Our friends and I stopped in after skiing Monarch for a wine flight. Each couple got a dry wine tasting which consisted of two whites (vino Bianco, dry Riesling, Vino Rosso, and a Cabernet franc). My husband and I aren't huge wine drinkers but we liked the Riesling and vino rosso. The vino bianco was light and our group agreed it tasted like lychee a bit - in a good way! The cab franc had a fair amount of tannins and I could feel it in my cheeks. The service was great too - the man behind the counter was friendly and shared the tasting notes of all the wines when it was served. The interior of the building is super cozy (there was an electric fireplace going which was perfect), and I loved all the plants and decorations. In the summer, the outside area I imagine is very nice to sit at. Our friends ended up grabbing a bottle of red to bring home and age for a few years.

Great wine bar in Salida! We visited when they had live music and it was enjoyable. It is a small space inside but the service and wine selection was great! They even have double bottles of wine available for purchase in plastic bags (which we bought to bring on a backpacking trip)!

It's taken me a long time to decide to write up which has become one of my favorite establishments in town. Vino Salida is fun. The staff make this place a wonderful experience. There are a couple of wines that keep me coming back. The Cab is pleasant and Vino's new Malbec is amazing. Seriously. Amazing. The variety of wines is paired with quite the variety of small plate dishes as well. Whether you're hankering for hummus and olives, or craving bruschetta or soups; Vino has something for everyone. Vino also sells beer for those non wine drinkers. You'll be pleasantly surprised when you come visit.

In the words of Larry David, "Pretty... pretty good." I was pleasantly surprised at Vino Salida's offerings. Not all Colorado wine tastes good, but they manage to make some tasty varietals. If you can get your hands on a bottle, their Pet Nat (sparkling, less filtered) wine is great for celebrations or with a sweet treat. And, like many Colorado based wineries, their Cab Franc is quite tasty as well. This has become part of the Salida rotation when making a weekend trip down south.

What a great find! They have live music every Saturday night when we happened to stumble in. They have a great local wine selection and are completely willing and happy to do tastings and walk you through their differences. Cute little food menu that all pairs well with wine! Must stop!

Our afternoon at Vino Salida Wine Bar was a wonderful experience! Shelly and Jodie were great hosts. They were friendly and efficient, making sure our wine drinking and munchies eating needs were met! The music playing gave the place a cool and easy vibe. We are still talking about Jodie's classic bruschetta and the "hooker wine". Thank you Shelly and Jodie for being cool and competent! Oh, and the price for our experience was well worth it! Great for a date or happy hour! Highly recommend!
