Hands down, 100%, absolutely, bar none, best veggie burger in the entire state of Colorado! This is from a vegetarian with over 45 year's experience. I've traveled over 350,000 miles criss-crossing Colorado for work and recreation, from Julesburg to Cortez and from Craig to La Junta, and all points in between. I ALWAYS stop at Villa Grove Trade for a veggie burger whenever my travels allow! Authentic atmosphere, friendly people, real handmade fries in the spud capital of Colorado, and THE BEST veggie burgers I've ever eaten!!

HOMEMADE fries! Yum! Yum! Yum! Perfectly cooked. This place has been famous to us forever for the chili. The chili this time was not quite as good as it used to be. I'm a spice wimp and even I think the chili could use just a little more spice and tlc. However, the meal was very yummy and so filling. Yes, you should stop here. And, yes, if you want to use the facilities you should buy a drink or a banana or a pastry. Frankly you should do that at ALL places you stop, even if it's a big national chain! It's a business! How do you expect them to survive if you don't transact some business with them? The pay it forward board is cool!

Being in Villa Grove, you cant miss this stop. Its the only restaurant in town. So wonderful to. We stopped in for breakfast and grabbed some homemade sweets to go. Definitely well worth the stop, and the scenery, the old building and the small store.

Stopped in after attending the Seven Peaks music festival and hearing how great the food was. The BLT didn't disappoint with crispy bacon, fresh red and ripe tomatoes, and sourdough bread. Sweet potato fries were also delicious.

Just stopped for lunch and we were treated to yummy food by incredibly friendly staff. It's a few small tables at the back of kitschy trading post with quick service and a quaint atmosphere. Delicious baked goods round out the meal. Easy to drive by but look for the letter T sign.

Villa Grove Trade is the BEST! I will always stop here when driving by. The Philly cheese steak and homemade French fries were amazing. They have homemade pies and cookies, they are to die for. Our waitress, also the owner was very kind and attentive. The front of the restaurant is a store filled with local goods. Highly suggest stopping by!

We were needing some coffee en route to the sand dunes and were figuring we'd have to make do with whatever gas station we passed when we came across this little gem. The coffee was really good and the food was home-cookin tasty!! I had the breakfast sandwich and my husband had the biscuits and gravy, which was so good. We were so full but there were all of these homemade pies that looked amazing so we couldn't leave without a slice. I mean, who can pass up homemade pie, right?? Anyways, we got a slice of the coconut cream pie to go. Can't wait to try it!! I didn't catch the name of the woman who ran the place but she gave us a warm friendly greeting when we arrived and great service while we dined there. Don't skip this charming place if you're traveling through!

We stopped here during our road trip for the grand reopening! Our server Jill was incredibly kind and lively. California BLT was perfect. Homemade cherry pie to die for. Highlight was watching all the locals come in to show their love and support for the new owners. Will be back :)

Stopped while following a school trip. Had a toddler with me who needed to potty. She peed in the parking lot because if you don't spend money inside they won't allow use of the restroom. Why bother stopping. I have been here in the past and it was awesome but now... nope. Didn't try the food, service person was unhelpful, didn't pay much attention to the ambiance. Kid had to pee.
