Great food and excellent service. We were in Bellfountain for a baseball tournament and 2G s graciously accommodated our whole team and parents without prior notice. Our waitress was excellent and the food was outstanding. Literally everything was delicious. The owner/cook even came out at the end of the meal to personally check on us. Overall wonderful experience and would definitely return if we are in the area again. And, the story behind the restaurant is truly inspiring.

First visit. Great waitress. Nice looking place. But this is not a BBQ place. They had a nice smell walking by and that's where it ended. My daughter had the catfish, which she raved about with collards. Basic filets that tasted good but the coating had no crunch and they greens were tasteless. She said they are usually much better. I went with the Brisket sandwich, there was no plates just a sandwich. It was touch and dried out meat. It was definitely not cooked by and smoke or fire. My guess is microwave. Not I lived in NC for a while and can recognize bad BBQ. I'd go back but definitely not for any BBQ. Sorry just honest.

Great food! Stopped on our way through town, and loved the place! Had catfish, ribs, and kids had chicken.The ribs were really good, had a great flavorful BBQ sauce. But by far George's catfish is some of the best fish I've ever had!The Lord truly blessed his hand at cooking. Very nice restaurant, very friendly staff. Will be stopping again.I was blessed by your testimony George, keep letting the Lord work through you.

Not a true bbq house, had fried and baked dishes as well. Not what I was expecting, but all good.First the sides. A solid Mac and cheese! Very cheesy! Green beans are usually over cooked, but not these! Firm and buttery!Now the meat. I'm not a huge fan of the meat coming out with bbq sause already on the meat. The meat was tasty with a good portion size. And half the brisket was cut wrong with long strands.Best side was the corn bread. Sweet and moist. No need for butter!#spicemeister moderately approved.

What a great BBQ place! We were taken here by friends after our meeting. Everyone's meal was delicious, hamburger w/pulled pork, frog legs, chef salad topped w/ pulled pork, and I got the catfish nuggets, and they melted in my mouth. The onion rings were to die for. The owner came out and asked how everything was. Bonus for me, Christian music playing Ck out this Jewell if you get a chance!

This is a great local option for top tier barbecue! The owner and his family always do a wonderful job of having a personal connection every time we are in. My two favorites are the catfish fillets and the pulled pork, but I've also heard really good things about the chicken.

Ordered catfish n shrimp meal got 1 piece of catfish along with 4 shrimp all was very over cooked also got bbq pulled pork and mac n cheese no flavor at all very disappointed

We go here rather often, and have invited others along. Good family place -- a pretty explicitly Christian owned restaurant. Service is cheerful and accurate. Prices are reasonable. Parking is on-steeet. Children's portions and meals available.Now, the food. I always get the same thing -- fried catfish, a mess of collard greens, and sometimes fried okra. The fish is epic. Crispy and hot on the outside, sweet and tender on the inside. Never yet, in my experience, under or overdone. And the greens -- best I have ever had. Anywhere. If you miss a mess of greens like back home, this is the place.Now, there's lots more -- shrimp and frog legs, and different things from cattle and pigs. I've just never tried them. My wife thinks the pulled pork sandwich is splendid, as is the Mac 'n cheese she usually gets. Guess you'll have to see for yourself.

My husband and I absolutely love everything about this restaurant! The food is amazing, it's clean, the staff is awesome, the owners are the absolute nicest people I've ever met! 10 out 10 would and do recommend this restaurant to everyone. I moved out of state and eveey chance I come back to Ohio that is the one place I visit! ​

I love the catfish and shrimp. Always delicious as are the collards and Mac and cheese. Problem is last two times we've been here they've been out of ribs. Not good for a bbq restaurant. My wife has been twice disappointed now. Hope she will get over it or I may not get catfish for a while. Thankfully at the end of dinner the waitress brought us some fresh off the grill ribs to go. Thanks to her for saving the day.
