Great museum with friendly staff. They had lots of cool exhibits with tons of information. I loved looking at the various planes, helicopters, and other things related to aviation. I learned a lot. It's spacious so we never felt crowded. There is tons of free parking both in front of the museum and in the back of the museum. Our favorite part was the flight simulator. My kids also liked the Space Bike.We got hungry, so we didn't get through the whole museum, however, there is lots to see and do. You could very well spend hours there. It was worth the cost.

Interesting museum for a deep dive in aviation history. It's great that they put their massive hangar to use, there are lots of planes to see.Having said that, the layout is a bit strange, with everything pushed to the outer perimeter of the space, leaving the middle mostly unoccupied. It's a bit awkward having to find hidden nooks to see some of the smaller planes and other paraphernalia; almost like they didn't care if some things get skipped. There are only a handful of exhibits outside the hangar, easy to see with a quick stroll near the parking lot.All in all, for around $20 a ticket, it's not a bad way to spend a couple of hours, but I would prioritize other Denver attractions first, unless you're a huge aviation buff.

Had a family and suggested to take my parents here. It was everyone's first time except me. They all really enjoyed it. My sister wants to come back again with her husband and kids. I got excited and forgot to take pictures as well as chasing my little nephew. I did take a picture of the magnet I bought though. I always love coming here and looking at the history of changes of our country. Fascinating to see history and the incredible planes. Definitely come here if you like history and airplanes. It's great that they saved a little from Lowry Airforce Base. It was a good day with the family.

Super fun place for kids and adults! Lots of planes, helicopters, military uniforms, and more to explore. They have a great space exhibit too. Large play area for kids. Don't forget to check out the top floor where you can learn more about Lowry, and check out views from the tower!

Huge airport hangar with many old airplanes with tons of history. Easy to walk around to view each plane at your own pace. There were 2 cockpit simulators for people to get into and experience. There were at least 2 floors that were easily accessible, a gift shop, and an outdoor cafe. A fun place to take the family or just by yourself. There was a plane used in the Star Wars movie and also a plane used in Top Gun. Ask to see if there are any volunteers that can explain some of the planes.

Paid another visit to the museum so all three of the godsons can experience it. They had had fun touring a few of the cockpits though the volunteer was kind of cranky this go round. Also unfortunately two of them were too short to ride the flight simulator in which that was their main reason for going. I'm not sure if they have it in their site but it would be useful. All in all the last stop was like a daycare room that made their day. Unfortunately we had to cut it short. If we come back we'll know where to go. This visit was my personal favorite The Berlin Airlift. It's near and dear to me as I was stationed in West Berlin Germany while the wall was up.

What a spectacular museum. I was invited here as a part of an event. This spacious museum pays tribute to all of those that have contributed to our advancement in aviation. It's located on a previously active air force base. The moment you pull up to this place you are submerged into the world of aviation. So much history, artifacts, and hands on exhibits you could easily make a day out of this place. There is a gift shop that offers a wide variety of products and memorabilia. I really enjoyed this place.

It is a cool place that had vehicles from across all of the history of flight. There are a lot of warplanes, a huey, some awesome simulators, and a ULA Centaur! You can also get a look out of the control tower. The place is a good size and takes maybe 2 hours to walk through. There's a smaller second floor area also that takes you up to the tower. It makes for a great afternoon if you're in the area and the gift shop had some interesting items.

Really cool museum! Was able to see everything in 3 hours but you could spend more time here. Cool historical information and items but it's also fun to just look around as well.

Such a cool place to spend a few hours learning about the history of flight and space exploration and see the exhibits. There is a large, free parking lot and when we walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff members. There is a table where a couple of volunteers were sitting. They explained the layout of the museum, the times of the films in the theater, and what's on each floor. The main floor is a huge hangar filled with spacecraft that span decades. They have a new Wright Brothers exhibit and two flight simulators. There are small galleries with different displays along the back wall. They also have a large children's play area and restrooms with changing tables. There are a couple of fun Star Wars exhibits with a plane signed by George Lucas and cast. The written information at each exhibit is presented in easy to understand language. The second floor has the history of the Lowry Airforce base and neighborhood. The third floor is an observation tower to see the city and mountain views.I found this to be a comprehensive museum that is easy to navigate and very entertaining. The gift shop was closed for inventory but looked like it had some fun items.
