I just LOVE this shop SO much. The products are amazing - luxurious, high quality - and affordable! I was only in the shop once... before the pandemic - and I've been ordering online ever since... Then, my happy little package shows up promptly and it's The BEST gift I give to myself! Vital Living Herbs & Nutrition is an absolute Colorado gem. I wish I could give 10 stars.

I love stopping in this store any time I'm in Salida for either a fill up of their tea blends or more soap/bath bombs. This time, I got the lavender buddha, some shower steamers, the foot pumice soap, a jar of their tummy tea, and a tea diffuser. Their prices are very fair - I've seen similar soap at farmer's markets for $3-$4 more dollars and it doesn't even smell as nice. The tea has been great so far and looking forward to trying the breathe easy shower steamers!

*PRODUCTS STAIN* I never, ever write one star reviews. Especially not for small businesses. However, their bath bombs stain. And I mean STAIN. I just spent an hour scrubbing my newly blue skin and the bright blue ring off my tub, and it's Not. Coming. Off. I'm not sure if the products themselves have been tested. How could this be missed? Sad, because they smell great. But this is bad, y'all. Formula and colorant defjnitneeds to be changed.

I ordered today online for my parents who are struggling with respiratory issues from Covid-19. In the comments of my order I made a comment and asked they include the steam directions. Shortly after placing my order, I received a call from the store with a recommendation of a different oil as the breathe blend would best fit the respiratory needs versus the oil I chose. I greatly appreciate the attention of the store owner and staff to take the time to call and customize my order! So very caring and I am grateful for a business to go the extra mile to take care of people during this time of need. I can't wait to get up to Salida again soon and come visit in person, until then I'll be a loyal customer as the stores blended oils are great! My favorite is anxiety & stress relief blend.

Rude. Was on the phone the whole time. Said hi but still had her back to me. My sister came into the store after me and didn't greet her at all. My sister has two people in her family with skin issues and wanted to ask questions but needless to say didn't feel welcome. I hope the skincare is nice because she was not.

Time heals all wounds. The last review for this cute little herbal shop was 3 years ago, and I've got to say, our experience was nothing like the one described.We stumbled upon this shop while wandering around Downtown Salida, which is pronounced Sal-EE-da, the Spanish word for exit. Salida has that independent, free wheeling, artistic vibe that everyone loves in small towns, so it makes sense that it would have a hippity dippity herbal apothecary! We didn't come in with any real purpose, but we had fun checking out the selection of essential oils (I didn't notice any food grade), various lotions, soaps, creams, and all of the loose teas and herbs available. My sister-in-law was fighting a bit of a cold with a cough and got to talking with them about possible solutions. She's Chinese and prefers eastern medicine and herbal remedies whenever possible, so this was a great find. The shopkeeper got her a soothing and expectorating throat spray which, unfortunately only worked partially.I was impressed by the amount of information the shopkeep was sharing and how knowledgeable she was with all of her products. She was friendly and sweet too! If this is your kinda place, then I suggest swinging in! If nothing more, you're sure to learn some interesting stuff!

I was staying at the Palace Hotel up the street and loved the scent hand soap in my room. Finding out it was a local product with all natural ingredients, and having a coupon from the hotel, I decided to check the place out! Holy moly! What a gem! So many products, from scrubs to soaps to bath bombs to lotion to make-up... all hand made with natural ingredients! My coworkers had suggested getting the body BadAss Body Buff, so I got some. After dinner, I took a shower, and I AM OBSESSED. It smells amazing, my skin is so smooth, and I know I am using a high quality product.The staff are also extremely friendly and so nice, they walked over some pre-ordered products for coworkers for me to take back to them. I look forward to coming back when I am in town, or ordering online.

I stopped in with a friend while we were visiting Salida on our camping trip in August. I was looking for some products for my wife and there was a very nice selection. The lady working was so friendly and inviting. She chatted with us and I bought a few things to take home. We ended up running into her and her family at the river later that day and again it was very pleasant conversation. When I returned home to Omaha, my wife was very pleased with the products I brought her. She enjoyed the lemon and honey facial cleanse milk so much that she bought more for herself, her mother and a friend. Vital Living packed and shipped to us so fast too! My wife swears that this is the best facial wash she's ever used. I have to say thank you again for a very memorable experience, service and amazing products. See you next year!

I love the Vital Living products and have been using them for years. My family have been using the herbs and skin products also and absolutely love them. I do hope to visit the store in person again soon.

Having lived in Salida for nearly 20 years, I consider myself a local. I walked in today to get some hand soaps as gifts for friends overseas, and the woman behind the counter never even looked at me or greeted me. I walked around the store for probably five minutes, and she had her back to me nearly the entire time. This has happened before when I was in the store so I don't think it's a coincidence that the associates are not even trained to greet guests with a smile and a "hello" as they walk in the door.
