One of the best overnight stabling facilities I've had the pleasure of utilizing. Owners responded quickly to initial email and follow up email and text communications. They met me on arrival and showed us the layout. We were given clean 10x30 covered runs with sanitized buckets and feeders, and a wheelbarrow to clean out our trailer. Timothy hay was available for $14/bale (July 2024). There are 4 pens in this group, which is separated from surrounding pens and paddocks. My horses tend to be picky but drank the water at WZ readily. There are two slots for trailer parking with electric but no water or septic hookup. Another hookup is available across the property. There was another patron parked there, and the separation allowed us both maximum privacy and biosecurity. The only negative element is about a mile of washboard gravel road leading into the property, which is not WZ Ranch's fault. The drive and little-used gravel road made a nice safe place for us to walk our dogs.We were coming off a long 20 hour haul, and really appreciated the quiet and beautiful location for a nice long rest before we hit the road again. We will definitely use WZ again!

5 stars is not enough! From the second we arrived we felt welcomed and at home. Tom and Phyllis took amazing care of us and our horses. The facility is spotless, the barns and riding arena are amazing and the scenery is breathtaking. If you are overnighting, looking for a weekend getaway (with your fuzzy kids), or just need to have someone watch your horses so you can get away, WZ should be the only place you look.

The owner is actually very nice and it is very well kept. However if you want a trainer the trainer here is dishonest and grossly unprofessional. I would not trust her with a horse or a child. She agreed to provide specific feed to our horse as it was the same the horse had for ages then tried to force a feeding program that was nothing like ours on us despite our warning that feed had caused Colic before . She said she would feed the proper feed and then did not! Also do not let her claim they blanket. They do not. They will want you to sign up for times to blanket despite full care. I believe she has a PhD in philosophy or something. Not horses. And it couldn't be more clear.

Tom Ellis deserves a raise! I asked if they had the option to only have two riders in my group and he said that they unfortunately don't offer individual tours and we would have to pay for the whole group but went beyond out of his way to give me all of the information possible to get the best options available for me and was very pleasant and friendly about it the entire time! Thank you for the wonderful business!(: especially during holidays!(:

Stayed here with overnight horse boarding service on way through CO; outstanding experience! The facilities are immaculate with a focus on safety and quality of care. Our hosts were extremely helpful, hospitable, and treated us and our horse like we were family. I cannot say enough about the professionalism, security and cleanliness of the WZ Ranch facilities. Location is convenient from the interstate, but well set back for a quiet and restful stay for the horses. No issue arriving, parking, or unhitching with large truck and gooseneck trailer; even had hookups for overnighting in LQ rig.Tom's attention to detail and care for us as his clients and the horse was a pleasure to work with. Planning a trip back to the area this fall specifically to ride the local trails and use the WZ Ranch our base of riding operations. Thank you WZ Ranch family!

I can't say enough about how positive our experience was with the WZ. Scheduling was easy and professional. We were traveling through CO with an older mare who wasn't used to long road trips or overnighting in strange places, but unlike at other stops along our cross-country move, she relaxed from the moment we unloaded her. The facilities are just amazing - safe, clean, quiet, and it's obvious that they care about your horse's wellbeing as much as you do. They have indoor and outdoor overnighting options, and we were given our choice of spots. The gated entry to the ranch adds a little extra peace of mind, and I rested easier knowing that she was comfortable and secure. Tom was the most gracious host, with a wealth of knowledge about the area. I wish we'd had time to take advantage of their riding facilities and the area trails, but we'll definitely be back! This place is an absolute gem for equine travelers.
