ceviche and loved it. I tried it, and I have to say it was different in a good way.

WONDERFUL option right in the HEART of downtown Urbana. Quite the love story/labor of love here, and you can just feel and TASTE the love this couple puts into every dish (and drink) they offer!!I wasn't hungry enough for a whole dinner, but wanted to try some of their tempting apps., and as I debated which to try, the owner helpfully recommended a sampler plate, which was a PERFECT choice!! Chicharron, plantains, fried yuca, tequenos, a mini arepa, and more... As much as I wanted to go "light," this was SUPER filling (no complaints!!) and gave me a great opportunity to try some of their "greatest hits" at a reasonable, belly-filling price. Plenty of drink options at the bar, which I'll be sure try next time (BEFORE/instead of imbibing at the nearby brewery!!) along with some of their tempting entree choices.Come hungry, leave FELIZ!! Awesome decor, great food, friendly people. Que mas necesitan?!? ENJOY... Buen provecho!!

Food was incredible. Came for lunch and the staff was very nice and welcomed us and made great recommendations. I went with the pork Cachapa!!! Highly recommend

Stopped in during a business travel today. Walked in, ordered tostadas and had them on my table about 5 min later. Very tasty and the server couldn't have been nicer. Restaurant was clean and well lit. Very nice experience and I'd stop in on purpose next time I'm in the area.

As I've become a regular once or twice a week patron, I'm still promoting Urbana's family owned and operated Venezuelan restaurant! Amazing unique flavors with incredible hospitality! Everything from Salads, weekly specials or Arepas and empanadas are fresh and flavor packed!

Amazing food, service, location, everything is a 10 out of 10. I'm partial to their mixed drinks, always expertly crafted, and they often come up with some pretty inventive specials. Have never had a dish here I didn't love. My favorite is the black beef, but I wouldn't turn down anything they brought me. It's also a great place for kids, there's a kids menu and they'll even bring out some crayons and a coloring book!Seriously, you are doing yourself a disservice if you are anywhere near Urbana and are not giving this place a try.

We had a family lunch here - ten in total. Appetizers, lunch - all over the table. I had sampled tequeños, tostones, fried yuca, yuca with mojo, and for lunch, pabellón. It was easy to smash - and the shredded beef, the beans - seasoned perfectly. It's perfect in its simplicity.

What a lovely surprise to find this authentic Venezuelan restaurant in Urbana! We were coming home from the Indian Lake area and decided to search on Yelp for a local restaurant passing through Urbana- so glad we stopped here! It's very charming from the exterior and the bar is also colorful and inviting. The food was flavorful and reasonably priced. We started with the plantains and tequenos both delicious. Then my husband had a pork empanada and I tried the cachapa with pork, both also really good. Definitely a nice change to have Venezuelan food, which is much harder to come across than your typical Mexican restaurants which are everywhere. While there are some similarities it's definitely a different cuisine and flavors so don't expect "Mexican" and you won't be disappointed. The service was friendly and prompt. So glad we stopped and we'll come back when in the area!
