This is a small but mighty specialty knitting shop jam packed with every kind of yarn you could imagine. The owner Andrea walked us through how all of the yarns are organized. She offers classes, events and open knit hours in the front sitting area and back table in the store. On the day that my mother and I visited, there was a group of ladies knitting, chatting and having a good old time. Loved the sense of community here.

Really enjoyed the yarn selection, the tips the owner or manager offered, and the time she gave me past when the store would usually have closed. Loved what I made with the yarn I bought. Thanks

I'm so lucky that this place is right up the street! It's a small shop but there is a LOT of inventory, including lots of sweater quantities of yarn which I've typically had some trouble finding in Columbus yarn shops.Andrea likes to have yarn no one else in the area does, so you can always find something unique in the shop. She's very knowledgeable about her craft, too. I came in with a pattern book from the 1960s, and she was able to help me pick out appropriate 2019 yarn. Turns out, certain weights of yarn were different back in the day! I wouldn't have ever known OR even tried to look that up. Amazing! And okay, I've talked myself into it. I'm gonna stop by the shop again today...ha!

Andrea the owner was very welcoming when I went for the first time. She showed me around then left me be to look and absorb all the colors and thoughtful displays. I was very happy to heAr her dog usually presides in the store although he took a day off that day. I will return because I keep thinking about that owl project bag.

614 Knit Studio is the fun brain child of Andrea Panzica and Jennifer Flunker. These two lovely ladies are easy going, full of energy, and always willing to help you out with you knitting and crochet problems. This studio has just opened. It is cozy but not small feeling. The business model concept is focused on a sense of community and classes. In April alone there are 27 different classes available. The store itself is painted in bright pleasing colors. Attention to small details shows, from the accent molding, to the flowers in the bathroom. Inventory is on movable racks, all the space and inventory to be constantly changing. Currently, the store is well stocked. Plus, special supplies are available for each class. Classes can be purchased individually or as a class pass. The location is great. Go enjoy diner food next door then come in to knit. I look forward to many days and nights spent relaxing in this great atmosphere. Open knits are available during the day and evening. Check the store calender for more information. These class are available to one and all. I even just convinced my husband to sign up for beginner knitting. Welcome to Beechwold.

This is a great small business. Andrea and her staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I've taken a few classes there, and I left knowing what I needed to know to weave and spin fiber on a spindle. It's a great place to bring your work, sit in the front, and connect with other fiber crafters. You can't beat the small batch, hand dyed yarns. The prices are competitive. I suggest signing up for the newsletter so that you know when the sales are happening.

I will definitely be coming back this place when I visit Columbus again! The owner (not sure which one she was) was so friendly and helpful, and the ladies in there for knitting were just as inviting! The yarns are absolutely amazing! She said that she will shift her stock from time to time by offering choices from different Indy dyers on a (sorta) rotating basis.I found two skeins of absolutely BEAUTIFUL yarn that I plan on making a scarf with when it gets a bit chillier.I simply can't say enough wonderful things about this place!
