The last remaining yarn shop open in the Colorado Springs area. If you are a serious knitter, fiber artist, crocheter, weaver, whatever... you absolutely must put Edie's shop on your to-do list!! She is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and has every type of fiber I could imagine. I left with an entire bag of specialty yarns including Mohair, Angora, yak, Brushtail possum, and wools including Merino and Lincoln. She has every single weight that you could possibly want, and she even has qiviut. I could not believe it when I saw it. Everything was reasonably priced and she was so helpful in picking out the right weight for what I was making. I hope she stays in business for years to come. Remember, her shop is part of her home, but it is definitely separate, so you will have to drive around the back. Make sure to visit the alpacas when you go!

Location made it tough to park. No parking lot an minimal spots available for pay parking unless you go to a pay parking garage down the street and around the corner. Checked out some of their products and was shown a plastic set of double pointed needles? Interesting. People who worked there were helpful and nice but not my favorite store but didn't find anything compelling to entice me to return alter the yarn crawl.

I you like fiber art, yarn, knitting, crocheting, tatting... you owe it to yourself to check this place out!So, Woolly Works used to be on Tejon across the street from Poor Richards. There is another store there now, but it just doesn't feel the same. Thankfully, Woolly Works moved just a couple of blocks, and the new location on Bijou is even better than the previous one.The new store is brighter and so much more open. Parking is easier as their is street parking in front but also two public garages within sight. Super easy to get to from I-25. And I can get coffee two doors down at Bellas or at the other end of the block at Starbucks. All that natural light makes exploring and fondling the beautiful yarns that much more pleasurable. And what a stock and variety owner Edie offers! Apparently she's been in the fiber business for decades - her expertise and fine taste are evident in her merchandise. With so many special and niche fibers out there, Edie manages to maintain stock in a good variety of fiber, weight and price range. And speaking of expertise - Edie and her staff, especially Jennifer and Julia are the best. I've learned to knit with their help. They know how to fix pretty much any mistake I can make, and I often see others coming in for assistance with complicated knit or crochet challenges. They always seem to leave satisfied.Woolly Works offers classes - from basic to special project to even making and dyeing your own yarn. And there is free open knit - drop by with whatever fiber project you're doing, grab a seat at the big table, and meet some like minded creative folk. Open knit is Wednesday and Saturday mornings and, I think, Tuesday evenings. I've made new friends and enjoyed conversation - plus learned a few things and have seen some amazing projects.Definitely worth a stop if you're into yarn craft.

Best little Knit Shop in town...I love the selection, the knit club that meets twice a week, and how knowledgeable and helpful Edie is about her inventory. Recommend it to anyone who knits, crochets, tats, etc. Stop by downtown.

I was here for the first time in August for the yarn crawl. It was a medium sized store with a decent selection. Felt a little crowded in there and you could not get to one whole wall of yarn because a knitting class was taking place. They were not super friendly either. It was a fairly mediocre experience.

I'm so excited to have Woolly Works Knit Shop within such a short distance of my home and work! This little shop is situated right downtown next to Smiley's Bakery (how convenient...) and is filled to the brim with vibrant, texture-loving goodness! The owner is just as helpful and nice as can be. She helped me look for patterns, showed me her classroom area, and then provided me with very helpful guidance on selecting the softest yarn for a man's knit beanie for winter. I ended up with two skeins of baby alpaca wool - dreamy! One thing I was very pleased to learn is that Woolly Works offers classes throughout the month for all levels of learning - even weekend classes for children! There is a wall covered in just about every size of knitting needle you could want and I was reassured that the inventory is chalk full (just look above the shelves to the ceiling and you can see that)! This is a new, small business that deserves to thrive. Please stop by and give them your support!

This Local Yarn Shop is my place to go for quality yarn and needlework notions. They will welcome you with a smile as you come in and the staff are very helpful. They carry quality yarns and notions. I really like the Open Knitting every Saturday. It's a wonderful fellowship with other knitters and crocheters. Oh!...when you purchase a skein of yarn...They will cake it for you FREE! how awesome is that? Come and see for yourself.

I have been going to this knit shop since September. I go twice a week for the Open Knitting and for my yarn and supplies purchases. Previously, I had 'hit a wall' so to speak with my knitting endeavors. Since attending OK I have found myself to be challenged in ways like never before. Seeing other people and their projects is motivating and there is always someone to help in a pinch or give you ideas. The atmosphere is very comfortable and everyone is so friendly. And the very best part of course, is the wide selection and wonderful quality of their yarn. You won't be disappointed at Woolly Works. Stop in and see what you've been missing!!

I have been pretty disappointed in the communication of this store. When a person signs up for an expensive knitting class and hears nothing about what is going on or what to bring to the class it is frustrating. Now you may ask why didn't you call, I did for days and no one answers the phone! The only reason I even know what to bring is my friend called and told me. Once this class is over I will not b signing up for anything else through this shop.
