When we stopped by Merken we also ordered some food from Vladi's. It was yummy!!! I wasn't sure at first but he provided me with 3 samples and my daughter scarfed them all down without letting us try them. So we took a gamble and ordered up a pork langosh, It was GREAT!!! Here is a good article to read online about him http://www.csindy.com/coloradosprings/suppenbar-and-vladis-introduce-german-and-slovak-traditions-to-year-old-curbside-cuisine/Content?oid=2880716

Lots of European flavor to find at Vladi's!Colorado Springs Food Guy had lunch at Vladi's European Street Food Truck. The Langosh is the centerpiece of the menu. It is Hungarian style fried bread resembling a pita but the texture is soft, light and flaky and tastes so good. I sampled the Langosh Burger, the Gypsy Sandwich, the BBQ pulled pork, the Potato Griddlecake, and the Hungarian Sausage. The Langosh Burger was juicy with both Canadian and American bacon. The Gypsy Sandwich was filled with seasoned, seared pork with all the fixings wrapped in a Langosh. The pulled pork and Hungarian sausage dishes were also wrapped in Langosh and loaded with spices, peppers and onions. The ingredients tasted fresh. Their meat was tender and complimented the bread perfectly! The Potato Griddlecake was also very delightful. Mr. Vladi was also very nice and greeted us personally with a smile. He also has an array of breakfast dishes. The food truck is mostly at the Curbside Cuisine Downtown but he also attends other areas in Colorado. Looking forward to eating at more European venues! Good eastern European eats. The menu mostly features Langosh which is a fried, puff-pastry like base. Slather on some cheesy garlic sauce and your choice of meat on top and there you have it. Hard to go wrong with that combo

Food trucks are the latest craze and Vladi's is definitely one of my favorites. I love to try the newest brews at Nano 108 and devour the potato dumplings, which are a real meal with a big slab of ham and a sunny side up egg on top. You must try a langosh - east European fried bread stuffed with meat and featuring garlic sauce that is yummy. I had the pork, but you can have chicken, BBQ pulled pork, or Hungarian sausage. It comes with a fresh crisp cole slaw. Other menu items include a potato pancake (also stuffed with meat) and a "langosh burger". Give this food truck a try!

Saw European Street Food and didn't quite know what to expect. Also had no clue what langosh was, and assumed (wrongly) that it was regular pita bread. Surprise! It is fried. So, all of the sandwiches were extra-delicious (in fact, since I ate there on Friday, I've made langosh at home w/ great success.... seems sad to eat sandwiches on bread that isn't fried now that I've seen the light). The Yemeni sauce, gypsy sandwich, and sausage langosh were all very tasty. Definitely not health food, but for being fried, the bread was not greasy or heavy. It is very airy, and a little bit of dough goes a long way. Owners were very friendly, answering all of my (probably annoying) questions helpfully and politely.
