Looooove starting my morning with laps at Washington Park! Such a beautiful setting, but there's still a nice track for runners/walkers, rollerbladers, and cyclists--with clearly designated lanes!! It's probably ordinary to residents, but I geek out over this on every trip to Denver.

Wash Park has a lot of water for a city park and is fun to walk around. There's plenty of seating/benches and it has easy walking paths. It kind of reminds me more of Sloan's Lake than anything. There is a lot of parking, just pay attention so you don't lose the car. There are a lot of people here, even on colder/winter days, but it didn't feel crowded.

One of the great things about this park is that you can find plenty of parking for free. Unlike other city parks out of state where you have to pay a parking fee, Wash Park is free. They have several parking lots but they're often closed or blocked off when I visit. But I've had zero problems finding parking. The park is huge. I remember coming here during the height of Pokémon Go and it could get crowded but it was quite fun. The paths divided between wheels and feet but a lot of people don't follow it. It's a large park with mini walking paths that slitter through the grass of the park. You'll encounter several off leash dogs at times so be careful. It's a nice park. If you want to take a seat in the benches, bring some sanitizing wipes with you.

I love Washington Park. I've been coming here since I was a kid and it's always a good experience. It's huge and there's lots of room to bike or rollerblade or run around the lakes. They have really nice playground equipment. There's good grassy areas for picnicking or volleyball shady trees And it's a good location to go have a coffee or drink or food afterwards cause there's lots of cool restaurants and bars and what not close by two thumbs up Washington Park

Visited from California. Strolled and rented a surrey bike to ride around this semi-shaded park which has 2 lakes, 2 fun playgrounds (1 across from the Boathouse/rental shop is for younger kids), flower gardens. This was perfect for a warm-ish day. Btw, single surrey and peddle boats were both $28/hr+tax. They have other rentals available too. There's porta potties, but real restroom at the bottom of the boathouse in the middle of the park.Btw, the Farmers Market on South Peak Street on Sunday is a must if you like checking out local merchants especially for food and produce. Ample parking at Denver East. Franklin and Louisiana cross streets. Port-a-potties available through the park. Unfortunately the restrooms by the tennis courts were locked up. The lawns are decently manicured with trails both concrete and gravels

Easy walk very crowded. Came here to explore the local parks. Plenty or parking around the outside areas. The ponds were lovely and frozen over. I went on a Sunday afternoon and you could not take more than 5 steps without being next to another person. If you are wanting a nice quite walk this might not be the place for you. Now if you are wanting something easy, outdoor and a little less than an hour this will be the spot for you. It is paved so you can bring strollers, bikes, skateboards or whatever else with wheels. I hoping to try it again in spring/summer and maybe ill go a little earlier in the day when less people are around.

Anyone in or visiting Denver, this is my favorite park in the city! Washington Park is a gorgeous spot for exercising or lounging in the grass alike.I personally go to Wash Park whenever the weather is nice to skate the loop! I always see people skating, riding their bikes, running, walking their dogs, etc. Also, the loop does have some road access, so every now and then you might get a car trying to park inside, but I haven't experienced it too often and it never hindered my experience.Skating here is buttery smooth since it was repaved in recent years! Be mindful of any debris that might fall from the trees, but the pavement itself is lovely!I also enjoy the water scenery all around too! It's very refreshing to be out and about at Wash Park! For going on dates with yourself or getting a friend group together for some badminton or volleyball... this spot is a vibe!

What a great green gem in the city. A Frederick Olmstead creation, you can see the details and carefully thought out design to make this park beautiful and useful. The paved path around the outside of the park is about 2.5 miles. The gravel path, which nearly follows the road borders, will earn you a little more distance. There are biking and pedestrian lanes, the bike lane runs one direction counter clockwise around the park, while pedestrians may walk in either direction with their leashed pets.Within the park there are 2 lakes and one pond. The pond, Lily Pond, is strictly youth fishing, but adults may fish on the other two. Within the park there are basketball courts, two banks of tennis courts (3 midway through the park by the basketball courts, a little beat up) and 6 down along the Louisiana Ave border (there are backboards and bathrooms here), as well as a playground, a lawn bowling pavilion, a rec center (with pool), and a boat house that can be rented out for events. Parks and Rec is currently building a new playground/picnic area near the Wheel O Fun boat & bike rentals on Smith Lake. Most weekends the grilling areas will be reserved and there will be volleyball tournaments taking up the bulk of the field. It's fun to see the park so alive with people. If you are going to try to find a spot for a picnic or a lawn party, I'd arrive early to claim your spot (keeping in mind that the picnic/grilling areas do need to be reserved online and usually well in advance).Make sure to wander through the garden that is modeled after Mt. Vernon. The flowers are meticulously maintained and a great spot for a photo shoot.

I stopped by Washington Park on a week day afternoon. It's a large park and there were a lot of people there so street parking can be a little tight but I found a spot about a five-minute walk away. If I was a local, I'd hit up this part regularly. Washington Park has large open spaces which are perfect for picnics, cornhole, and volleyball. You'll see a lot of that going on. There's also a large trail by a lake where you'll see people walking, running, and biking. You can event rent bikes and other vehicles if you don't have one. And you can similarly rent canoes and more if you want to get in the lake. Lots of different opportunities are at your disposal to get some exercise and have a good time.
