All work is authentic.I went in to see if I could find out if my silver pin (from the 1980s) was indeed Hopi. It was. My bracelet with Hopi design was not. (They told me it was likely Navajo). I learned that the stamp on the back of each authentic Hopi piece was the artist's "signature".Besides jewelry, I really liked the Inuit soapstone carvings, the southwest pots; San Ildefonso, Acoma etc. In addition, the store is on very fun street for shopping; 2505 Colorado Ave, Old Colorado City, Colorado Springs, CO

I cannot say enough about Velez Galleries. I was so impressed with the knowledge, customer service and selection of stones that are cut and polished on site. You can even have a custom piece of jewelry made or have raw stones made into incredible pieces. There's an incredible selection of local stones and a huge selection of turquoise. I purchased this stunning Colorado Malachite at a really reasonable price. Thank you so much for an incredible experience!

Beautiful indigenous art. This gallery has become a tradition to visit whenever my dad and I come to Colorado. Michael, the store owner, is friendly and knowledgeable. He is a talented creator. I also have several painting prints from his brother. To make it even better, his sweet dogs work there too!

This is a must see when visiting Old Colorado Springs! My husband and I stayed in this area in vacation and happened upon this store while in town. It is owned by local Native Americans and is filled with the most beautiful variety of Native American Art. You can spend a lot of time in this store and not see everything. My husband and I went backtwice! Some of the most beautiful and intricate art and jewelry I have seen which is all hand made by true Native Americans. The owner Mike was so knowledgeable and has great stories about all the art/jewelry and where it came from and the history. It was an honor to talk with him. He has owned the business for 35 years and uses his store to support other Native American artist. A true must see! Go support these amazing humans!

The most exquisite art gallery in Old Colorado City. The owner Mike Velez has put his heart and sole into presenting authentic native Indian art from all over the world. Walk in the door and Mike, a genuine hard working red, white and blue American is their to meet you most of the time. His personal hand made jewelry is exceptional. A gallery of art that is a highlight of Colorado Boulivarde.

I need to give full marks to Velez Galleries. First of all, their stock is correct. Hopi Silver is in the Hopi Section. Navajo silver is in the Navajo section. Mexican/Aztec influence is n the Mexican/Aztec section. Everything is labeled and correct. It is important to me to buy a piece that is not only beautiful, but not from a foreign country or a copy-cat artist.On top of that, the prices are reasonable and they were willing to ship my item, a lovely Queztlcoatl Aztec pot, so I did not have to risk damage on my flight home. I love this shop and everything he has in it is absolutely beautiful . The detail in these works of art is a must-see. The owner goes above and beyond. He is super friendly and very knowledgeable about all the different artists' work in his shop. If you have never been in, you most definitely should check it out.
